The only place in Yuba City and surrounding areas for breakfast and lunch... wonderful food, great atmosphere, happy people working there and customers that are there daily... we are there 3 or 4 times a week or more... lots of times having to wait for a table because people love to come there. We have followed the manager from her last place that she worked.. I think Huckleberry's has been at this location for 6 years now... and it is amazing.. Stopped here on our way from Eagle Lake to Lodi. Late lunch. We were starving. We were greeted by a waitress with a wonderful, welcoming smile. Jasmine was so awesome! Very sweet and happy. We split the Classic Hamburger and fries. Really delicious. They split the burger for us and put it on two different plates. We appreciated that. I wish we had a Huckleberry's closer to where we live. Thank you for such a nice lunch and it was served quickly. read more

General Manager Julie runs a tight raft, with fun in the mix - the Jalloween pumpkin derby, with votes by clientele. Amber served us well. The food is Cafe Country. You won't find too many beignets in this corner of the world. Huckleberry's has them. We enjoyed Senior meals and were well fed for our 12 hour driveathon. read more

Didn't like the prices in our small town. The bigñets were terrible. They were soggy and greasy.

Today was our first visit and we had a great time. Our waitress (I feel so bad for not catching her name) was sweet, patient and attentive. We enjoyed visiting with her just as much as we enjoyed our food, which we did, a lot. We had the New Orleans skillet and the shrimp poboy sandwich. It was sooo much food. We brought home as much as we at there. The shrimp in the sandwich was seasoned perfectly, the bun was soft, fresh and the aioli sauce was a delicious touch. The skillet too was very well done and a great mix of flavors. With andouille sausage, mushrooms, shrimp and potatoes it was a different from the usual fair and topped with a scrumptious cajun sauce. The beignets are great too! I feel a return trip will be near in our future! read more

Looking for a new breakfast place we dropped in on monday afternoon to ck it out. Not too busy at this time. Seating and service were very timely and our waitress Rose was on the ball and knowledgeable We tried several items to hopefully find some gems: Mardi Gras Beignets: Got 3 beignets sitting on a mix of 3 different sweet type sauces (apple, maybe blueberry and a type of cream sauce). Ok except the beignets weren't fresh, made earlier and then reheated making them kinda rubbery. Disappointing... Toms Scramble: Wow this was a big portion that didn't scrimp on the food. Thick biscuit with two sausage patties on top, scrambled egg on top of them and then coated with country gravy. So much stuff on top of the biscuit made it a bit dry but for a big appetite this would be the way to go! Southern Style Fish and Chips: this was good! 4 perfectly done pieces of catfish with a nice coating, good tartar sauce and coleslaw. the "seasoned" fries were a bit too salty so next time going to omit the seasoning but worth getting again. Dixieland Steak Melt: my wife ordered this and liked it. Well made and tasty. Service was good, waitress knew about all the dishes and overall a nice experience. We will be back. read more

First time here with friends I haven't seen in a few months. The place is spacious, light, and extremely clean. Manager Julie greeted us at the door and gave us complementary beignets, to our surprise. Our server Kayla was so sweet and both her and Julie were super attentive. We wanted for nothing. Food was delicious, you could taste the homemade flavors. My friends loved their food as well. We were so comfortable we sat and talked for about 30min after our meal. I brought my parents here for my dad's 87th birthday today. He has Alzheimer's and struggles with some basic tasks. When I tell you how amazing the entire staff was here I am am not exaggerating. Every staff member that passed by stopped to tell him happy birthday or ask if we needed anything. I live in LA and come down often to take care of them and man...even in LA sometimes you don't get this type of hospitality. Thank you to our server Michael and the wonderful staff here. My dad cleaned his plate, didn't leave a crumb. Food was bomb.com and the service was even better. They sang happy birthday to him and even allowed me to add the special candles I brought. The manager on duty was the most annoying person in the restaurant. Her grandson came in during our visit and she pranced him around to all the employees and regular customers. She must have yelled out "I love you" to a this 5yr old boy 10 times. On our way to the cash register she called out "all hands on deck" to sing Happy Birthday to one of the waitresses while 3 customers waited at the counter to pay. Food was good, service was ok. Food is equivalent to many chain restaurants. Cute decor and it seems pretty clean. But you come here for the service. Period. Passing through town and decided to stop for breakfast. We were sat immediately and greeted by a staff member. Ordered the fried green tomatoes prior to ordering our meal. About 5 mins later we ordered our food ham, eggs and hash brown plate, skillet and stuffed huckleberry French toast. Food came out before our fried green tomatoes. Server was very welcoming when we were seated but during our dining experience was forgetful for a few things like my husbands fork to start eating his meal. Today at Huckleberry's, we experienced exceptionally friendly service from Holly. She is a very genuine and warm person, and made us feel right at home. We would go back just because the service was that good. My husband really enjoyed the chicken fried steak, and we were treated to their awesome beignets....yum!! This restaurant took the place of a local Black Bear Diner and seemed to shrink in size. The isles are very narrow and the booths are on the small size. The service was wonderful and the managers too, that's what the stars are for. But the food from this Huckleberry chain is mediocre and very salty. It may not be the cooks fault but everyone in my party said their food was on the over seasoned side. Service is great, always greeted with a smile. However the food is horrible. I ordered a skillet with Scrambled eggs, potato, veggies, and sausage. It was absolutely disgusting. Everything was so bland and so dry it was not enjoyable at all. When bringing it up to my server she was very apologetic and very sweet.. However when the manager came over she was very rude and short with me. She wanted to take my coffee off and make me pay for my meal, at this point my toast was late from coming out From the kitchen, I thought well maybe my toast can redeem my meal. When I got my toast it was absolutely soaked in butter I could literally ring it out. It was one of the worst meals I've had. And it's a hard job to mess up breakfast.
