We went here during a road trip. The place we originally wanted to try wasn't open yet, so we found this place. We were the first customers but it quickly filled up. We ordered shrimp ceviche, a burrito, and a variety of street tacos. The ceviche wasn't bad but I feel like it should have been much colder, considering it is supposed to be a raw dish and the weather was hot outside. The burrito we got was huge but filled with large slices of onion that my kid was not fond of. The street tacos were the best deal and probably also the best tasting. If we were to come back, it would definitely be for the street tacos. I wouldn't say the service was the best but it may be a family-owned place and she was the only server there. read more

My wife and I stopped here and had lunch yesterday. She had chicken taquitos which the chicken was very dry and tasteless. I had a combo plate of a chili relleno and a beef enchilada. Wow, I went here based on the 4.5 stars. Sorry I did. First of all I sat at my table for 10 minutes before any one acknowledged I was there. Apparently there were too many friends or family to be talking to instead of helping a customer. The salsa was ok, very salty. I was never asked about a refill. After I was given a menu, it was another 10 minutes before my order was taken. The place was not ver busy. Again, talking with friends or family with the cute baby. I finally get my meal. Eh, so-so. My check never made it to the table, I had to get up and go pay, again, she was too busy talking. By this time I was the only one in the restaurant. I will never be back. I could handle the crappy service if the food would have been great. It tasted like it was out of a jar or can. Disappointing visit. read more

The 99 cent tacos were a 10/10! We got 17 and an order of melt-in-your-mouth chicken super nachos for 4 adults and three kids, and we were all on the just-comfortable side of full. The waitress was so sweet and doted on the kids. The reviews brought us here to get take out. The place was busy and the staff seemed disorganized between taking orders and serving. The carnitas are the shredded type and were okay. A tad bit too much salt and they forgot the tortillas. Perhaps we caught the staff on a bad day or this was a replacement crew that was learning the ropes. The take out rice n beans are smaller portions than what I saw delivered to in house customers. Wife got a carne asada burrito that was 'alright'. It had waaaay too much watery lettuce and sour cream. Some of the food on the plates delivered to the seated patrons did look good however. We were driving back to the Bay Area and saw a sign for 99 cent tacos so decided to stop for a quick bite. Wow this place is great! I got three 99 cent tacos with grilled chicken, my sister got a vegetable burrito, and my fiancé got the slim tacos (lettuce cup tacos). All three dishes were delicious and so fresh. The wait staff is extremely friendly and even offered to grab our dog (who was waiting outside on the sidewalk) some cold water. We are definitely coming back the next time we drive through willows. read more

Food is great, but the service is unbelievably horrible. The young guy they have there always forgets things and doesn't know how to properly manage the floor and they never answer their phone. It shouldn't matter how busy they are, the phone and customers should always be attended to, anything less is just due to improper management skills. I had the shrimp in habanero sauce. They were down a server, so service was a bit slow, although very friendly and gracious. The food is cooked to order, so there's a bit of a wait. Gratis chips and salsa were excellent. The shrimp were delicious, as was the sauce, which brought tears of joy to my eyes, hot and complex. We pulled off the interstate after we found this place online while searching for Mexican food. Wow I'm so glad we did. Pretty sure their tortilla chips are homemade, their salsa had amazing flavor & I got a burrito with shrimp and it had so many very large shrimp in it I think it was the best burrito I've ever had. My boyfriend had the al pastor and it was also tasty. I had to ask for a side of sour cream and guac as I'm pretty sure they forgot to put it in but still delicious! The food is delicious! We had the shredded beef taquitos; which consists of 3 on a plate with sour cream & guacamole! Hot, crispy and so good. The hit bean dip was smooth & cheesy! Orgasm of the mouth. I am ashamed & humbled & also boasting that I've ordered here 3 times in the last week! I've tried most of their meats, which just melt in your mouth & are full of flavor. I am 99% satisfied with this business. The only one single thing I'd change is the Styrofoam to-go containers. Will go back many times. . . unless it becomes a New Years resolution to limit myself! Absolutely delicious food. I would give 5 stars but they are wholly unreliable in hours of operation despite a sign boasting they are open 7 days a week. I've been denied my 99 cent tacos on more than one occasion due to inconsistencies in business hours. Not cool. I needed my taco fix. When and if they are open, run do not walk to get fed.
