    Veggie Eggs Benedict (already started)

All the above! Especially the Food & Service. Casey was an amazing server, with lots of helpful suggestions to navigate the vast brunch menu. So many choices... We asked for share plates, but instead she had the meals split perfectly for us to satisfy us peculiar orderers! Cannot wait to travel thru Auburn and visit Sweetpea's again with the family

Great spot with a big menu Loved their naming of their menu items Unfortunate they ran out of the corn beef. Forget what my order was called I think it was their huevos rancheros Would definitely come again to try their other menu items

Totally forgot to nab some photos of our masterpieces! This place looks unassuming from the outside but they blew us out of the water. Large portions and friendly staff what more could you need! Did see a large room for big parties.

We stoped here on our road trip for breakfast. The food was ok. The service was great and the food ok.

We were passing through on a road trip and decided to stop here for breakfast.  We ordered the Trucker's Special, which included two eggs, our choice of meat (link sausage, patty sausage, bacon, ham, or hamburger patty, country potatoes, hash browns, or fresh seasonal fruit along with toast or buttermilk pancakes.  We ordered two over easy eggs, four link sausages, and hash browns.  The hash browns were cooked to perfection.  It was a great breakfast!

When I visit Auburn, CA, Sweetpea's is a must stop for breakfast or lunch. I have never had bad service here. The Family feel makes for a very relaxed eating experience. The food here is delicious and hearty. If you are hungry, you are going to get big portions here. I love looking at the menu and seeing items named after long time customers that they created. This restaurant is a must when you are in Auburn, CA

Another great experience today. Great service and the food was SO good. The fruit was really fresh

I didn't finish cause it was just that bad

Serve was fine, too warm in restaurants on a nice cool day. Had the chicken fried steak and eggs. eggs were too runny and the chicken fried steak taste like frozen food heated up. The toast was the best part of my meal. Go to Denny's before this place. $18 for my plate. Taco Tree is better

Mini breakfast #4: 1 egg with country potatoes and sourdough toast

This is our new favorite breakfast place!! Great service! Food is down-home cooking!! Atmosphere can be a little loud only because everyone is enjoying the experience--not a negative. Great place!!

Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment, although the service was excellent. I ordered the biscuits and gravy (thankfully, just the small portion). The gravy tasted as though it was made primarily with flour, butter, and water, lacking the rich, creamy flavor I expect from good country gravy. The sausage didn't really taste like sausage and was broken into tiny, almost crumb-like pieces that added very little flavor or texture. My breakfast companion also ordered the biscuits and gravy and barely ate it. She added a blueberry pancake, but it contained very few blueberries--just a handful inside and a couple on top. The pancake itself tasted more like it came from a commercial mix than from scratch. The maple syrup also had an unusual flavor that neither of us enjoyed. On the positive side, the hot spicy cinnamon tea was absolutely delicious, and our server was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. I always hate leaving a negative review because I know restaurants work hard. I hope this was simply an off day in the kitchen, but based on our experience, the food did not live up to its reputation.

Well, no disappointment here! It was on a Thursday morning- people were there eating, more then kept coming since it's almost lunch time. The server gal is super sweet, prompt, and came back plenty of times asking if everything is alright! I had the hot Reuben sandwich with a cup of their clam chowder while my husband had the fish and chops and a bowl of clam chowder. LOVE the soup! Nice balance of creaminess, taste and enough clams! Filling and satisfying on its own. The sandwich was also tasty- enough that I had to bring back half to take home. Husbands fish and chip which was on their special of the day was a bit disappointing- he said wasn't as tasty as he hoped and could have been a better serving size. Overall, nice place to have breakfast or brunch; cute place to chow down since liking at everyone's else's food- serving size it quite hefty! Yay! Definitely coming back more often!

I don't know what was going on back there, but the servers barely made rounds to our table, didn't even ask us if we wanted coffee, and when we asked one server to check on our food. All she said was "it would be out soon" and we heard that for the next 10 minutes each time we asked. The restaurant itself seemed pretty clean although the bathrooms definitely could use renovation. You can just tell that either they have so much business they don't care much about service or they're just not quite sure how to dial everything in to balance the front of house and kitchen delivery. If I have any specific suggestions to offer: tell your customers upfront about your kitchen wait times. Nobody wants to wait an hour for breakfast food. Make sure to follow up with your customers and ask them if they want anything else to drink besides water it seems like a really easy way to make extra money.

They are famous due to its iconic appearances in pop culture, primarily the classic movie American Graffiti (immortalizing its 1950s drive-in vibe) and the 1970s TV show Alice (creating the "Kiss my grits" catchphrase), cementing its status as a nostalgic American landmark with multiple locations and theme park presence. Lots of memorabilia and they even have small jukeboxes on each table. Stepping into the Original Mel's was like stepping back in time. The menu has lots of choices, from full breakfast items to complete dinners. I opted for breakfast. I order the Wolfman (shoutout to Wolfman Jack, American disc jockey). My breakfast consisted of two eggs (cooked to order), hash browns, two pancakes, warm syrup, two strips of bacon, slice of breakfast ham and one sausage patty. Breakfast was good but my only complaint would be that my pancakes were rubbery (basically I needed a knife to cut it). I would eat here again. Our service was on point and efficient. Restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Plenty of parking. The ambiance was casual and it was a bit loud.
