I highly recommend Call the Ninja for computer repair services. I had to replace the fan and battery of our church's MacBook Pro Retina Display due to a liquid spill. It was a nightmare having to head over to an Apple Store and wait through a long line. They gave me an estimate of $700 in repairs and then even forget to send me a copy of the estimate. Working with Alex was a breeze, who kept clear communication with me every step of the way. The repair price was nearly a third of what Apple was asking from me, plus a discount for non-profit organizations! Eventually, we ran into complications. The shipment of one of the parts came in late, but Alex offered a generous discount for the tardiness, despite the fact that the shipment was beyond his own control. Later, we discovered that the battery replacement we received was not what we were expecting. It was difficult to get the correct battery for such a new model. Despite the difficulties, Alex kept his cool and walked me through what steps I could take from there. He replaced my fan and returned my laptop to me, together with a refund. It's one thing to be able to provide services when things go smoothly, but it's also another thing to still provide customer satisfaction even when things don't go as planned. I "Called the Ninja" last week about an issue with my Dell laptop. Alex answered the phone and asked me to describe the problem (my laptop was taking too long to boot and was super slow). Skip the long lines and ridiculous prices at the apple store, geek squad and macmall. Alex was able to fix my crashed mac hard-drive within just two days and at an amazing price. After making at least a dozen phone calls to various computer repair shops telling me my computer was as good as dead and that I need to pay upwards of $100 for a diagnosis, it was a huge relief to finally find an honest and decent person who didn't try to make me buy new hard-ware or soft-ware that I didn't need, or charge me an arm and a leg just to find out what was wrong with my computer. I have had a positive experience with these guys. I had an issue with my external hard drive & wanted to get it fixed. I spoke with Alex over the phone & he offered to collect the drive from my place to test it at their shop. The only reason i could not get the hard drive fixed eventually is because of the high cost to get it fixed. But thats perfectly understandable. It would have been the same in any shop. These guys are thoroughly professional. They pick your stuff & drop it back at your place in case you are not able to make it to their shop. The best part, they dont charge you a single penny until they give you a quote on the price it would take for them to resolve your problem. If the deal doesn't go through, they still would drop the stuff back at your place. It always seems that my choices are: giant companies who just hire cheap guys who don't know what they're doing or smaller shops who may be ripping me off.
