Great place to stop during our road trip to California. The burgers were outstanding. We got there at opening and there was already people eating. Very popular place!

Exactly what it says... BURGERS and CREAM that are so, so good! Located in Auburn, it's an easy stop with plenty of parking right in front since it's in a larger commercial/retail area. They were busy, but the service was still very friendly. Pricing is reasonable for the quality and portions. It looks like an old-school burger joint where you can order at the window outside or inside with seating, plus there's an outdoor area to hang out with your quadruped friend. First-time visit order: The Guido was perfectamente with the pastrami combo. Just plan to work out later. The Western was equally good. Just a tiny tad greasy, but then again... what good burger isn't? We got the halfsies with fries and onion rings, and it was just as good! Not greasy at all, with thick fries and lightly seasoned onion rings (not too salty) to complement the burger. Tried their fountain items to taste (husband ate most of it, wish they had a shareable flight to try all the delicious twisty flavors!): * Dole Whip in a cone: Just okay * Banana Cream Pie: Oh my... yum! * Caramel Snickers Swirl: Equally good, and I'm not even a caramel fan. Ha! We'll definitely have to try more next time we take the drive up there!

We only came for their twistys which are from yo based thick shakes! We came around 5 pm and there was a line but they were well staffed and the line went quick! Their service was quick and friendly through the window and the decor was clean and inviting you can see that this is a hub for a lot of people to have their burgers and hang out As for the Twisties I got the banana cream pie twisty and oh my lord these were so dang good! Fresh banana light whip cream topping and the blended Froyo was not too sweet and had the perfect texture. My partner got the pb flavor which she enjoyed (but she liked mine better)

3 stars because honestly if I had to choose, I'd go to In N Out. I ordered the Spicy Johnny and it had a kick to it. Overall ingredients weren't very fresh and the burgers are pre frozen. The price of the burger is pretty good for what you get. We didn't order a milk shake but they looked good and everyone was getting them.

We arrived a little before noon on a Friday on our way back from the mountains. We only had one family in front of us at the time, but there shortly became a line. You can order outside through the windows or inside at the counter. They have both indoor and outdoor seating - the outdoor seating is covered and larger than inside. They also have 3 restrooms available outside, independent stalls, one with a changing table. We ordered two hamburgers - the boss and spicy one. Both were delicious! The burgers themselves were not dry at all and offered a lot of flavor. We shared a family fry, as every is sold a la cart. The kids for the chicken tenders meals and very much enjoyed it (which is definitely saying a lot when it comes to kids). We ended with a shake - the Campfire S'mores. It was delicious! It was a medium consistency so we used a spoon and then a straw later. A lot of my mix-in was either at the very top or the bottom, so I did mix it up a little myself. Definitely worth the stop!

The food here is amazing! The first time here, we didn't have much time but after looking at their menu, we landed on the Guido, which is a burger with a lot of pastrami on it, and a chocolate milkshake. I have had pastrami burgers at at least two dozen other places and this was my favorite so far. You can tell, they use high quality ingredients and that's especially important with pastrami. You can tell they take pride in their food, so this time when we were in auburn, we picked the Guido again, added half fries, half onion rings, and another chocolate shake. The rings and fries were perfect. It's hard to get onion rings that aren't greasy but neither the fries nor onion rings were. The burger to pastrami ratio was generous and perfect. The chocolate shake was a wonderful, old fashioned, real ice cream shake. I plan on visiting Burger & Cream every time I visit Auburn. If you haven't tried them yet, do yourself a favor and give them a try .

This eatery's prices are very reasonable and the food is really good quality. My fish sandwich was not overly flavorful which enabled me to truly enjoy the fish's crispy texture and the bun's softness. I also appreciated how flexible the restaurant was in preparing my milkshake as it combined both chocolate and mint together. I would've liked if the milkshake's ice-cream was a more organic or a locally-made source rather than using the Ghirardelli brand. However, this is a family-owned business therefore unlike the larger chains of "Super Duper Burgers" or "The Melt," improvising its dairy ice-cream with such standards is probably not financially feasible to implement.

Burger and Cream takes me back to a place I've only seen in movies - a burger and ice cream spot where locals come after Friday night football. The burgers are decent. I prefer their New Fashion - no frills burger with lettuce, tomato, red onions, and cheese. I tried the Boss and it was too heavy for me. Their ice cream never disappoints. Definitely recommend for the food and atmosphere. 10/10.

Well, we came back! It was so delicious last time we had to do it again. It was so good. We got child size cheeseburgers for the fur babies at home.

OMG my favorite burger joint! We stopped in on a Sunday during their lunch hour. This family owned restaurant, originally named Foster's Freeze we all know and love, opened in 1986! We ordered The Halfsie, The Guido with Tillamook Cheddar instead of swiss, The Pounder and a 12 oz Caramel Snickers Swirl. The Halfsie is a family size mix of the best onion rings and fries I've ever had! It's served with ketchup and amazing ranch! Hubby loved his swirl! The Guido was filled with mouthwatering pastrami, a meaty 100% angus chuck patty, grilled onions, melty cheese & fresh produce! Hubby loved The pounder, it's one meaty burger topped with triple 100% angus chuck patties and fresh produce! Baby loved everything as well she split with us! Great staff, restrooms and plenty of seating! 5/5 stars all the way!! I want to visit their 2nd location in Grass Valley that opened in 2020! We'll be back soon to devour the rest of the menu!! SYOY! :-) *Song Credit: Cook the Food by AlexGuz

Foods always good. Crispy Spicy Chicken Sandwich, hot, fresh, crunchy, not overly spicy, lettuce, tomato mayo, good . Mrs had the Jr cheese burger, nice Patty, cooked perfectly, hot & messy, easy five napkins. Split the 1/2&1/2 orings & fries. Excellent, beer battered type fries. Medium chocolate shake, all good.

Burger & Cream focuses on fresh, quality ingredients. And sure enough, the flavors are there. Plus the pricing is comparable to fast food but way better quality. I am totally down with all of that. The burger patties are made of a blend of chuck short rib and brisket. The New Fashion burger is 1/3 pound $8. Juicy patty with lots of rich beef flavor. Fresh fixins. The hot dog is 1/4 pound split grilled served on a brioche bun $7.50. The burger and hot dog buns are grilled giving it a slightly caramelized and nutty flavor. The beef taco is ground angus served on a grilled flour tortilla $3.50. For the taco, the cheese was a slice of American. Due to the heat of the ground beef, it melts a bit creating a beautiful rippled, slightly bubbled up slice. They even offer a a dairy free, vegan friendly Dole Whip. LI and vegan folks, don't have to miss out on the soft serve action. The indoor dining room seating is abundant, but in close proximity to each other. Very cozy seating arrangement. They also have a covered outdoor patio with more elbow room than the indoor seating.

Perfect stop to fuel up after a hike! The store is so clean, modern, and spacious. There's both indoor and outdoor seating available. I love that there's two places to order. The outside window is dedicated to to-go orders and the registers inside are for dining orders. Workers are kind and work quickly, very efficient! Prices are very reasonable. I got the Patty Melt with lettuce and tomatoes and well as a small fry for $13.50. No up charge for the add on of vegetables. The patty was 1/3 pound. Very filling! Everything made to order, so the food was warm and the cheese was oozing. The fries are very lightly salted and crispy. I'd rate the meal a 8.2/10. It hardly slowed down for the few hours I was there. However, the wait for the food wasn't too bad around 15-30 minutes. The ice cream orders were quick, ready in seconds, at most 2 minutes. The ice cream portions are insane! They even have DOLE WHIP! The swirls are perfect and HUGE. Perfect place to stop by for a refreshing treat during these hot summer days. Absolutely enjoyed everything this spot had to offer! If you're ever nearby, definitely visit for a fatty burger or delicious sweet treat.

Yes, this is a seasonal item as we source the juice from a local farm. We usually carry it from late October through November.

The online ordering system was not working - it balked at payment - so I phoned them and ordered that way. On the day, we got a pile of plastic bags each labeled with our name, and inside mine I found my hot sandwich, still pretty warm, inside a foil wrapper. Mine was the Italian melt, lots of different kinds of meat plus provolone and a little onion and pepperocini and a mildly spicy marinara sauce lightly dabbed in. It was not too thick but nicely dense, as well as delicious, with a well chosen mix of ingredients. I didn't want too much bread, so I ordered it on marble rye, and that turned out to be fairly thin, not overwhelming, and also strongly and delightfully flavored. I'm not ordinarily big on deli sandwiches - I don't think they have much else - but this was a major find.

There is a bathroom that you must ask for a key to. Once 1:30 rolled around, I was excited to try my sandwich given the great reviews, then came 1:40, then 1:50, and I did not have my sandwich until around 1:55. I worked in a sandwich shop for 3 years, so I know sometimes a wait is unavoidable and can recall dealing with rude customers, so I did not approach the staff regarding the wait. They were trying their best to accommodate the orders. However-- 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches, I think, is a little excessive. In the end, my sandwiches were spectacular, genuinely well crafted, and met (maybe even surpassed) my expectations. When I got back to my car, I noticed the worker (owner?) gave me a full sandwich despite me ordering half. I wasn't sure if this was purposeful as means of saying "our bad", or just a mistake, but I will say it left me in better spirits. If you have some extra time to kill, with friends etc., this is a must try. However, if you are on ANY sort of time restriction, I would not recommend stopping here. I'm sure this is not always the case, but as a stop on a long drive, I did not consider an extra 45 minutes for a sandwich. If the owners are reading this, I truly mean well and hope you know a long wait is a sign of success. Growth is inevitable!

We went with one of their popular sandwiches to try. The pastrami was PACKED in there! The crisp veggies and tart kraut perfectly balanced out the saltiness of pastrami. The green herb sauce, though, is this sandwich's wet dream. It added creaminess, a refreshing palette, and a bit of citrus flavor to amp up this sando tenfold! Warren & Co. Herb Crackers 5/5* Locally made! I checked the labels just to make sure they were local before purchasing. These were unexpectedly so crisp and savory. The lightness of the crackers tasted like you'd get them fresh out of the oven. They were perfectly dusted with flaky salt, rosemary and other aromatic herbs. I got these for charcuterie, but they were so good stand alone that I had them as a straight snack. They had a hefty display case of drinks out back and a small freezer with local goodies like a pot pie. We grabbed some kombucha to wash everything down. I noticed some desserts by the cashier also, and locally made bodycare items, but didn't want to browse any longer and keep them beyond their closing hours. This place is such a local gem. Side note - they prefer being small and local, and asked us not to post their menu on Yelp, since it rotates and people have come to get old sandos that weren't on the menu anymore.
