It's the annial Hallowwen Pumpkin Contest for the employees.

This former Black Bear #11 franchise is reinvented Mississippi River style into Huckleberry's - as in Finn. General Manager Julie runs a tight raft, with fun in the mix - the Jalloween pumpkin derby, with votes by clientele. Amber served us well. The food is Cafe Country. You won't find too many beignets in this corner of the world. Huckleberry's has them. We enjoyed Senior meals and were well fed for our 12 hour driveathon.

The staff were very friendly and attentive! The food was average but I would probably try something different if I went again. The prices were also reasonable.

10 star service and food. Jazmin is amazing. She greets everyone at the door with a smile, walks you to your seat, takes your order and buses tables without missing a beat. She is amazing. The food is amazing as well. The chicken waffle stack is fire!!! Tasty, savory, tangy, moist chicken. Hands down best chicken and waffles I have had. Thank you for such a great experience. Will be stopping again when I drive through again

Friendly staff. Booths a little tight for 4 adults but doable. Good food. I have to come back and try more dishes. Plenty of parking.

Looking for a new breakfast place we dropped in on monday afternoon to ck it out. Not too busy at this time. Seating and service were very timely and our waitress Rose was on the ball and knowledgeable We tried several items to hopefully find some gems: Mardi Gras Beignets: Got 3 beignets sitting on a mix of 3 different sweet type sauces (apple, maybe blueberry and a type of cream sauce). Ok except the beignets weren't fresh, made earlier and then reheated making them kinda rubbery. Disappointing... Toms Scramble: Wow this was a big portion that didn't scrimp on the food. Thick biscuit with two sausage patties on top, scrambled egg on top of them and then coated with country gravy. So much stuff on top of the biscuit made it a bit dry but for a big appetite this would be the way to go! Southern Style Fish and Chips: this was good! 4 perfectly done pieces of catfish with a nice coating, good tartar sauce and coleslaw. the "seasoned" fries were a bit too salty so next time going to omit the seasoning but worth getting again. Dixieland Steak Melt: my wife ordered this and liked it. Well made and tasty. Service was good, waitress knew about all the dishes and overall a nice experience. We will be back.

First time here with friends I haven't seen in a few months. The place is spacious, light, and extremely clean. Manager Julie greeted us at the door and gave us complementary beignets, to our surprise. Our server Kayla was so sweet and both her and Julie were super attentive. We wanted for nothing. Food was delicious, you could taste the homemade flavors. My friends loved their food as well. We were so comfortable we sat and talked for about 30min after our meal. I will definitely return soon.

I brought my parents here for my dad's 87th birthday today. He has Alzheimer's and struggles with some basic tasks. When I tell you how amazing the entire staff was here I am am not exaggerating. Every staff member that passed by stopped to tell him happy birthday or ask if we needed anything. I live in LA and come down often to take care of them and man...even in LA sometimes you don't get this type of hospitality. Thank you to our server Michael and the wonderful staff here. My dad cleaned his plate, didn't leave a crumb. Food was bomb.com and the service was even better. They sang happy birthday to him and even allowed me to add the special candles I brought. He left with a smile and my heart warm. Thank you all.

I would definitely recommend giving them a try! it's the perfect place to bring the whole family.

Come for the food. Period. The homeade meals (and breakfast…read moredishes in particular) are amazing, they make every single egg dish in individual pans making sure they give you a quality meal. I ordered a vegetarian omlette with fruit, and received a huge plateful of food. Everything was fresh, especially the fruit which had a variety and not the usual sad melon. The omelet was stuffed with nicely cooked veggies and covered with more. My SO and brother also ordered omelets stuffed with various meats and crisp potatoes, also delicious. Coffee was average but plentiful. Alright why is this not a 5 star given the food is amazing? The service is terrible. I believe it "might" be the owner, but it is run by an angry, scowling rude woman who shouts orders to her staff. Ownership entitlement does not suit her well. I could not believe this person was even working, they were so disgruntled and gave the small restaurant a dark vibe. I truly felt bad for the young staff bustling around. I would eat here again because everything we ordered was delicious and the kitchen is clearly talented, but expect zero niceties or friendly banter. It definitely ruins the overall ambiance and I am not the first person to note this. Tip, order the potatoes they are season perfectly.

The host told us they didn't have any roses but came out with a little bouquet! For the dinner part, we were expecting a little more. The complimentary cornbread wasn't great in our opinions, but I'm sure others may like it. It's clearly homemade and comes with 3 different butters to put on top. We ordered the Salmon and Smashburger and they were both definitely over priced for what it tasted like. The salmon didn't have a lot of seasoning so it sort of tasted like something we'd give our cat. The sweet potato's on that dish were also not the best. The smashburger, in my opinion, would've tasted better if I got it from In N Out across the street. The entire burger just tasted like meat..no seasoning and there was maybe a drop of their aioli on the burger so all in all it just wasn't the best. I would've had a better experience at In N Out. We also ordered the Wagyu meatballs and never received them. We thought it was taking a minute to cook but all we got instead was the check..he didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert. We had wanted to check out their dessert menu and possibly get their strawberry shortcake but I guess that wasn't in the cards for us. We also ordered a cocktail and mocktail. My wife's mocktail (Kava Mule) was great! My cocktail (Horchata Mai Tai) was genuinely the strongest drink I've ever had. The flavor was nice if you could get past the amount of Bacardi they poured in there. Every drink I took felt like I was taking a shot. So with all that being said, unfortunately we won't be returning to Rancher's Daughter. Between the bland and expensive food, the forgotten about meatballs, the check rushed to our table, and the drinks..it's just the not the place for us.

We really had high hopes but were let down. We shared the complimentary corn bread, the arancini, and the hummus crudite. I had the turkey Thanksgiving dinner plate and my husband had the tri tip Thanksgiving plate. The starters were okay - cornbread was a very light texture and the butters that came with it weren't that good. The arancini was fine, just nothing too special but didn't come out very hot. The hummus didn't taste like much and came with a ton of bell peppers, Kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, and some pita. The turkey dinner was not good. The mashed potatoes and the turkey were okay. The root vegetable medley was not good and the stuffing was terrible, it was so mushy and weird. The gravy on the mashed potatoes already had a film over it like it had been sitting out for a while and was not hot at all. I also got an espresso martini that was not good. My husband got the horchata Mai tai - he liked it. My husband said the tri tip was okay but overall the plate was disappointing. They also mentioned on the phone that they would give us a complimentary dessert for my husband's birthday but never brought anything out. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a busy night and might give them another chance with their regular menu entrees but I don't have high hopes.
