After picking up at Quinnipiac, we tried Eli's for the first time. We got there at the open on a Saturday. There's only a handful of parking spots attached, so we were able to get one. 2 of us had the smokehouse burger, and it was outstanding. Cooked to perfection and onion strings were plentiful. I've had the same burger at wood-n-tap nearby, and Eli's is better! My son tried the honey siracha chicken rice bowl, but didn't like it. Barely ate anything. Our server was fine and the interior and bathrooms were impressive. Other yelps mention a recent remodel, but it was a first impression for me and I liked it!

Stopped in for happy hour one day since the renovations and I'm so glad I did! One of the best buffalo chicken wraps I've ever had! So fresh and flavorful. The service was great and the place was packed!

First time here and it was such a pleasant experience. Tanasia was amazing and very attentive. She was so pleasant. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and what was available at the bar. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and gives a minimalistic, but comforting vibe. I the food itself was amazing. I seriously loved those Korean bbq wings on their specials menu. So amazing, I asked for a side of the sauce for my cali chicken BLTA. Definitely a must come to if you are in the Hamden area. I'll be here again!

I've heard nothing but good things about this place, so a family member and I got dinner from here recently. The exterior and interior are all newly renovated and it looks amazing inside and out. Staff was friendly and the food was excellent. I started off with their grilled chicken panino. It was very good, in particular I liked the pesto aioli. All the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. Fries were also delicious. However, the rosemary chicken rigatoni blew me away. Al dente pasta, tender chicken and a delicious rosemary cream sauce with a generous amount of bacon. The bacon flavor is strong and kinda fought for center stage with the rosemary, but I'm not complaining in the slightest; this was sensational. The family member had the Judith Point calamari and the chicken florentine; they said they're the best versions of those dishes that they've ever had. I now see why so many people love this restaurant. This was a fantastic meal. This place easily earns its 5.

Bustling Saturday Night for the 150th Kentucky Derby! Everything was very good and plenty of draft beer selections too. Our large party started off with nachos, chipotle wings, avocado egg rolls and crispy Brussel sprouts. Everything was tasty and were excellent portions! For dinner, the Fish n Chips, Honey Sirracha Chicken and Ahi Tuna were great! The chicken parm looked good too - with Eli's own vodka sauce recipe. My wife said it was very good. We also tried the Cali Burrito and my Son loved it. Definitely will return next time I'm in the Hamden area. Only ding is parking is a hassle.

Recently went to Eli's (September 24) and had an awesome martini at the recommendation of the bartender. And she was spot on with the martini. I also heard that they have a really good pistachio martini which I will try next time I go. Also had a great smokehouse burger and fries.

Came here for a fundraiser and they have a private room on the ground floor. It has bathrooms on that level. It is also equipped with a service bar. We did a buffet and all the items were very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking is limited and you could park in their back lot( 6 spaces) or across the street in their pizza restaurant. If both are full you will need to park on the street.

    Cheers! #AperolSpritz

My friend and I thought we would grab a bite for dinner from here and I'm so happy that we did! There is an extensive selection of beers, ciders, and specialty cocktails. Although chilly in here, we had a nice time. My parents loved the food too which was great. Tonight I got the Arepa which apparently, I won't get again because it's the second time I've had it (not here the first time) and didn't care for it. The pulled pork on top was good though I just don't care for the dish itself. A bit bland. My picture unfortunately didn't come out good for that dish. My dad got the Panko Crusted Fish Sandwich and my mom got the nachos. They loved what they got. I've been in the past and had the pizza, the poutine, pork belly sandwich, etc. I'd love to try the crab dip and whipped ricotta someday. Fun spot.

The dining room was so loud esp when the bartenders were shaking drinks as if they were starring with Tom Hanks in "cocktail" We had the pea salad which was very fibrous and chewy (a 10 second Blanche wouldn't hurt) and the burger was tasty but served with frozen French fries, and way too much of them. Considering the style of menu, frozen fries don't belong on the menu. The fish was overcooked and dry. Overall, it's an inconsistent experience. Dinner for 3 was $200 with 1 shared app, 2 burgers and the fish course plus 3 drinks.

Glenwood Drive-In is a historic family restaurant that opened in Hamden, Connecticut in 1955. It…read morewas founded by Rocky Stone. The property was originally a small drive-in that operated under a different name. Stone purchased the drive-in after working as a Tip-Top salesman and deliveryman. He renamed it "Glenwood" and expanded the menu, hours and the physical building. After Stone passed away in 1960, his son Frank "Wayne" Stone took it over and he continues to run it today. In the early days, the Glenwood had a walk-up service window similar to establishments such as Dairy Queen. Over the years, Wayne remodeled the interior and added an indoor seating area. The menu consists of staples such as footlongs, chili dogs, cheeseburgers, clam strips, lobster rolls, soft shell crab, fries, onion rings, and much more! Although the establishment is no longer a traditional drive-in restaurant, the Glenwood still hosts classic car "Cruise Nights" every Wednesday during the warmer months. In 1985, Wayne's daughter opened "Kelly's Cone Connection": an adjoining ice cream parlor business that is connected to the Glenwood. Although both businesses share the same space, they operate as separate entities. Kelly makes all of her own ice cream, hot fudge, waffle cones, ice cream pies and birthday cakes in house. Customers can expect to choose from about 35 different flavors on any given day. My family and I recently stopped for dinner at Glenwood Drive-In. Growing up in the area, I visited the Glenwood several times throughout my childhood. I also frequently accompanied my father to "Cruise Nights" when he still owned a 1971 Triumph TR6. On this outing, we ordered a variety of menu items including a "Chili Cheese Dog", "Footlong", "Chicken Fingers w/ Fries", and "Fried Shrimp w/ Fries". There's something about those classic menu staples that just really hit the spot. Afterwards, we headed through the adjoining doorway to Kelly's Cone Connection for dessert. It was a special occasion because the ice cream parlor was hosting a meet & greet with Spider-Man himself. The event coincided with the release of a new monthly special called the "Spidey-Sundae" (Firework 250 Poprock ice cream w/ golden Oreos, a frosting and sprinkle rim w/ a cotton candy web, poprocks, & a Spider-Man ring). My sons both had a blast meeting Spider-Man and eating his special ice cream treat. I tried a different monthly special: the "New England Clam Chowder" (sweet cream salted caramel ice cream w/ white chocolate "clams", dried mint, vanilla wafers, white chocolate shell). The presentation was immaculate and the flavor combo was simply divine! If you're looking for classic American drive-in food along with some fantastic ice cream, then head to Glenwood Drive-In and Kelly's Cone Connection!
