Cheaper than Starbucks and the food looked pretty good too. I knew I'd love the place when i first walked in and James Taylor was playing on the radio. Also liked all the children's artwork on display around the shop. A bit tough to find from the website, it's tucked to the right of the harkins movie theater and not directly accessible to the street. you have to park and walk past the movie theater or park behind the movie theater to get to the coffee shop. My iphone routed me 2 miles past the shop initially, but a quick friendly phone call got me right to the store :) enjoy this independent NON Starbucks coffee house! read more

I've been to Elevate a couple of times because I really like the abundance of tables for studying, but I don't think I can come back anymore. My lattes always seem to be loaded with syrup with hardly any espresso. And I'm not okay with paying $5+ for a cup full of sugar and milk. The service seems to be really lacking too. During my last visit, I stood patiently at the register as the girl continued to take a long sip of her water and finished her "important" text message after making direct eye contact with me. Awesome. If you just want a place to study, then I would avoid coming during the weekend because it gets pretty busy and loud with all the families rolling by after their movie. read more

Always a super experience at elevate. I love that they are a local company. They have a great meeting room available for a small fee, and they also (on certain nights) have some entertainment. They always are stocked up on product, and their coffee seems much fresher than some big chain stores. They have a HUGE selection of coffee and tea choices, they have alternatives for those lactose intolerant coffee drinkers too. Their breakfast/snack options are nice. A much more inviting and relaxing atmosphere with charging tables, several big longer chairs, and plenty of outdoor seating as well. read more

so stopped in this morning for a coffee and bagel. placed my order, little disappointed with the paper cup with my name on it instead of a real cup, sat down and waited. and then I waited and I waited some more, waited a little longer and decided to ask the cashier what happened to my order. The barista never called my name that was on the paper cup, in fact he seemed like a real douch never made eye contact or acknowledged my presence. Asked for a refund again the barista ignored the question from the cashier but another manager stepped up apologized refunded me my money and gave me a gift card. I left no coffee no bagel and gift card to come back? Do I want to go back after that experience? Great place to have a coffee and wait for your mom to pick you up from the theater if your 10 but not a place for an adult to enjoy a coffee in a real cup. Stop thinking this is a coffee house demand a real cup and friendly service not a bunch of pernicious children filling paper cups thinking they are doing you a favor by letting you drink there instant coffee! read more

I recently won there free coffee for a year and I can honestly say, this place is the best. They always make my drinks right. They always greet me by MY NAME (probably cause I'm in here all the time). Even when I perform at the open mics, they congratulate me and take the time out of there day to get to know me on a deep level. I stopped in here on my way back up to Flagstaff. My doggie needed a bathroom break and I desperately needed a coffee. I pulled in not knowing what to expect but was delighted with the outcome. I ordered a Java Chip frappe and a banana loaf, both of which were delicious. The staff wasn't overly friendly but not rude. And I always appreciate a place with a clean bathroom. read more

Their live music is a huge draw in the evenings and the outdoor space is a great place to people watch during the day when it's not too hot. I had high hopes walking into the place because of the ambiance! It's really well laid out and everything looks great. I was anxious to sample the product and they had my FAVORITE - an iced toddy! However after my fiancé and I paid $10+ for just two drinks I took my first sip in the car... Iced toddys are cold brewed and supposed to remove all the bitterness an acidity of the coffee... But this tasted like they ADDED bitterness! Truly awful and the worst I've ever had. A huge let down :( I give 2 stars purely based on the look and location of the place. read more

They now have fresh roasted coffee and the roaster knows what's up. He is creating new blends and truly knows good coffee. If you cities prior to the last 3 months, you might need to take another trip over, as the coffee is 100% better than the previous roaster. This place has the ability to make good coffee but they are very inconsistent. The first time I went, it wasn't crowded and I got a wonderful mocha that was delicious. I went back a week later and this time there was a long line. I never mind waiting for quality coffee but the problem was, it was horrible this time- they definitely rush through and don't take the time to continue quality service when they are busy. I decided to try one more time hoping the bad experience would be a one time thing. I went yesterday (a Sunday morning) and of course they were busy, which is totally fine. But both of the drinks I ordered were again absolutely terrible! So I will not be going back. If you do decide to go spend your hard earned money on a poorly made drink, be sure to go at off hours because one thing is for sure they do not know how to make good coffee drinks when they are busy. Stay at home and just make your own coffee- it will be better than wasting your money and being disappointed. read more

Love this place. I go to do my work during the day (never been there in the eve). Like others have said the seating is great, atmosphere, vibe--none of the "you're not cool enough to come in this coffee shop" here. I do miss Keenan, he was the BEST barista...... Elevate has the best espresso in town. Usually my Americanos have nice crema on top, although like one reviewer said, the counter help is uneven -- my husband asked for an Americano and asked them to be sure there was a lot of crema on the top, and the girl poured a whole bunch of milk in his cup!! He told her to make him another one (I would have choked it down and been upset). Delicious pastries also!! I've only eaten lunch there once and it was good too. Can you believe blueberry coleslaw?! The character breakfasts on Tuesday mornings are adorable -- although I did think Dora looked a little creepy this morning with her huge hands, and Elmo was suspiciously quiet.... read more
