I tried to clean it up, but I guess I didn't do a great job, because after that, things slowly started going downhill. The screen would randomly go black, it lagged like crazy, and some of my games just wouldn't run right. After dealing with that for almost a year, I finally decided to have it looked at. I had taken it to another shop once before for a different issue, but they kept my PC for over a week and honestly, I don't think they diagnosed it properly--because the hot chocolate mess was never addressed, and the problems continued. This time, I found Fix My PC, and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman there was super kind and clearly knew what he was doing. The shop is small, but don't let that fool you--he's sharp. After a proper diagnosis, he found the issue: the video card had been damaged from the spill. He cleaned it out thoroughly and replaced the card--and had it all done in just 3 days! I couldn't believe it. Fast, accurate, and no upselling or runaround. A couple weeks pass by without any notice so I call and they let me know they are still looking into it. More time passes and no news, telling me they are looking into it and Larry will call me back. About 3 months later, and they tell me they cant find it. 4 months later I am moving and they have not responded about my laptop, at this point ignoring me and not returning any call. , they never did to begin with. Almost 8 months later and they have chosen to not respond still and my laptop is missing. My theory is they kept it, gave it away, or sold it. Regardless it was my property and they did not have consent to do this and it hadn't even been a year. What is wrong with you Team Nerds? Long story very short. I picked it up, many days after it was promised.... No software had been installed, no needed files. Every file was left, uninstalled as an icon on the desk top. Nothing worked... Nothing. It was surreal.... Like a bad dream. After spending 150.00, and reading the glowing Yelp reviews, I really expected more. Don't be stupid and hopeful.....I'm just not sure why one would consider using this business.

It was a nightmare having to head over to an Apple Store and wait through a long line. They gave me an estimate of $700 in repairs and then even forget to send me a copy of the estimate. Working with Alex was a breeze, who kept clear communication with me every step of the way. The repair price was nearly a third of what Apple was asking from me, plus a discount for non-profit organizations! Eventually, we ran into complications. The shipment of one of the parts came in late, but Alex offered a generous discount for the tardiness, despite the fact that the shipment was beyond his own control. Later, we discovered that the battery replacement we received was not what we were expecting. It was difficult to get the correct battery for such a new model.
