This is the new Casa Ramos! It is located next to Wongs Chinese food on Humboldt Ave in Willows CA. They have new owners and new location. It does not have the ambiance of the old place which is unfortunate. I wish them well! read more

We love this place. We were driving to Chico for Mexican food but no more this is the best! Don't think old Casa Romas its not the same as the one that was here before. Really nice people too. It's a win win. Thanks to our son for recommending it to us. read more

Ok, let's start with the location, it's not at this address, it's at 458 Humboldt. The grand margarita was really good. Loved the extra touch of the gran mariner float! The food was just ok. We go to a lot of Mexican restaurants and felt this place was lacking. The chicken mole was lukewarm and tasted like it was a chicken breast topped with mole sauce instead of a slow cooked well developed meal. The steak burrito was mostly beans and rice. At this price point, I was expecting more and with all the 4 and 5 stars out there, I will not be back, read more

just had the worst experience of my life at this place. it took me an hour to get my food. I'm not exaggerating I looked at the clock . I ordered first and got my food last. after informing them I was on a time crunch. definitely not thrilled I drove an hour and 45 minutes to see my grandma on her birthday only to not even be able to eat my food. also server was kinda rude. very understaffed. only 3 people on a Saturday....seriously... read more

The food was alright and the service was acceptable. Some dishes had good flavor, others were a little bland. Overall an average visit.

This place continues to be my dinner stop on every trip from central Oregon to Los Angeles a few times a year. The food is always great, great margarita and super friendly staff. The willows location just moved up the road, not quite the same ambiance but I totally understand why they would leave that huge building in the current horrible economy. I always choose my hotel and stop for the night based on a casa Ramos nearby. read more

The food was great and the salsa too! BUT, they were very unfriendly and never offered refills of salsa or drink...

Beautiful new location. Fast friendly service. And very delicious. Authentic Mexican food in my opinion. read more

Good food, welcoming staff! Always friendly and kind even with the kids. Asada is my favorite but I have personally never had a bad meal.

Whitewashed Mexican food I miss the old bar! Food is ok but nice people the food is a 5

Always good food whenever I come to their place, and friendly service, location is easy to reach

Food: bland and pricey. I never had to add salt to my Mexican food ever but in this case I did. I mean these plates were $30 each. For what? It wasn't worth it. Service: friendly. Attentive cause it wasn't busy. Vibes: meh run down. Definitely old and out of style. read more

Aquí he comido la carne asada más deliciosa y vaya que he probado una infinidad de carnes

Words of advice when looking to order a margarita from this restaurant....request ALAN to make them. I am a margarita person and I must say he did an amazing job! Not only that but he made them with my request tequila of Cabo Wabo. Not only did i have the blackberry margarita but I also had the cucumber jalapeño one also with Cabo Wabo. For dinner I had the Los Dos Burrito where the chile Colorado was on point and super tender. I recommend the Chile Colorado over the Chile verde just cause that my preference. But I did request an extra side of the red sauce cause I wanted it extra smothered. The place was cute and I was able to comfortably enjoy watching Monday night football and the World Series! I will probably visit again when passing through! Thank you the friendly and sweet staff and good food and especially excellent drinks!!! read more

We had a long day on the road and needed to just relax and enjoy a good Mexican dinner. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted and seated in a comfortable & quiet booth. Our server Arlene, immediately came over and took our drink order. She's mastered the perfect balance of warm & friendly while always observing a professional decorum at all times. Our beverages came out promptly. We ordered the chicken enchilada plate and the chimichanga plate, which also came out promptly. Everything about the food was an 11 on a scale of 1-10. The service was equally excellent. All staff were very attentive that we enjoyed our meal. If you like a little more "action", they also have a fully stocked bar at the other end of the restaurant. If you don't stop in for either a quick bite or a full blown meal, you've just possibly missed out on having the Best Mexican food that you'll ever experience! read more

So glad came here! Had carne asada with lettuce cups (because I mowed through a chip basket solo!) It was delicious. Man next to me is raving about the margaritas. Super service. Great atmosphere! And I'm watching hoops in the bar section. Doesn't disappoint this place! 5 stars!!! read more

What a great spot. On a road trip, staying near by and stopped for dinner. Servers were friendly, skinny margarita was yummy, beer was cold. The 2 choice combo with chicken chimichanga had very nice shredded chicken breast and shredded beef enchilada was flavorful. Chile relleno was fresh and well prepared with generous roasted chile, the right amount of cheese, and perfect batter and sauce. We both rounded things out with refried beans and cilantro rice. Chips and salsa were included. read more

After traveling in the car for 9 hours with two pets, we were absolutely ready for a relaxing sit down Mexican dinner. Casa Ramos did not disappoint. Our server Alan was perhaps the friendliest server we've encountered without being overly hover-y. The entire staff was very welcoming to our dog, and they brought him a huge bowl of fresh water which was much appreciated in the warm weather. The drinks were delicious- margaritas and micheladas, oh my! We had a wonderful experience and will certainly be back when traveling through next summer. read more

Just a fun, friendly place for a sizable margarita and good mexican food. Ambiance is what you would want after a trackday and a margarita.

I've come to the near by Thunderhill race track 6 or 8 times now & Willows is the place to stay. As a result, I've tried 5 places in here. I have to say Casa Ramos is the nicest. The food is better that decent and the staff is friendly & attentive. It also seems to be the place where people gather. read more

Casa Ramos Mexican Restaurant - Mexican Pizza - Mexican Near Me - Willows, California

Quite possibly the worst Mexican food I've ever had in California. The mole chicken was as if it was created by someone who had never had Mexican food before. Syrupy, pale purple-brown, closer to teriyaki than mole. Seriously, take it off the menu if this is what you're going to serve. An embarrassment. Big portions of bad food. Cheerful but slow service. One star for the salsa which was decent. Avoid this place. read more

Starting from the outside of the restaurant, walking in, the landscape is upscale and gorgeous. The place is pretty big but we sat down at the bar for a meal. The margaritas are huge - a little on the sweet side but good. You can get in a few bicep curls just lifting the glass and getting a drink. I had the carnitas which is my quality assurance check on any Mexican restaurant. I can only say it might have been the most unusual carnitas I've ever had. The carnitas were served on a bed of onions with a scallion as a topping. I've never seen that in my life. I dug in with an open mind but the onion treatment didn't really work and I like onions. The carnitas had a weird gravy thing going on so while it wasn't terrible, it wasn't great. My wife had the chicken taquitos appetizer. Again, it was just okay. The taquitos needed a little more crisp, a tighter roll and more seasoning. The service was very good at the bar and again, the restaurant was very attractive inside. Perhaps with a few more tweaks, this restaurant could be the best in town. read more

Went here the night before a hunt, looking for above average food with cold adult beverages. Our expectations were exceeded. Very good Mexican good, cold beer and margaritas, as well as friendly / attentive service. If you're looking for a sit down bite in willows I would reccomend. I had the Carne Asada plate, would reccomend that dish in particular. read more

1 year ago I visited Casa Ramos and had a pleasant experience, as stated in my first review. Sadly my second visit (1 year later) was pretty ordinary. The fishbowl margaritas are still good but the food fell well was short of the mark. I ordered the fajita salad; I envisaged a Mexican version of a Cobb salad but what I was served, tasted like teriyaki beef jerky over iceberg lettuce with a blue/gray hard boiled egg, it was very poor. If I go again Ill stick with the combo plate. read more

After a few years of changes, finally Casa Ramos in Willows is back on track. We will order again.

Food was not good, service was not the best. Wet burrito was overpriced ($18.50 + tax) I could of gone to subway and it would of been better. read more

Stopped in here for lunch on a Friday after checking into our motel room. We were seated immediately with menus to follow. Complimentary chips and salsa were decent. Our server wasn't as friendly as most but he got the job done. A few drinks went empty and we had to ask for refills. There weren't any complaints about the food. On par with your average Mexican cuisine. The rice was cooked fluffy and had a decent flavor. My slow cooked verde pork dish was good, meat was really tender. Prices were average. Another at our table ordered one of their burritos and it was huge. Overall, not a bad place to stop and grab a bite. Ask the server for recommendations depending on your appetite as some plates are small and others are likely way too big for one person unless you have a huge gas tank :) read more

Friend and I on our way to visit family near Sacramento decided we wanted Mexican. Near Willows the car needed gas so we figured we would combine the stop. Found Casa Ramos and decided to give it a chance. So glad we did. Got the Plata Mexicana to share. Got extra beans and rice. Wow! Excellent food. One of the best Chile rellenos ever. More than enough food for the two of us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

The food was good. The service was great. But the restaurant was so hot inside, you didn't want to eat. You just wanted to go home and eat it tomorrow. They had a small portable evaporated cooler sitting on a bar stool. Ridiculous! read more

Walked in for dinner couldn't find anybody to seat us and then when we did find them, we felt like we were bothering them. My wife had the chicken nachos and I had chicken street tacos. Both plates or bland to no taste at all! You would be better off going to Taco Bell and saving yourself $30 bucks. Take a look at the atrium room it appears there is a ton of dead flies on the window shades. There's also a Casa Romo in Redding I can't believe it's the same owners because their food much better. read more

I ordered take out and had to throw my food away when I got home because it had little to no chicken in my tacos and the shells were soggy and stale. I understand if I was late to pick up my food, and the food sat out, but I waited 10 minutes in the lobby for my food and it should have been fresh. also one of the tacos had about one bite of chicken in it, On top of that there was a big group in the back of the restaurant dining in, when the sign outside says "take out only because of Covid-19. Wasn't even worth it to go back and try to get a new plate. I'll never go here again! read more
