    Pork chop meal

We have been here at LaGuardia Plaza Hotel since Tuesday, September 10, 2024. We have had daily meals at Elements Lounge. The service is superior, and the food is immaculate, and the presentations exceeded our expectations!!!! In our group, we've had the Buffalo and Bbq wings, Philly Steak and Cheese, burgers, Cobb salad, and pork chop meals. No one has been disappointed!!!! (We are from Mississippi, and we know good food!) The friendliness of the staff makes it all the better. Our friend, Sharona, has been a loyal customer at the barand they have fixed her up every time with exactly what she ordered, and she raves about the quality of the alcoholic drinks! The ambiance of the establishment is everything!

Hit the easy button and ate dinner at hotel bar. Big menu with a lot of options from apps to steak and seafood. Good service, my NY strip with fries was a little over cooked but not bad. Steak came with a house salad, mixed vegetables and I subbed fries instead of mashed. As airport hotel bars go it exceeded expectations.

    Very good burger

I stay here at the hotel on a regular basis. The food options close by are limited unless you get delivery. The prices are on the higher end (soup is almost 11 dollars) and not everything on the menu is good. The food that I have found to be really good is their buffalo wings and the cheeseburger. My husband really likes their French onion soup and their nachos are decent. The only thing I've had that isn't good is the pizzas and the steak is ok definitely not worth 35 dollars.

Nice place but a bit overpriced in my opinion. Drinks were good but not a ton of different selections.

The outdoor section was covered well enough for the colder weather. However, it did start raining hard, so we moved inside after enjoying the view. I had the guava highball and then the Open Sesame cocktail. The highball was very strong, but I didn't really get a lot of the guava flavor. The Open Sesame was so sugary and delicious, though! The perfect blend of sweet coconut and slightly umami sesame seeds flavor. The popcorn chicken was my favorite bar snack of the night. The gyoza was ok, and the quesadilla was a little sweet, though I couldn't figure out where the sweetness came from. The manager kept coming around to sell us shots, so there was no lack of attention in service lol. The music was a tad loud for it not being a lounge where you could move around freely and dance.

Things got worse when two of us went to the bathroom and the bartender started aggressively pounding on the door yelling that it was "one person at a time." Later, two drinks were accidentally spilled at our table and instead of handling it like a normal bartender, he loudly yelled across the entire bar that we had to "apologize to the whole bar," then proceeded to shout at us and kick us out. He even took a full drink away from one of my friends while everyone in the bar stared because of the scene he created. It was incredibly unprofessional and honestly one of the rudest interactions I've had at a bar in NYC. If this is how they treat customers over an accidental spill, I would avoid this place

It's super cute with a nice speak easy, intimate, lounge-y vibe. We met the owner who was so welcoming and friendly- he said the space is meant to encourage conversion with the music being lower and the setting being more intimate, which we loved and felt. Their happy hour is great (4-8pm I believe?), with $10 drinks that are well made and pretty strong. We will be back!

We have been going there for years and it has always delivered a good time. The vibe is fun, the music is generally solid, and there is a dance floor to make use of if you are in the mood. Fair warning though -- the speakers are close and the floor can get crowded, so be mindful of where you position yourself or you will be hearing ringing for days afterward. I have actually started considering bringing earplugs on future visits to protect my hearing. It is that kind of loud. As for drinks, I cannot speak to those since I do not drink alcohol. What I can tell you is that the water was perfectly hydrating. The DJ does the usual DJ things -- occasionally cuts a song too early or drops something you are not feeling -- but overall the music selection works and keeps the energy up. I would not come here for a quiet meal. The environment is not built for that. But as a place to gather with friends, celebrate something, and have a genuinely good time, it is a solid local gem.

Came here for happy hour. They had mandated that you order minimum of 8 wings per flavor. My party couldnt finish the wings so we asked to take it to go. First server tells us a Togo box is $3, then he ran off, the second server tells us oh you can't take these to go, then also walks off. Why do you, as the restaurant, get to dictate if I take my food to go so that I don't waste it? This is also in addition to: ranch, blue cheese, celery, which usually comes wings, are ALL $1 additional a piece. Management need to get their shit together before this "what used to be" place become a "well that's not there no more".

Super flavorful without being too salty -- very comforting and satisfying. Wagyu Beef Burger The brioche bun topped with crispy onion rings already makes it look impressive. The beef patty was juicy and thick without being dry, and the truffle fries on the side were addicting. Definitely one of those dishes you casually finish while chatting. Chilean Sea Bass This one was disappointing. The fish itself didn't have much flavor, and the presentation felt messy compared to the other dishes. Probably not something I'd recommend ordering. Chocolate Lava Cake Served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream -- classic warm-and-cold combo. Taste-wise it was pretty standard American-style dessert, but the caramel drizzle and presentation made it very photogenic. Overall, Tavern 157 is more about the atmosphere and experience than mind-blowing food. Good spot for birthdays, date nights, or celebrations in Queens, especially if you want somewhere with a little more ambiance and presentation. Menu selection is a bit limited though, so I'm not sure it's the kind of place I'd keep going back to regularly.

There are plenty of seats but during the weekends they fill up quickly. I would just recommend coming in earlier. Really enjoyed their strawberry matcha latte and banana latte. The matcha had a strong creamy flavor that complimented the strawberry flavor very well. Judging from the color, it was definitely a decent quality matcha. The hot banana latte was not too sweet and really impressed me with the taste. It wasn't artificial and was very comforting on a colder day. I also tried the oolong tea cheesecake. The texture was moist and the perfect density for a cheesecake. While the tea flavor was light, I would get it again.
