I had the Vegan Joe scramble which consisted of beyond burger, mushrooms, spinackh and Daiya cheese. I had it with potatoes and toast, which came with vegan butter. The dish was 2 thumbs up. Cannot say enough about what a gem this cafe is. Upscale menu with something for anyones culinary likes. We had the Monte Cristo, which was superb, right down to the drizzle of rasberry sauce. The Hillbilly with deep-fried bacon (a fried chicken coating that sang "try me") was fabulous. Then "The Mess" was topped off with beautiful 1/2 Avocado, and that was so delish. Had a wonderful lunch at Nancy's Cafe today. My friend & I are from out of town & saw the Yelp high reviews of this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. My friend had their BLTA & I had their BBQ steak on a hoagie bun. We also had their sweet potato & regular fries which were really good. My husband and I stopped for breakfast going from Tahoe City back to Sonoma County and it will be our go to stopping choice for future trips. Good simple food done well. We enjoyed the Senior menu half breakfasts and I couldn't finish mine it was still more than I could eat. One egg, two slices of delicious bacon, country potatoes, toast, great apricot jam and an orange slice. My husband had mostly the same breakfast but with an English muffin and hash brown potatoes. He might make different choices next time but was very happy with the overall food and friendly service. The menu is extensive and tempting. If we only lived closer I'd be a regular. That ornate glass jar the heated syrup came in was a nice touch. Everything was tasty and pricey IMO. Friendly staff and one of the best Arnold Palmers I've had. We pulled into this non discript shopping center and saw the place. Went in and it was packed but we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. That's always a good sign. So cute inside with local painted art on the walls. The server was awesome, friendly and honest. I asked him which was better, the steak and eggs or the homemade corn beef and eggs and he said the corned beef. So that's what I ordered. My wife got the fish n chips and my daughter got the French toast. I also ordered a coke and it came in a huge mason jar. And it was STRONG. YES like we all know today's sodas are weak and almost like sugared up water. But Nancy's was that old school strong. The corned beef was AMAZING!!!!!!!
