Oh wow! I am surprised their rating is so high! I had a long wait for my (expensive) cold brew coffee--more pricey than Starbucks?? The was a TERRIBLE smell inside, probably from them roasting coffee beans. The bathroom was filthy, mold on the counter and trash on the floor. It looked like the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in a while. The floors inside Elevate coffee were also dirty, so we sat outside. We were trying to have a conversation but the place was infested with flies! We won't be back! read more

Below is my first review from a couple months back when I gave them one star. Apparently Elevate saw it and had it removed. Here is my original review. I love the atmosphere but the employees are terrible. They never smile and act like they really don't want to be there. The manager never seems to be working. He just hangs around with his wife and their friends in the seating area while the employees do the work. Also, they don't write your name on the cup or say anything when your drink is ready. They just set it up on the counter and walk off like you're supposed to know which drink is yours. Also, the counter where they set the drinks is facing somewhat away from the seating so you can't really see when they set drinks up there. Some people have complained that the bad attitude of the employees has something to do with the fact that the place is owned by a church and run by it's members. Who knows. But hopefully they read this and care enough to clean up their act. I like the atmosphere and the drinks but that's about it. Updated on 02/26/2013: I have gone to Elevate twice in the past few days. The managers were both working very hard, the girl who took my order wrote my name and my daughter's name on each of our cups. And when the drinks were ready they called out our names. All employees were very polite as well. As I originally said above, apparently Elevate did see my review. But besides flagging it for removal, they actually paid attention to what I said and they did something about it and improved their service 100%. read more

This is my second visit to Elevate. The first time I had an iced coffee and this time I had the no sugar added mocha frape. Both drinks were yummy and made quickly. The employees are very pleasant and it seems genuine too. I'll definitely be back as it's near my office, near my home, and the products and service were great! read more

Elevate is located in the NorTerra outdoor-shopping complex. It is nestled right outside of the Harkins. I frequent Elevate about once a week in the morning. My job location makes this a quick walk for a quality cup of coffee and more. They offer discounts for people that work close by. Sometimes your order may take awhile to come up. This can be troublesome if you have to get back to work. I give Elevate 4 stars because of the discounts offered and happy staff. read more

Second favorite coffee place! The setup is great. Very comfortable chairs. Great place to relax on a Sunday or have a meeting on Monday in their conference room. The only thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars is that it's a little on the slow side. read more

My go-to when I'm on the north, in love with their camel apple crepes and they have wonderful coffee! I also like how they are set up with different rooms allowing for a bit of privacy. I ordered a Snowflake latte this last time and I was really impressed. On my previous visit, not so much....I ordered the Snickerdoodle latte and I wasnt pleased. I think Elevate is a great coffee and its my go-to when I am in HV. My only 2 gripes are occasionally the Barista seems distracted and chatty. But I understand love knows no bounds when you are a young person but I really wish they would leave the flirting for breaktime. It's impossible for the Barista to make an effective drink and bat her eyelashes at the same time. She seems to be smitten with a dude that also works there. She isnt there all of the time so I can overlook it. My other complaint is the loudness on live music night. I don't think thats the fault of Elevate though, it's probably an issue with the performers. At any rate I will be back! I love Elevate! read more

So I'm a barista at a chain coffee shop. I know what a dirty chai is. What they gave me was NOT dirty. I regret my 18% tip cause my chai sucked completely.. Barista on bar was rude and made me feel like a nuisance for asking where the bathroom was and for a drink stopper. My fiance was waiting for my drink while I was in the restroom. Favorite coffee spot in the Valley. Lots of food/drink choices and the baristas are awesome. It's kinda tucked into the Norterra shopping plaza. It's next to the Harkins theatre and I usually go there before seeing a movie with friends. I have seen that they have a room that can be rented by groups (I've seen 12 step meetings in there which is cool). MUCH better than going to Starbucks and it's much less corporate feeling since it's family owned AND they have a superior product/s. read more

I had a reward for a FREE coffee that I was excited about and it expired TODAY (9/30) it said it in writing in a text and on the rewards program when I put my phone number in at the place but they wouldn't honor it for me. They said it was only for "National Coffee Day" which who even knows when these bs holidays are. I come here all the time and spend so much money here, whether it's studying here during the week or grabbing coffee and breakfast on the weekends. It's literally a $2 coffee that they could have given me to fix the problem but now on principle I'm just going to go to other coffee places. There's plenty of others that have better coffee and food anyway. read more

They need to fix the cash point where you pay with a credit card for when a customer wants the option to go back and change the tip amount if they made a mistake. When asked I was told sorry you can't go back to change it. Otherwise beverages are fair. read more

The coffees and teas are always made fresh and are delicious I like to change things up a bit and I've never been disappointed once.Elevate are always looking for new ways to make the customers happy. As I mentioned above Elevate is all about community they promote local talent with live music on Friday's and Saturday evenings. What I really like is the artwork that the local grade school children had created and visitors are encouraged to vote on their favorite pieces of artwork. If you need a place to meet a client or small group they have a meeting room for that purpose and can be closed off for privacy if needed. It's simply the best place to spend time with family and meet up with old and new friends. This place is awesome! :) Me and my best friend love to meet for coffee but most coffee houses are not so kid friendly (we both have children that aren't school aged yet). This place is great, they have shelves full of books, games and coloring activities to help keep kids entertained while us moms have a chance to spend some adult time together! ha ha :) Everything I've tried here has been wonderful, food and drinks and I love the store and it's staff. We visit Elevate one or more times a week. The atmosphere is cozy but spacious and the live music is good to great. It is nice to hear new talent! This place does crepes. I am currently sitting outside the coffee house while writing this review. This is the very first time I have been here, I actually found it on yelp while unable to sleep. I am a very avid coffee drinker (good coffee) and I can honestly say that just from the few sips I've enjoyed so far, this is very good coffee. The coffee house itself was a little crowded but with a product this good, that is to be expected. It was very clean and nice and open inside which I love. Don't get me wrong, I love hole-in-the wall coffee shops, but not when it's too cramped inside. Elevate has plenty of room to breath. The girl that took my order was very nice and met me with a friendly hello and a small conversation which was really nice. She was also quite easy on the eyes which is a plus for any coffee shop. My drink was ready before I knew it (unlike the 5-10min waits at Starbucks) all in all it was a great experience and I will be returning. Thanks for my drink! read more

I just LOVE this place! and EVERY time I visit. The location is a little weird to just stop in to on the way to work, etc since it is tucked in the back of a shopping center. BUT, the coffee is sooo delicious that it is worth it to leave a few extra minutes early. The drinks take a little longer to make but you can taste the quality! The coffee blows Starbucks out of the water and I was a Starbucks fanatic for a looooong time! The atmosphere here also adds to the 5 star rating. They have many differnet styles of seating from tables to work at to cozy couches to lounge in. The staff is extra friendly and seem to be having a great time working each and every time I have been there. I really enjoy an Iced Non-fat Latte with sugar-free White Chocolate, with an extra shot, of course! This combination is to die for, in my opinon. I really like their selection of sugar-free syrups rather than the typical hazelnut and caramel and vanilla which most basic coffee shops have. I am not even sure if the fresh cookies are baked there or not but you HAVE to try the snickerdoodle. You will have dreams about the extra moist sweetness! Trust me on that one! ;) read more

Their coffee is consistently good but their customer service is consistently awful. I have been here a number of times on different days because I enjoy their coffee and I was hoping the bad customer service was a fluke. It is not, I have not had a single good customer service experience here ever. Everything takes a really long time. If there is only one person in front of me in line it still takes them 10 minutes to order, I was told my food would be ready in 15 minutes but 45 minutes later my food finally made it to my table and it was lukewarm and overcooked, and no one that works there ever seems to be in a good mood. I kept coming back for the coffee but after today I don't think I will be returning. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I asked for my iced coffee to be put in a larger cup so that I could have extra ice. I was told that if I did that I would have to be charged for the larger size, which seems ridiculous to me considering I would not be getting a larger amount of coffee, simply more ice. I order my coffee this way at every place I've ever been to and this is the first time I've been told they would have to charge me more because I'm getting a bigger cup. If squeezing every extra penny out of their customers is that important to them then I will take my business elsewhere. The only reason I gave the two stars I did was because of the coffee is really good, just not good enough to deal with the service I get. read more

I absolutely love elevate. I go here to study most of the time but it's also a great hang out spot. They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights feature local singers/bands. All of the drinks are great although I usually go for the iced teas behind the cashiers. If you love better buzzed's "best drink ever", they can make something very similar to it- iced americano with white mocha powder. It's delicious! And lastly, their crepes are awesome. Nutella with strawberries and bananas- go big or go home I have yet to try a savory crepe but it's on my to do list! read more

We ordered 2 black teas first, but I changed my mind and wanted to try their coffee instead. I asked the lady if I could have a coffee instead of my tea and she gave me the look and told me you can get your refill as coffee. I asked if I could have my refill now as I just want the coffee. The gave me the tea and said when comeback for refill, you'll get a coffee!! Tea is more expensive than coffee anyways, and I don't understand this poor customer service gesture! $15 for 2 small hot teas and 2 mediocre breakfast sandwiches and you get this crappy customer service. This place was pretty decent. I think it is nice for the community, but there are several downs that give me reason for the 3 stars. This place is clean, but crammed. I went on a tuesday during the day at 1 pm and theywere very busy (good for them!) but, they took away some tables to put a bean roaster up front.... Which, doesnt seem very sanitary by the way and... I think it is pretty awkwardly placed. But, they did have a nice staff. One girl that served me gave me great answers and recommendations. I ended up getting a small iced drink with three espresso shots made as a chai.... i wanted to tip her but they took all my cash because it was 7 dollars for this little drink!! Thats so expensive.... I wanted to tip her but didnt have anythjng left over. It was already hard jutifying the purchase of a drink that expensive. So, I got the drink that she made to me and it was HOT. Thats right, in an iced cup, with super light ice and it was hot... however the espresso was smooth! I wanted to spend the day studying there but there werent any tables to sit at or outlets eve after hanging around on my phone for an hour. I know thats not their fault, but this experience was simply expensive and crowded. read more

Been to elevate numerous times and order standard hot mocha. Coffee is usually very good. Lunch time not so much. I looked and the beans used to grind for espresso were medium roast and my coffee had no depth and did not have espresso flavor. I have gotten their crepes before and were very good. Today I tried the ham and cheese breakfast croissant. Very disappointed. Croissant was burnt from the grill and also made it fall apart. But the worst was the very tough egg because it had been cooked like a crepe and was overdone. All the ham and cheese were folded up on one side of the sandwich like a crepe. Bad idea all around. I really wanted to sit down for lunch but the place was full of people. Half of them did not have food or a drink and were using the space for computer work. I understand this coffee house culture of hanging out and working but that will stop me from going back for lunch. My money will go elsewhere for numerous reasons. read more
