The decor, the ambiance and every single detail is intentional in this place! It adds to the senses of the trip you're about to take! First off Ismael was the most amazing server and the supporting cast too! From the bread rolls to his suggestions, every single plate was fresh, delicious and made with umami!! The chef even glanced at our table a time or two to enjoy our faces as we enjoyed the dishes he carefully prepared. Went there for happy hour to sample some dishes before committing to an entire meal and it was disappointing as one of our orders was smelt and they were out--so THEY suggested clams which we happily agreed to try as a substitute--until they came back out and told us they were also out.... Service was okay. The house happy hour white was clearly Kirkland $4.99/bottle Pinot Grigio, which is fine. The 1 app we were able to try was the lamb riblets which were very succulent. The restaurant is well decorated and captures the Greek vibe. It was very busy on a Saturday night, even for our early dinner starting before 6:30pm. Here's what we got: -Pikilia (4.5/5) A great combo of the 3 pita dips - tzatziki, melitzanosalata, and htipiti, served with pita and veggies. I wanted try all of them, so I'm glad they offered this! The tzatziki was our favorite of the 3. -Kokkinisto (5/5) The slow braised lamb shank is PHENOMENAL. The orzo goes perfectly with it. A must try dish. -Seafood Paella (4/5) Points for including a whole lobster tail. This was tasty, but I've also had better paella. A little salty. -Baklava (4/5) Comes with two pieces. Good but a bit dry and unsatisfying on it's own, I'd suggest ordering a scoop of ice cream to go with it, to feel more like a complete dessert. Had a chance to have lunch at Elia with a friend and really enjoyed it. I had a choice of an inside table or an outside table and on this particular afternoon I chose the inside. It is a Mediterranean style restaurant and they had blankets on each seat back Mediterranean style blanket hostess was Meagan on this day. On this particular day, I enjoyed a shrimp dish that was served sizzling hot in a skillet with vegetables and olives. I have to say it was quite good. They also serve fresh bread. My friend had the Brandino and told me that it was excellent as well and I can vouch for that as I tasted it. It was served with a salad. They had an extensive drink menu although on this day I had chamomile tea. My friend had an Arnold Palmer. There are quite a few restaurants so it would've been easy to miss but I'm glad I tried it and I look forward to going back again. Ambiance is nice, it reminds me of being in Greece, only noisy, but that's an American thing, not the fault of the restaurant. They seem to do cute things for birthdays. Hostess was very kind, service was great, there is always someone walking past the tables. We had the meatballs, zucchini cakes and octopus for appetizers. All were very good. For mains we had the lamb shank and halibut which were both delicious. For dessert we had the philo berry something and the lemon cheesecake. The presentation was good, the lemon cheesecake was better than the berry dish - overall we were surprised the dessert portions were small and not quite what we expected - they were pretty but expensive for what they were. The only negative was people from the bar started leaning on the divider wall between the tables and the bar and yelling as they spoke. Luckily this was at the end of our meal so we could leave. We ordered fried calamari, seafood paella, grilled octopus, feta and watermelon, a bottle of wine, and the pita bread with dip, and ended it with grilled pear dessert. I enjoyed mostly everything except the paella rice and feta with watermelon. Paella rice was not cooked evenly. Rice was wet and mushy outside and hard from the inside. Feta with watermelon was a weird mix and not my taste so I did not like it. Our waiter was very attentive and always checking up on us if we need anything. Terrible experience. They messed up my reservation I had made 3 weeks in advance. They were unapologetic and did not care. I understand mistakes can happen, but the way this situation was handled and the lack of accountability was concerning. They also misspelled my friend's name on the menu after confirming the spelling over two separate phone calls, and yet after waiting 30 minutes for a correction, they misspelled it again! On top of that, the bathroom was so dirty and at 8 pm there was no toilet paper. This place has clearly gone downhill, dirty bathrooms, poor service, and not worth the price. We won't be back, there are plenty of better options with great service where we'd rather spend our money. read more

We had a reservation at Elia, arrived early, and still waited over 45 minutes at the bar with no table ready. When we asked about an empty table that was already set and ready, the manager was rude and dismissive. We expressed our frustration firmly and were told to "calm down", then shockingly told to leave. We left hungry and disappointed. Overall: 3.5/5 Food: 7/10 Service: 6/10 Ambience: 7/10 Here's what we ordered: -Octopus Appetizer: Though the octopus has a fantastic char-grilled flavor, the texture was more in the squishy side. It was very tender, however, and the inclusion of the vegetables/fruits provided a much-needed acidity to brighten up the dish. The portion was quite small though; only one octopus leg was served. -Calamari Appetizer: The calamari tasted fresh and bouncy, not frozen. The side of fried jalapeños and shoestring onions was refreshing alongside the chipotle yogurt dipping sauce. Though I prefer my calamari to be more lightly-breaded, it was one of the better calamari starters I've tasted. -Lamb Chops Entree: Quite a generous portion of 3. The meat was tender but felt a little dry and lean. The meat was not at all gamey, but I wish they were more lenient on the chimichurri sauce -Lobster Bucatini Entree: Though the lobster was cooked well, the dish overall was quite disappointing. It tasted almost like an alfredo with some acidity from tomatoes. I think bucatini was not the right vehicle to pair with the sauce -Poached Pear Dessert: After reading raving reviews, we opted to try this dessert. The pear flavor was very light and not at all prominent. It felt like they skimped out on the ice cream. Not too impressed by this dessert. Cocktails: We ordered Fire of Olympus and if you like your cocktails boozy, you found a great spot! Not much blackberry flavor at all, but we were impressed with the kick in the cocktail's flavor. Service: Though the bus boys frequently come by to fill up your water, the service was quite slow and lacking. The table next to us was acquainted with the owners and they received much more attentive care and service. Not only that, but they were standing in the aisles and getting closer to our table. It was almost difficult to enjoy ourselves. Throughout the night, we were only approached one time to ask about the satisfaction from our meals. Ambience: We thought this would be a romantic anniversary dinner, but we were definitely wrong. The music was extremely loud and holding a conversation with the person in front of you was quite difficult. Since we were seated by the bar, privacy was lacking; people were essentially looking over us with their cocktails and crowding our table. Other than that, I was impressed by the wall decor. It felt like we were transported to Greece. If you're looking for quiet, intimate dining on a Saturday night, look elsewhere. For one of my last reviews of the year - Elia! Elia is a Greek restaurant that has a heavy Greek islands light Turkish influence - think Chios, with a nice Çeşme lean to it. I ordered the seabass and dolmas and both were fantastic. My fish was seasoned perfectly and I loved that the dolmas had a bit more of a yaprak aura to them. The service was friendly and prompt and (aside from the fact they sadly don't serve mastiha), we enjoyed everything about our meal! I went here for Moussaka at lunch. Although it was on the menu, they said it wasn't available because they were still making it. This seemed very odd. I ordered Keftedes instead. It was supposed to come with eggplant chips, but I didnt get them. When I asked the server said they were still making them. This seemed to be a trend. The decor was very pretty.
