I was full but had to take the leftovers home. Too good to waste! We are driving from California to Seattle but will seriously stop again in Willows just to eat at La Casita again!

So is the menu, which is fairly brief and basic. I ordered a combo plate, which was the standard Mexican restaurant combo plate with rice, beans, and a little salad. So far, so ordinary, but the food was just fantastically good, all of it, starting with the addictively tasty salsa which came with the chips (slightly stale, the only negative factor). Some of the best refried beans, in particular, that I've had. The combo I ordered had a beef taco and a tamale (which was chicken), both also really good. I was so impressed that I came back on my next drive through the area and had one of the several shrimp entrees. Not as spectacular as the combo, it was still really good. The shrimp was in a garlic-onion sauce which was full of well-cooked pieces of both. The shrimp were thoroughly cooked.

They didn't give me any salsa, but I also didn't ask for any, and honestly, the meat with fresh lemon juice stood on its own. I would absolutely come back here again, and if it continues to be this good, it could become a regular experience. The only drawback was some teenagers sitting in front of the taco truck were having a *very* loud and sexually explicit conversation, to the degree that they should have been asked to leave, but were not. I had scrambled eggs with crispy potatoes and extra crispy bacon AND Biscuits and gravy on the side. Delicious! I am only 135 pounds so I always have leftovers! The people were super friendly that were having breakfast! They have indoor and outside seating and doggy friendly! They also had beer and wine and mimosas. You can watch the planes come and go on their shaded patio! Easy on and off the freeway! Ps. Love it's history about Doolittle using this strip as a training ground in 1942 against Japan..the old folks filled me in today! Lastly..thank you Dominique for being an awesome waitress...hard working and sweet! Great experience!

The omelete was overflowing with bacon and ham. The biscuits and gravy were tasty! I am only about 130 pounds so most of this was to go and share it with my boyfriend. They have a good menu with alot of specials. Casual and comfortable atmosphere! They also have beer and wine and other drinks. I wanted to get a banana creme pie to go but they were out of them. They also have a cute gift shop centering around bears. Sandra waited on me and she was delightful! Friendly and hard working staff! Bring your appetite because the portions are huge! I ordered the burger with avocado and bacon that came with waffle fries along with the chicken satay appetizer. The burger was cooked nicely and it tasted good. I had them cook the bacon alittle more since I like it alittle crispy. Bun was not warm but still tasted fresh. The chicken satay is always my "go to" at some of my favorite Thai restaurants. The peanut sauce is always included in the meal. The chicken was cooked nicely and was very tasty. I was shocked to see on my bill that they charged me an extra 2.50 for the peanut sauce that is supposed to be included in the price. Thus not 5 stars. The owner offered to refund me the 2.50 ( i declined) but I think it's important to have full transparency on what you are assuming is included per the menu description. The wait staff ( including the bartender) were very pleasant and professional. The inside is clean and bathroom was spotless. They have a full bar and have regular seating and bar seating. They also have happy hour on certain days. I would probably eat here again in the future if I am driving through on highway 5.
