Came here for a couple massage with my girl as a birthday present for her. She's had massages before. I haven't. Ever. I guess I was the last male to have one because every time I mentioned it. That it was my first time. Everyone looked at me kinda funny and said "really"? Not in a bad way though. I was feeling kinda trepidatious. Because I didn't know what to expect. So my girl kept talking me through it. Which helped. We get there. Elements is next door to a Starbucks. In a typical suburban strip mall. But don't let that put you off. When we walked in we were greeted by Ashley where we filled out some basic paperwork. The inside of the lobby was very calming and zen-like. "Zen" music pumping through. Comfy seats and a couch. Water available. Greeted by our therapists, Candace and Desiree, who were very nice and knowledgeable. Discussed what issues I had and what she was going to do. Everything from any injuries or problem areas. Me? Pretty much my lower back, left knee and left foot. My girl focused on upper body; shoulders , traps and back. Got undressed to my comfort level (underwear on) and she got down to business. Started on my stomach where Desiree went to town on my feet and calves. Excellent pressure. Since I was a newbie she used medium pressure to all of my areas. Perfect. She then worked her magic on my lower and upper back. My shoulders, arms and hands. She then had me turn over and worked in my upper pectoral area. I guess I had a lot of tension in my traps so she manipulated my arms with pressure on a specific part of my pec to release the tension in my traps. Hurt at first then Boom! Tension released!!! Holy wow!!! She worked on the right side first and then my left. I've never felt anything like that before. It was amazing!!!! I am now a believer in the power of a good massage. First I thought it was just a luxury thing to do but after today I really feel the health benefits from a good, sorry, GREAT massage. I am beyond satisfied! So I've been a member with Elements Massage for over a year and get massages regularly. I usually attend a specific location because it's walking distance but they happened to be booked the day I wanted (I scheduled last minute). I ended up going to the desert ridge location because they had the availability for the service I needed (Himalayan salt rocks) and I am so pleasantly surprised. Although I arrived a little too close to the scheduled session (I didn't know I had to fill out paper work as I am a member) Beth was so kind and patient with me. She walked me through the paperwork so I can get it done in time. She was so sweet! Jennifer is who did my massage and she was not only excited that I was a new client of hers, but that she was able to use the Himalayan Salt stones as they're her favorite. And WOW I've never had such an experience with salt stones than I did with Jennifer. I was getting upset with myself for dozing up, hoping I didn't miss the much of the experience. I haven't had a massage since before Covid. I prefer a very deep deep tissue massage the deeper the better. I contacted Elements at Desert Ridge and the Manager Angela suggested two different people for what I was looking for. I have had hundreds of massages but never found a massage therapist that could go deep enough or target my knots on my small frame. Barbara was so fantastic even Amazing and I think she might be the best massage therapist I have ever had. Even better than the hotel spa's I went to in the past. Elements makes it easy to schedule and check in- the location is clean & neat. My therapist Zaida was fantastic- she understood what I wanted and did a great job executing. Jennifer is the one and only massage therapist that has been able to not only been able to get me to relax within 90 minutes, but also does a terrific overall job with deep tissue massage that focuses on the areas that i need worked on. I had a massage December 8 at elements. My massage therapist name was Barbara. It was hands-down the best massage I've ever had. I've been getting massage all my adult life so that says a lot. She really checks in to see how you're feeling if the pressure is right and what else she could be doing that you would like. Unfortunately, I don't live in Phoenix. JW is the man! Especially if you need deep tissue. By far the best deep tissue massage I've ever had. I've never been able to find someone who does enough pressure but he did it no problem. Not to mention, he really listened to what I asked for which I've had trouble with at other places. He also took some time at the end to explain how to stretch to alleviate pain which I really appreciated. Location was clean and quiet. Front desk was great as well especially Leonie who was so nice and helpful. They even got me in same day which I was so grateful for because I've been in so much pain. I have been going monthly for a massage the last 4 months with Jennifer and she is great! She always makes sure I'm comfortable and asks me if the right amount of pressure is ok. Hands down the best therapist I've seen in years. Becky gives a wonderful Swedish and can adapt to my needs if I need more or less pressure depending on my needs that day. Five customers entered the reception area for massages as three customers were leaving their sessions while I was waiting for my massage therapist. Her timely coordination with the therapists and management is first class. Beth handled everyone with style and grace! I was greeted warmly at the door by my therapist, Becky, for my two hour massage. We discussed focus areas and overall general massage for my wellness program. The full body massage and focused areas were all worked on during the session. Becky's use of moderate to deep tissue pressure was perfect for the focused areas.
