*This review is not about the massage therapists, it is about the policies and practices of the office staff* I have been going to this location on and off for years (I found a massage therapist at the Greenlake location who was amazing but he moved out of state), anyway, I have since moved to Lynnwood knowing that it's a bit out of the and tried calling this location first as it would be a little easier to get to. After being in a car accident less than 2 weeks ago and seeing my PCP and having a prescription and a referral sent over I called Sunday evening to schedule an appointment for Tuesday (keep in mind this is already after I gave the kid all of the car insurance PIP/claim information). He tells me that he doesn't know when they can verify my PIP coverage as aparently the one girl who is able/allowed to make those calls might not be in until December 1st. So calling to verify on Monday wasn't an option but if I wanted to schedule a regular massage I could. (Actually I can't because I have to go through my car insurance). Another girl at the front desk called earlier this evening to say that they did manage to verify my coverage, however it was too late, I already had managed earlier in the day to call a place close to my work, schedule an appointment the same day, and all they asked was that I bring in my claim information to the appointment. Wow, that was easy! Thank you Edmonds Wellness Clinic! I have worked in a doctors office and currently work for a health insurance company, so for a place that should be putting the care of their patients first to pretty much say "sorry you're in pain but you'll have to wait because only a few people are allowed/able to verify your benefits" is inexcusable. The reason the girl gave me for why they do it that way is to avoid getting different answers, well guess what, I spent 5 yrs calling insurance providers to verify benefits and there are a few standard questions you have to ask in order to get the information you need and we had a one page standardized sheet that told you what information was needed so that any one in the office (even the Dr) could do it if need be. The Greenlake location isn't much better, when I first went there they couldn't verify my benefits beforehand, so I paid out of pocket and then it took them months to reimburse me (and probably only because I stayed on top of it) , the only reason I kept coming back was because of the massage therapist that used to be there. read more

I had a great experience with my masseuse, Alex really knows what he is doing. But I had called in to schedule an appointment for an hour, because I had just received a Christmas present of a one hour gift card to Elements. But I was accidentally scheduled for an hour and a half massage and was not aware of it. I had confirmed with the person on the phone my gift card was for an hour and my appointment was for an hour. Then I get down with my massage an hour and a half later, I didn't realise the time during the massage because Alex was doing a great job. But the receptionists afterwards did not even apologize for the company's mistake or offer any help. They just stared me down and told me how much extra it would be because I had the longer appointment. I was very disappointed in that, I didn't want a free massage or to get away with anything but I felt a little swindled by how it was handled. Went to Rebecca once and she was amazing. Thought I would go again and called wanting to inquire about insurance acceptance. The guy at the front desk didn't seem to care about my questions, just rushing me through the process and asked me three times in a row, "Your name, your name, your name" when I wasn't even finished talking. We have coming here for about four years on a monthly basis. Always well received and organization from reception. Overall we have had great therapists. Turnover happens so we have to find new therapists. They track our likes/dislikes well and offer good alternates. Zach is one of their stars. He is very thorough, always asking how the pressure is, explaining his plan and giving advice on topics like stretching. Their monthly plan is a good value and they have good promotions for members. read more

I have to start by saying that I was leary of a "strip mall" business but I read the reviews here and agree, it is very quiet, esthetically pleasing and overall calming. If you are looking for a "spa massage" experience this is not the place. I simply want a good massage at reasonable rates--this is your place. I would only give them "2 stars" on their rating system of massage therapists. It is not consistent. I have tried a total of 4 therapists and the pressure levels are not consistent. I had one women who they listed as a level 4 deep pressure and I have never had a massage so "light and strokey" even when I asked for more pressure! That wastes my time and money. They need to do a better job assessing the pressure levels of their therapists. However, I have found MY therapist and I am hesitant to even mention his name because I am afraid others will find out how good he is and the he will be booked up like some of the other really good therapists there. However, after 4 great massages I owe it to him. Jonathon is one of THE best deep pressure therapist I have seen in over 20 years of having massages. He would get 6 stars if their were a category. He was a professional cyclists and knows the back and legs (I have an injury in these areas that I need worked.) He is awesome. I would also give them 5 stars on value. I joined the membership and on average receive about two 80 minute massage per month and with their specials included in each months memebership I pay about $100 for 80 minutes including tip. That is well below what I have paid in the past. So adding it all up it comes down to 4 stars leaning towards 5 stars! read more

Loved it! Clean, easy atmosphere, and friendly staff that listens. I often get massages and felt like I was a good judge of massages for chronic injury. I had a really great experience with Dinah, she found all of my problem areas and made a huge difference in 80 minutes. Will be making many more appointments based on great pricing and quality. I was fortunate enough to get a huge gift certificate to this place, so I was able to put together a sampler of massages from most of the staff. Each was fantastic. Now, on yelp, I'm way more familiar with writing food reviews, but I think the same approach works for service-oriented businesses. The atmosphere is just right here- not pretentious like many massage places, but simple with (most importantly) comfy chairs. The massage rooms are quiet and equally unpretentious- no assault of perfumes or aromatics. Very clean. Each hour massage was at least 55 minutes, if not more. I never once felt shortchanged on the time. Massage quality varies by practitioner, but again, all were excellent. Though I didn't pay out of pocket, the prices seemed totally reasonble. If my regular therapists are not available, they will recommend others with similar style. I have used many member specials, like the early bird or try new therapist for only $39 for 55 min session. Elizabeth at the front desk made my experience the best. I stopped in to make an appointment for my partner as a Christmas present. The lobby was packed full of people buying gift cards, but I wanted to plan out a more personal gift. Elizabeth got through everyone, the phone was ringing off the hook but she chose to put her attention to who was standing in front of her which was very professional. Her cooperation and time spent on me is what deserves 5 stars. I appreciate her help and can't wait until my partner receives his service... Went in for the groupon deal. Felt slightly awkward upon walking in. I felt like the girls kind of just stared at me until I told them who I was and all that. Autumn was a fabulous masseuse. I was paired with Mandy and she was kind, talktative (but not so much that it was taking me out of the massage), and informative! The next massage I ever have will definitely be with Mandy again. To be honest, i'm not much of a massage person. I'm very sensitive when it comes to people giving me massages it usually leaves me in pain but Jeff was amazing. I told him that it was my first real massage ever so he walked me through it and he made me feel comfortable and knew how to hit the spot! I came in with a lot of pain in my back and left feeling very happy :) i'll definitely be back because of him. Everyone in the reception area was very friendly and i hope to be back soon. This is one of the best massage places in Seattle. Everyone is super friendly and the atmosphere is so calm and relaxing. Today I got a massage from Tiffany, she's a level 3+, which means she's a firmer pressure. I walked in stiff as a board and then walked out looser than ever. The hot packs she placed on my back felt great and I could feel it soothing my muscles. All in all I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be going there again. They offer so many different add-ons and I cant wait to try some, such as cupping and Himalayan Salt stones. :) read more

I'm a wellness plan customer, have been going since about February 2013. I work in construction and have stress, strain, and repetitive motion issues. Staff is friendly and efficient and all of the 4 therapists I have had massages from were great. The scheduling is great, it's very easy and they are prompt with email conformations and call reminders. My favorite therapist is Chelsea. I give her a basic idea of what issue I'm having and she intuitively finds the problem. I recently moved up to a 110 min membership because she has been so beneficial. read more

I have received massages around North Seattle, Elements is by far my favorite place to go! Unlike other chains around the area (cough cough Massage Envy), it's centered around therapeutic massage and healing for the person. The therapists are real therapists and I haven't had a bad massage yet! I also didn't get pressured into their Wellness Program. They gave me the information, let me take it home to think about, with no pushing at all! I reviewed the program and found it straight forward with no gimmicks or fine print. Plus a massage once a month for $60 is hard to come by in Seattle! I'm most likely going to be a customer of Elements in North Seattle for quite some time! The staff were friendly and I liked my masseuse who gave a great massage. My only gripe was that the walls were paper thin. There was a stomping/banging sound occurring outside of my room during the entirely of my massage and the lady next door to me sneezed three of the loudest sneezes I've ever heard in my life. Thus, the experience was not as relaxing as it could have been. I think something that might be helpful to combat this issue would be to place people in every other room to help with the sound and possibly stagger appointments during busy times. read more

I myself am a very, very sarcastic person, and the fact that Janelle took to my sarcasm straight away, and fully understood it was a huge plus in my book! She was so, so caring and I felt that she genuinely took an interest in my life, my every day stresses and problems, and more importantly, the areas on my body that needed the most attention. Molly (nice name!) was excellent as well!! The front desk ladies are ALWAYS professional, and very nice. The place smells soooo good and the overall feel is just wonderful. Let me start by saying that I'm super picky about my massages and I've had a ton of them from many different places/people. I like a deep tissue sports-type massage to ease my tight achy muscles, so I'm not into the relaxing massage thing. I went here for the first time last week and saw Broehe. She was wonderful. She asked me great questions before we got started, and went directly to my trouble spots. She even applied a nice hot pad on my gluts and back, and a warm towel around my neck later.. nice added touches I felt! She didn't mess around, and got right in there, asking me a few times about pressure, and even talking me through some breathing techniques, but not without asking me first. She didn't just start talking to me like some therapists do. I don't want to chat during my massage unless I initiate it. I would go back to see Broehe in a hot second. She's intuitive and clearly is passionate about her work. I love the great advice/tips too! I also want to mention how incredibly friendly and accommodating the front desk people are. All around it was a pleasant surprise that such an affordable place so close to home would provide such amazing services! I'll be back!! read more

I still think that sometimes the organization piece can fall through the cracks just a little bit. I just manage my expectations, double check, and reconfirm if I have a concern. For instance, even though I cancelled my membership I had a hunch that I would still be charged. I was charged, I called, and they reversed it. That said, there is a cozy and polite feel. No one has ever been rude to me. And, while one massage wasn't great, all of the other ones have been amazing. I have never had another situation where my appointment was botched again. So, looks like there have been some improvements. I like the place and it is my go to for massages. Sadly, my favorite masseuse is leaving. So I guess we'll see what I think once I find a new person. read more

where to begin... when i called to schedule an appointment, I mentioned that I wanted someone to do deep tissue/trigger point massage. so they put me with Beth who is supposedly a Level 4 therapist (the higher the level, the harder the pressure and 4 is the highest level). She started off by dousing me with a bunch of massage oil/lotion which just made her forearms and thumbs slip right off my knots. Instead of applying constant pressure to work out the trigger points, she just kept running her thumbs over my knots like a speed bump, which didn't feel too good. Then, in the middle of the massage, without any fair warning, she blew her nose right in front of me!!!! Not even an "excuse me" or anything...her response right after she blew her nose was, "those allergies." AND...immediately after blowing her nose, she just continued on with the massage, so I'm pretty sure she didn't wash her hands or use any hand sanitizer. Lastly, afterwards, I go back up to the front desk to check out, and as I was paying, the girl at the front desk asked me if I wanted to leave the therapist a tip. It wasn't just me either...they were asking everyone after their massages if they wanted to leave tips for the therapist. Now, I understand they are rendering services, but I have been in the restuarant most of my life, and the last thing any one should do in customer service is ask for a tip!!!! Needless to say, I felt obligated to give a tip when asked, I didn't want to seem like a big jerk in front of other clients there and say "NO, she was terrible!" I understand all therapists are different, so if I ever do go back, I would definitely not have Beth again, and please DO NOT ASK ME TO LEAVE A TIP FOR ANYONE! I will if they deserve it... read more

Not only with her skill, which is amazing, but with her very pleasant personality. Jamie knows how to resolve any issue I'm having. I recommend you book your next massage with her. I got a yelp deal from here. My husband and i went in. We both had really great massages, 80 minute ones, and felt so relaxed it was hard to walk afterwards. They give you water bottles at the end which is awesome, and the front desk person is really nice and it's a really relaxing environment. Melissa was the one who gave me a massage and she was a little too much of a chatty kathy for me when I'm going in for a relaxing massage, I don't want to talk about work. But other than that she was great. My only thing that I didn't like was when i found out their prices. I thought I'd gotten a deal but it's really just their first time buyer's price. So they "deal" that I thought I was needing to rush in for, wasn't really anything special at all. And once you've been there, the prices get too high for the average working person. I won a massage from these guys at a recent Yelp elite event. I was so stoked and the prices so reasonable that I decided to sign up the hubby for a massage at the same time. I wasn't expecting much. I practiced massage therapy for 12 years so I am pretty picky and rarely have an experience I want to write home about. However, both of us came out of our massages looking and feeling like we had 100 pounds lifted from our shoulders. We even signed up for the monthly prepaid massage club. That says a lot since we are cheap! I ended up having to quit my job last week and so that means I have been looking at things to cut in the budget. This was so life changing that I may have to get rid of t.p. and light bulbs instead of this. It's not a treat, but a necessity! read more

I started coming here this summer. The front desk staff is quick and courteous. I was lucky enough to have French for my initial massage and I haven't strayed since! She is professional and thorough. I love that there isn't unnecessary chatting so that I can just relax and be. I was a member of Massage Envy Ballinger/Edmonds years ago and I have to say Elements is a step up in service and professionalism. I also tried Massage Heights in Ballard before coming here and this is much nicer and less chaotic. Perhaps because Elements is smaller, it feels more personalized and not so "fast food".
