3 Michelin starred fine dining restaurant located in NYC right across Madison park. We've been wanting to go here for a while and finally found a slot available today, 5/9/26 at 12:45m. From the beginning we were greeted warmly; they took our coats and umbrellas. Our "main server/host" Lorenna was great and explained things thoroughly. Overall, ambience was very chill and the decor was very simple; service was on point (not surprised) and staff was friendly. Food was great to my surprise as I went there with hesitation but came out satisfied. We had mix of veggies and meat/seafood but everything turned out great. Def worth more than Per Se.

The food, service, and ambiance were among the best I've ever experienced. Up until that point, the evening felt really special. Unfortunately, the thing I'll remember most from our visit is finding a piece of plastic in my dessert. To their credit, they handled it graciously and removed the non-alcoholic pairing from the bill, which we appreciated. But after that moment, it became the main thing we talked about, and it overshadowed the rest of the experience. At this level, a mistake like that is hard to overlook.

What a joy to update my review to 5 stars. Team again as always-top notch. The food this time was 10/10. Bravo!! The flaky croissant bread with hints of mushroom. The lettuce hearts with almond ricotta. This menu was so good, I feel like I need to go again before the season is out. Krug by the glass-loved that. A variety of tea offerings-I was happy with my selection of elderflower. Love the curated art throughout. The balloon is my favorite.

Excellent service. Beautiful building and vibes. Fun private kitchen tour. Amazing wine pairings and cocktails. Food was very mediocre though. The best ones were the ones that tried to deviate a little from the beaten path, I.e. tamarind soup. Chicken truffle was okay, if not chewy. Scallops were decent but not spectacular. Everything else was forgettable, sadly.

A lovely THREE HOUR meal, but I wouldn't exactly highly recommend it since it's pretty pricey (~$1k for 2) and the experience wasn't worth it (at least for us). My g&t didn't come with a garnish, I felt that was a bit odd for a Michelin restaurant, if not passive aggressive. While most dishes were creative, well executed, and unique the meal dragged for hours--I felt ready to go after the first couple hours. We celebrated our anniversary which was nice but we didn't feel like the staff were celebrating *with* us which we've had the pleasure of experiencing at other anniversary dinners (i.e, at Daniel and Gramercy Tavern). We got the same granola everyone else received and by the end of the meal I was exhausted. P.S., frozen coconut is not a winter dessert.

Very solid experience! While I wasn't particularly blown away by any of the dishes, it was all very delicious! We did the 5 course bar tasting and it was a lovely experience. Our waiter was very attentive, constantly checking on us and making sure we were comfortable. Having gone to a few Michelin star restaurants at this point, I think what stood out for me was it felt like a special experience. To some degree that's what we're looking for when dining at a place like EMP. I could see myself coming back in the future if an occasion calls for it.

Came for dinner to celebrate my birthday and had a great experience. The service was great, we felt really taken care of and definitely the Michelin star experience. We arrived at 5:30p for our 5:45p reservation awaited a few minutes before we were seated. We were first started off with bread and butter, which were both garlic flavored, I really enjoy the onion consume that was in the first course. I was super excited for the duck dish, which was cooked perfectly and better than I could've imagined. Overall, I really enjoyed the flavors, it felt that they were inspired by Asian influences. The vibe was classy and elegant which was perfect for celebrating special occasions and gave a reason to dress up. Definitely had a a great experience!

Went to 11MP for my birthday dinner this year. What a beautiful restaurant it is. Grand, lavish -- definitely makes you feel like you're in for a special experience. The tasting menu was good and the choices that I picked were also good, but to be honest, there was not a single dish that wowed me or stood out. The onion bread was phenomenal, but then everything after that just felt like it was a baseline good. I expect to be wowed by the food with a place like this. The service was incredible and the kitchen operated like a factory. Super good service and experience in that sense. Overall I was slightly disappointed with how high of expectations I had for the food here.

An excellent fine dining restaurant that stands out among a city with many excellent restaurants. My review/experience is from a long time ago. So they have gone through a renovation and a couple of menu/philosophy changes since, but wanted to put my review here mostly for posterity and as attestation of what a memorable dining experience it was. *Looks at notes* at the time of my visit, the restaurant had three Michelin stars. The service, which I have no doubt is at the highest standards today, was impeccable. The vibe - at least the time I went - was elegant, but not overly stuffy. I was in NYC visiting and really wanted to go to this restaurant. At the time, it was too late to get in or book a tasting menu, so an option at the time was being able to dine at the bar area on a more limited menu. Despite being such a long time ago, I remember ordering a roasted chicken with a nice white wine to go with it. At the time, it was probably the best chicken I've had at a restaurant to date. If I find myself back in NYC anytime soon, this is a restaurant I would make a priority to revisit.

Fantastic restaurant, although world renowned for its service, I find it to be slight cold and corporate like. Food was good, some amazing and some meh. It's a toss up between them and Per Se and I am probably still more geared towards Per Se imo. Still a great place to visit and try if you haven't already.

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Their attention to detail is off the charts. Each bite told its own story. The duck was cooked and flavored to perfection. Great night out with friends celebrating decades long friendships. The Manhattan cart is a must try Arthur Ave was our favorite. We were invited to the kitchen by Juan and by far the cleanest place I'd ever seen in all my dining days. The staff from front to back is the true definition of excellence. We will definitely return! Thank you EMP!

Thoroughly enjoyed the collaboration meal here between EMP & Central. The meal was short lived however two of the dishes were damn near life altering. Because I was dining solo I was seated at the bar but my seat awarded views of the dining room where the chefs were playing host to celebrities such as Tony hawk. The tofu dish along with the extreme altitude dish were easily the best dishes I've had in a year & are already being considered best dishes I've had this year albeit being two months into the year. The parting gift of granola was also crazy delicious so much so that I've already ordered my 2nd serving

Summary: Food was lackluster, but the service was exceptional. We finally decided to try Eleven Madison Park because they put poultry and seafood back on the menu. They now offer three courses (of 9 total, though the last course barely counts as a dish as it is a single chocolate pretzel) where you can choose between dishes: salad vs scallop, squash vs lobster and grilled mushrooms vs duck. We opted for the seafood or poultry for all three. We were disappointed by the food overall, with the exception of the duck and the collard green dumpling that came with the leek salad. Especially for the price, this just simply is not worth it. Each dish (except the dumpling and duck) were lacking in flavor. It seemed like each dish was just highlighting the one flavor of the featured ingredient of that dish eg the onion dish just tasted like onion with nothing else, the potato dish tasted like potato and nothing else etc. I imagine that is the point, but I do not seek out 3 Michelin star meals to taste flavors I have experienced before. Before going course by course, I will say how fantastic the service was. They have 20-25 staff for about 70 guests. They are extremely attentive and very well informed about the menu and restaurant itself (including art within the restaurant). You could not ask for better service. I was surprised to learn they had 4 sommeliers on staff that night. My only very minor complaint about the service was I told our waiter Brandon (who was absolutely wonderful) that we were very hungry so he should not feel he had to wait 15-20min between courses. The courses still came out 15-20min apart, but I imagine that is how the kitchen operates and I did not want to disrupt that. Onto the food. The first course was an onion bread (texture was almost similar to a croissant) served with onion broth and a vegan onion butter. The bread was tasty and decently sized. I was shocked the butter was vegan, they could have fooled me. That being said, this dish was way too strong an onion flavor to start the meal. It lingered for a few courses after and again, the only overpowering flavor of this dish was onion. The second course was the pickled leek salad with coriander and green chili served with a single collard green dumpling in a dish with soy sauce. The leek salad tasted only of leeks, I did not taste any coriander or chili. The dumpling however was exceptional. Bursting with flavor and the perfect texture. Collard greens have no business tasting that good. My only complaint was they served only one dumpling. I would recommend they serve at least 3 (4-6 would be better) as it's own course. The third course was scallop ceviche with grapefruit, golden beets and yuzu. The dish was light and refreshing (and a decent size) but again, the only flavor I detected was grapefruit. The fourth course was a cold soba noodle in broth with confit tomatoes, sesame seeds and thai basil. I am not the biggest fan of soba so take this with the grain of salt, but I found this to be a very underwhelming dish. It tasted only of floral tomatoes and nothing about this dish screamed michelin star. The fifth course was butter poached lobster, served with kale, squash and a lobster reduction. The lobster was cooked nicely yet once again the only flavor of this dish was lobster. The sixth course is one of their signature dishes, potato served in a volcano clay pot which they plate table side. The potato is baked, fried and smoked with cherry wood. They serve it with land caviar (tomburi seeds from the Japanese cyprus tree), mushroom powder, pomme puree and a lentil nori cream with a chive blossom. For all of those ingredients there should be many flavors and yet there was only one, potato. The land caviar looked like caviar but tasted nothing like it and did not have the texture of caviar as it was crunchy. The seventh course was the duck and coupled with the exceptional service, this dish alone is why I left a 4 star review instead of 3 stars. The duck lived up to the hype, honey lavender dry aged duck served with duck jus, plum jam and pickled radish. This dish was perfection. So many flavors and textures while still highlighting the duck itself. The top of the duck was crunchy with seasonings (reminded me a little of szechuan peppercorns) while the inside was moist and tender. The radish paired really nicely with the duck. I cannot say enough good things about this dish. Just wow, well done! There are two dessert courses, the first was pear sorbet over a crumble, a poached pear over what I think the server said was a white chocolate brioche and a soft pear jelly (thicker than a jelly with more structure). It was pretty tasty but the only flavor that came through was pear. The second dessert was a chocolate sesame pretzel and they serve it with their house made vermouth (they have an alcohol free option too). Dinner took 2.5hrs and we left feeling satiated not full. I did like that they send you home with granola though.

I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

Come to Little Ned for fantastic cocktails in an intimate setting, you won't be disappointed…read more The space is gorgeous, with bar and table seating on the main floor, as well as some standing tables next to the bar if you can't find a seat right away. There's also seating on the second floor, perfect for couples or small groups. I tried two of their cocktails when I went. The first was the Eastern Julep, a delicious twist on a classic. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The drinks were incredible and looked just as good as they tasted. Staff was on point, music was perfect, and the whole place had that upscale NYC energy without feeling pretentious. Definitely the kind of bar that makes you want to stay way longer than planned. Perfect for date night, late-night cocktails, or just pretending you're in a movie for a couple hours.

Since it was right next to where I was leaving my friends, I decided to see if I could get a seat at the bar without a reservation. I checked in with the host and she said they had room. So no rezzie needed that night when solo. The bar area is very dark and intimate. I only had time for one drink and decided on the one above. It was nicely balanced. I'm a whisky girl, especially rye, so I enjoyed sipping on this. A nice stop on the way to diner. I was here years ago, but that experience is a little hazy. Glad I was able to revisit. REVIEW #4002

Tusk Bar inside The Evelyn Hotel feels like stepping into a well-kept secret from another century…read more The space leans fully into that Prohibition-era Art Deco elegance, low lighting, polished brass, velvet everything. It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation. Overall, it's a great spot if you want elevated drinks in a space that feels transportive without being pretentious. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm in the mood for a refined, slightly cinematic night out in Flatiron.

We had an extra person when we checked in and they happily added her to the rez. We just had to wait about 15 mins which was fine. We were seated around 7:30pm. It was busy and bustling in the upstairs bar. We were seated at a spot resembling a coffee table(s) with chairs / ottomans surrounding it. I got the martini. It was a fun play with the green curry and saffron. This place is a little loud, so it is not easy to have a convo with your party. I am old so this probably wouldn't have been something I clocked in my younger years. They do have food which looks intriguing. Especially anything with truffles on it. If in the area, would definitely consider coming back for a quick drink and bite. REVIEW #4013
