Visited April 19 2026... see my receipt as always. What a cute place with history! It is located in Willows CA. Loved to see the planes come in and out! Breakfast and service was great! I had scrambled eggs with crispy potatoes and extra crispy bacon AND Biscuits and gravy on the side. Delicious! I am only 135 pounds so I always have leftovers! The people were super friendly that were having breakfast! They have indoor and outside seating and doggy friendly! They also had beer and wine and mimosas. You can watch the planes come and go on their shaded patio! Easy on and off the freeway! Ps. Love it's history about Doolittle using this strip as a training ground in 1942 against Japan..the old folks filled me in today! If you like to feel at home and eating a home cooked meal, this is the place! We've come here a couple times now while passing through and have always enjoyed our meal and service. They have so many good options it's hard to choose. One time we even came twice on our trip to and from Redding. Tricia is so sweet and hospitable and seems to know everyone that comes into the cafe. read more

We had a Philly sandwich, a french dip and clam chowder. The clam chowder was more of a potato soup. It was good but not a typical clam chowder. It was great for dinner, reasonably priced and friendly service. The restaurant had a old western feel and could have used some attention to cleanliness but it was a fine experience. read more

I Landed at this non- tower airport, that's right next to the highway. Across the street from Walmart, and lucky to catch this cafe while it was still open. We first self- serve, and refueled our aircraft. Once we walked outside the gate, this cafe was walking distance. We were given a table right away. The waitress was very attentive, and gave us some time to look over the menu. Glad we shared a meal, because the Philly cheesesteak was enormous. The sweet potatoes fries was a bonus. I love the chocolate pie, because it reminded me of nation chocolate pies. read more

The portions were small but the prices don't match. There was residue on my coffee cup, so they need to improve their washing techniques. Gave it a shot, and now going back across the freeway. Had a sunrise skillet and it was just a small helping all the way around. Biscuits were buttery from the recipe. read more

Just the place to rehydrate and relax during a flight or drive up the valley. Friendly and good food.

Great waitresses but also exceptional shifts you need to try everything on the menu, but the one that sticks out is the Mexican omelette.

Love this spot. Once it was the cafe of an active runway. Now, peaceful gardens in the front and back are remnants of a quieter time. Good food and service. read more

Thank you Jody and all the other staff for making our visit so memorable. This local classic has been providing comfort food and great homemade pies for 60 years. I met Nancy when she was 80-something years old and that was memorable. My husband loved the pulled pork with onion crisps. I had the classic triple decker with turkey. Half came home with me. Both sandwiches included crisp fries. We both enjoyed a cold beer. Three of the couples dining had also flown in for lunch. Napa and Tracy were homemade for two couples. Big windows offer views of the runway. Comfortable booths and tables. This Willows landmark is definitely worth a visit. read more

Food We ordered breakfast food which is served all day long. We had veggie omelette and pancakes. The eggs were really fluffy and the omelette was flavorful. The pancakes were also fluffy and yummy. The hash browns were crispy on the outside but soft and moist in the inside. This place is a hidden gem. Service Although there was only one server, she was friendly and our orders were taken swiftly and served right away. She also checked on us a few times. She was not only attentive but her attention to detail is on point. Ambiance This place is your typical diner. Not fancy at all but clean. Lots of parking space. Small airports for some reason always have a great place to eat, even if you're not flying in and just driving. This airport cafe has some of the best breakfast around. I had a big omelet served with hash browns and toast. The coffee was good too. Service is prompt and no probs at all. Good place to stop if you're in the area. The food is super scrumptious. Good quick little place to grab something quick but the food quality and servings could have been better! Hash browns were frozen, the light brought out white bread after I asked for sourdough and forgot my eggs‍ But, since it was a holiday weekend i forgave, but for the price could have been better. We stopped in for lunch at Nancy's on our way home. It's a small cafe in Willows and it was very busy! We could tell right away that this was a well established local place with regulars who dined often. Many people knew each other. Homey. We had a friendly server who took our order a little slowly, but after we ordered food, it arrived very quickly. Everything was as ordered, and two out of three items were wonderful. Generous portions, hot food, presented nicely. As expected. Good value, too. We saw many patrons ordering pie and it looked amazing. They were baked on site and folks loved them. We wish we lived closer to Nancy's so we could return and try more dishes. Thanks for the lunch! read more

Food was fantastic. Waitresses were friendly. BUT... they have a bad cockroach infestation. A total of seven small brown roaches crawled out from under our table alone. I saw three around the bathroom area and several on the floor while walking back to my table from the bathroom. There were 5-6 dead ones on the way to the front door. People seemed oblivious to them. Without the cockroaches I would have given it 4 stars. Health department, please intervene! read more

Stopped by for a quick snack before hitting the road again. Ordered simply--just an order of fries and onion rings. Both were cooked til nicely crispy. Nice little diner decorated throughout with airplanes. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the server and gal at the register were hospitable and nice. Place is a hidden gem! I ordered the open face turkey sandwich with a side of mash and OMG!!!! The mashed potatoes were sooooo creamy and were infused with garlic!!! This meal took me straight to thanksgiving at my mamas house. See picture attached (plating was not the best but that doesn't matter. It's the taste that matters). I Highly recommend it. Staff and customer service was great!!! If you want a more hometown feel then I recommend you visit this location! This place is not fancy at all but very casual. Atmosphere, 5 stars. Lots of photos of the airport and planes from "back in the day". Get a window seat and look out to the field, enjoying a true "old school" diner. The experience alone is worth a stop. Service was very good, not much more to add here. Food was somewhat disappointing. I had the feta omelette which I suppose had some feta cheese with the spinach/caramelized onions/mushrooms. I had high hopes when ordering the dish which were not realized. The potatoes were very good though. Partner, something of a cinnamon roll french toast connoisseur, felt Nancy's was OK...which is actually not a bad grade. Coffee was typical diner coffee, not especially good or strong, but not brown water either. For vegetarians there are the usual breakfast selections; for lunch I did not see a single vege options, not even a gardenburger. Apart from a salad I don't thing there is a single vegan option. To start with, our server could not have been more pleasant and cheerful. I wish I could remember her name, she is there on Saturdays. Some in our party had split orders, instead of a bad attitude, she put the order on separate plates, very nice. The Joes Scramble was the best I've had. All our orders were very good. For a whole in the wall this place slaps! Maryanne was our server. She was so sweet and had wonderful service. Ask for her and skip 'the old geezer' someone else referred to in the reviews. We ordered the el grande burrito, the crispy chicken wrap, and the senior chicken fried steak. The burrito is huge! Super tasty and definitely filling. The chicken wrap was very good. A nice balance of hot flavorful chicken and cold veggies. And the senior chicken fried steak was great as well. The senior portion was still giant! Definitely skip the toast and order a biscuit! We stopped at Nancy's based on fellow Yelper's reviews. It's a very quaint dinner with awesome aviation memorabilia and decor creating a great ambiance which is an amazing compliment to being able to view small planes taking off and landing while sitting and enjoying breakfast in their outdoor patio. The staff was very super patient and friendly. We ordered some breakfast classics which included omelettes, hash browns, roasted potatoes, Belgian waffles, bacon, and scrambled eggs. Nothing fancy but really good breakfast comfort food with a fun atmosphere and great view. We are so glad we stopped and got to experience Nancy's. read more

If you are driving through to Chico or Oregon stop here for greasy spoon diner food ! Quirky and old with a big menu and the stories from the locals and the waitresses that work there are worth the trip alone. They have big servings and a senior and a lids menu. I took off one star as I ordered a side of biscuits and gravy . They forgot my gravy ; by the time I had one bite left they noticed and wanted to bring it -too late ! They were very busy and all the food coming out looked good . Seating is all g the side and in the main lobby as well as in the bank patio area. Bathrooms were very clean . Kitchen clean .
