Horrible service!! In 2024, telling me that the only way you can accept payment is by me giving you my credit card information over the phone is crazy!! On top of that, no one can come out for almost 24hrs from now? This just feels like a scam or major problem waiting to happen, I'll pass. Technician was on time and professional. Poor review is for their office staff who charged me double the advertised price for lock service. I left a voicemail inquiring about the discrepancy, but they did not return the call or follow up on the billing dispute in any way. Looking at other reviews and their BBB profile, this is not the first time they've fraudulently billed customers. offered service but did not bring all needed replacement material , refused to make new key but made us pay a very high price claiming service was performed but it was only half way. In order to write a one star review, I have to be motivated by what I see as a combination of incompetence and poor manner on the part of the vendor. Elite is run by a perfectly charming couple who are clearly not in touch with the actual running of their business, and that makes for a very disappointing and, in our experience, expensive experience. We had them install two mechanical locks on two office doors. That was three months ago. The product itself was unattractive and clumsily installed, but I don't need a lock to be beautiful, I need it to lock the door. The installers were a desultory group occasionally verging on rude, but I don't need installers to be Miss Manners, I need them to properly install the lock. In the ensuing 90 days, we've had them out at least 8-10 times (more?) to repair pretty much everything about these locks. To my knowledge, "Elite" never showed up on schedule and frequently never showed up until days later, during which time the door to my building remained frequently unsecured. A low point was having to prop open the door with a shoe so it wouldn't close (locking everyone out in the process) for days, while we waited for some part to arrive. Now I'm being told it's our fault, and that I guess I should have an in-service training for my 52 person staff on how to lock and unlock the door without breaking it. Is that a problem with my staff, or a problem with the lock(s)? We're done. I'm calling this a sunk cost, purchasing a new door, and having a company that actually knows what it's doing install a lock that actually works. My front door lock was broken. I'm pretty handy so I took it apart but found that it really needed more than I could do. I was right. Because of the age of the lock and because I didn't not want to change all of the pretty brass handles that I had I needed help. I called the Elite Lock and Key because of location. There were no nearby locksmiths that were rated on Yelp. The Locksmith they sent, Ron, arrived within a half an hour. It turned out to be a much tougher job than he and I thought it would. Ron actually had to take parts back to the shop and reconstruct pieces so that they would fit properly. I really appreciated the efforts Ron put into fixing my old lock and I recommend him highly. I needed copies of keys to my dad's house: one for the front door and one for the sliding door. I asked my hubby to get a leopard print key for the front door so that it would be different from the zebra print key to our house. They delivered on that. Now the sliding door is another story. The first copy did not work. A week later, my hubby returned to get another copy. They asked for a receipt. He didn't have it, but the key copy had the company's name on it so obviously he got it from there. He was willing to pay again as we just needed a working copy. They didn't charge him and made another copy. Guess what?? Doesn't work! So glad we weren't charged again, but we're still without a working key and have two worthless copies. Boo. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I came to this location on two occasions and no one was on site to service me DURING BUSINESS HOURS. The first time this happened, I left and called an hour later and was told to come back as there are techs there now. The second time this happened, I called and was told that all of the techs were out. The second time I came at 6:30pm on Wed. February 28th. They didn't close until 8pm. When I called, Elite Lock & Key representative, Justin, hung up on me when I complained that this is the second time I have come and no one is there! I called back to see if this issue could be handled and he hung up again! THIS LEVEL OF SERVICE is horrible. I would not recommend them to your friends or family. If you want to get disrespected and waste your time, come here. Really, it is never acceptable to handle a customer like this. I would not recommend their service. Go somewhere else. read more

I recently used Elite to re-key the locks on my doors after my house key was stolen. They offered me a better rate than several other locksmiths that I called and they scheduled a tech to come out around my work schedule. The tech was professional, prompt and very nice. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this company and it was probably a rare case. They were suggested through AAA when I lost my car key and needed another one. After I contacted them at 7:37 PM, they were able to arrive at 9:33. From that point, the locksmith worked on making a key until 12:15 (perseverance) before calling it quits and driving me home (which was nice but necessary). I then took a taxi back to my car in the morning from another town once I knew they were working on my car. They were friendly people and I'm sure they tried their best but I needed immediate help and they could not deliver. I missed a night of work and made the people that were relying on me suffer equally because I could not depend on this company. read more
