Our 50 year old forced air heating system for our house was giving signs of giving up, so I found Element through Yelp. Cesar from Element came out promptly, inspected our system and gave us an evaluation, options and estimates on the spot. It was the holiday season and so to secure a date we agreed on a contract and paid a deposit on the spot. I was a little nervous about making such a large commitment without alternate bids. But I haven't the slightest regret. Per schedule, the asbestos removal was performed one day, and the next day the entire heating system was removed and a new one installed - in one day! Cesar and a small army of workers descended first thing in the morning. Work proceeded at a furious pace, but was clearly very well organized and executed. The floors and landscaping of our house were well protected during the process and the crew did a very solid job of cleaning up after themselves. Cesar had missed on his inspection that one stretch of duct would require a metal duct, and the installation of the one new vent proved unexpectedly labor intensive, but Cesar dealt with both without hesitation. And when they were done Cesar walked us through what we needed to know about the system, its features and its operation. All in all, a remarkable quality of service and excellent value for the price - worth every penny. read more

We called around too many different places trying to get a quote then finally came across Element! They were fantastic. I briefly gave em a description of some problems, and they scheduled an appt the very next day to come down to do inspection. He gave me some options, like good, better, best and so we finally went with it and had everything new and installed a few days after! Thank You Element for making our house a home again! read more

Finally Gilbert cleaned heating and airconditioning system for free, thanks for his service. I highly recommend Element Home Solutions for home insulation, duct replacement read more

Full 5 stars. I called them for the quote to replace my old furnace with a new high efficiency one. The tech showed up on time the same day, presented full quote lower about $1,500 than close competitor. After short research I called Element Home Solutions and complained that in the quote there was no cleaning of the ducts, which we were talking about with the tech during his visit. The owner send a separate team to provide that service a day before the scheduled replacement with no additional charge. The techs who installed the furnace worked fast and efficiently, completed the complicated job in 5 hours (as the new furnace was much smaller and additional piping was required for vent and condensation output), insulating all attached ducts. We tested the work - all worked fine. Great service. read more

I am very satisfied with the work performed by Element Home Solutions. The subject 1920's dwelling was void of insulation. Carlos conducted the estimate professionally, answered my questions and provided opinions. Manuel and Freddy were crew liaisons and responded promptly to my queries during the job. They laid and hung plastic to contain dust and vacuumed thoroughly afterwards. They vacuumed roof gravel from the attic, which had fallen from the removal of a tar and gravel roof decades ago. They sanitized and sealed air gaps prior to installing the attic insulation. Crawlspace air gaps were sealed and the insulation installed with straps to hold it in place, which provide much better support than wire rods. The job took two days and they left the area clean of debris. I will use them for another property in the future. read more

Eduardo and his crew are super. We've had them do two jobs and both times they worked quickly and professionally. The finished job shows their pride in their work and attention to detail. We will use them again if the need arises. read more

Highly recommend EHS. They did a really nice job in the attic - new insulation, new air ducts, cleaned up rat droppings, rat-proofed. My furnace guy and the pest control guy both commented on what a great job they did. Visit #1 was in February 2019. Unfortunately, I ended up having more rat activity in May so I called EHS again - Ernest was great to work with and very responsive. Juan came back and did more rat-proofing - on the outside as well. This second visit was under warranty so luckily I did not have to spend any additional money. Hopefully I won't need to call them back a third time (i.e. the rats don't find yet another way to get in). Anyway, prior to hiring EHS, I had two other attic companies come out for an initial inspection. But it was my interaction with Ernest that made me go with EHS - he was professional, to the point, honest. read more

The basic work of removing old insulation and installing new was done as expected. There was disappointment in the cleaning up after as the crew doing so at the end of a long day was young with no eye to detail leaving some work for me to do the next day. Also, the flyer says there would be rodent proofing as part of the service and that was NOT done. read more

May 2, 2019: Element Solutions (Ernest) came to provide an inspection of my attic. Ernest called in advance of arriving, and arrived early within the quoted timeframe. Ernest performed the inspection and while I did not require any of their primary services, he made several relevant observations and continued maintenance recommendations. Ernest was very professional and pleasant. I felt very comfortable with Ernest, and appreciated the information he provided. I experienced and felt the intregity of this company through Ernest. Thank you. read more

I called Element Home Solutions as one of the companies to place a bid to replace my HVAC. They arrived promptly, knew exactly what needed to be done, and quickly turned around a competitive bid. They scheduled the work at a time that was convenient for me, showed up on time and were very professional. They completed the work quickly and professionally and I was extremely pleased with the end result. I will definitely use them for my HVAC needs in the future. read more

We called EHS for one issue, and it turned out that there were several others that needed to be addressed. While this was not happy news, the team did a very thorough job of documenting the issues, and explaining the solutions. We were shown photos of the problems, and the estimator/project manager gave us a detailed plan for solving them. The energy efficiency of our home has been improved, and we will probably get several more years out of our furnace now. The follow up regarding inspections, paperwork, etc. was also excellent. The are not cheap, but they do a very professional job, and they do not cut corners. We are very pleased with the work that was done. read more

Very professional. Took out my old asbestos ducts and installed new registers. Told me my current furnace was good and didn't need to be replaced. My heater is quieter and now heats the house evenly. Checked my PGE bill and both my gas and electric bill has declined with the new ducts. Passed inspection with San Mateo and inspector said these guys did a very good job with the install. read more

These guys are the BEST! I had an old floor furnace taken out and replaced with a forced air furnace, complete with ducts to all the rooms. Communication from the initial quote with Eduardo to all components of the permitting was easy and straightforward. No hidden costs or additional fees. Work was done in 2 days and the house was left cleaner than before they arrived! You won't be sorry if you hire Element Home Solutions! read more

Friendly and knows their stuff. The IQAIR air filter and their Air Quality analysis is a game changer. I recommend anyone to call them and get a Particulate reading and find out what your levels are. You might have dangerous levels and not know it. You do not see Particulates at a size of 44. Particulates are the "what" such as pollen, virus, mold, sand, coffee ground, and MICRON is the size. For instance a human hair is 70 microns. You stop seeing particulates at 44 microns! What you don't know can be dangerous. Have your air checked and have a IQAIR filter installed. read more

This company is efficient, friendly and extremely professional. We have a 2600 sq. ft. home of which they replaced the 40 year old heating system plus installed air conditioning. A huge job that included going into the attic and narrow crawlspace all accomplished in one day. Carlos knows HVAC like the back of his hand, he identifies existing or potential problems, provides the solution and executes the remedy. His follow up on all aspects of the job from beginning to end was very impressive. If you want a job well done...call Element Home Solutions! You won't be disappointed! read more

We decided to install A/C in our house after moving in last year and going through the very hot summer this year. We contacted a few providers, and Element was by far the most responsive and thorough. Very good communication and follow-ups. They worked with us to obtain the permit and set the install date. During the install, the workers were very respectful, efficient and cleaned up well after themselves. Afterwards, Element helped coordinate with the city inspector for the final check. We realized that we needed to do an additional test to finalize the permit, and Element handled all of that as well. I would highly recommend! read more

The world would be a better place if all companies had the same level of work ethic and professionalism as Element. We just completed a 3-day project in our crawlspace (new ductwork and vapor barrier) and these guys were awesome from start to finish. They were polite, respectful, and VERY tidy. Jerry was on site several times to check on the progress and he treats his team with the utmost respect. We will be doing the second phase of attic insulation in a few months, and I have no hesitation about working with Element once again. They are a class act! read more

Attic and crawlspace cleanup and insulation installation plus heating duct cleaning. A very knowledgeable pre-sales inspector recommended a number of improvements. A welcome up-sell. The crew arrived at the scheduled hour and finished before the estimated completion time. The installation team was very professional. courteous, and efficient. Their attitude doing work that is less than appealing was admirable. Over all, an extremely pleasant experience for the customer, too. The installs were done with high quality materials and from what I can tell the installation technique was perfect. I would highly recommend this company. read more

Second time I've used Element for big jobs, attic insulation, duct replacement and AC installation. Excellent work, prompt, professional, great follow up, I recommend highly. read more

They did a good job on the work itself, but the original estimate was way off. They didn't notice an area of the attic during the estimate, so the cost was way higher once they got there and started doing the work. However, they hustled to still get it done same day, and shared in part of the extra cost. The manager called me personally to apologize and make things right. read more

I can't speak highly enough of this company, from Carlos who is meticulous and patient, to his incredibly neat crew, to the efficient and accessible office staff. They replaced our attic insulation and the duct work under our house, serviced our aging heaters, cleaned the vents and upgraded our thermostats. Plus, they connected us with a great electrician and liaised with his team to make attic access easy, greatly reducing the cost of us adding new lighting. I was a skeptical of the company's great ratings so I check their references beforehand, phoning two of their previous clients; both offered glowing reports. If you have to have HVAC work done on your house, these are the people to do it. read more

I Received a promotional booklet in the mail, you know the one's were you get advertising for services. I had needed to have my crawl space cleaned out, this year we had a problem with mice. The mice are gone but the poop is still there. The ad clearly states attic and crawl space clean-up Professionals. Clean up special $95.00 subject to attic/ crawl space inspection. Per single residential attic/ crawl space. Special is for attic OR Crawl space clean up not both.So I called them and set up a time to have them clean out the Crawl space, now my home is a little bigger than most so I thought that well maybe they would charge a little more, So when they showed up they said that they needed to look first, so they inspected the crawl space. Next thing that happened is the head guy comes out with pictures and starts to tell me it will be $1,600.00 and they could do the service right now, as I started to show him the ad, he started to speak over me and all of his guys just jumped in the truck and took off. I didn't know what to do. I have taken my time to think about this post. I never would say anything bad about a business, but I just had to with this experience. I'm considering going to 7 on your side and filing a complaint. read more

Element Home Solutions - flyer - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Oakland, California

Customer service seems to be far removed from this business's dictionary. Of the three employees I dealt with, one seemed defensive, the other was ambivalent, and the third had the personality of a rattlesnake. The company charged for wholly unnecessary services, and acted like they were doing you a favor for charging you. On 11/29/2016 I called element home solutions to schedule a wall furnace repair. The representative on the phone scheduled me for a 12/1/2016 appointment from 1-3 pm. I asked whether or not the repair could be made the same day of the inspection, and was swiftly met with a sharp response and increased tone telling me they couldn't promise me anything, and would only do what they could. Apparently my insolence offended them. How dare I ask a question to gain information on any potential time frame. On 12/1/2016, a technician came to my home to investigate the unit. In what I imagine to be Charlie Brown fashion, he visually inspected the unit, kicked it a few times, and concluded that the entire unit needed to be replaced. Of course, I already knew this, since PG&E red-tagged the unit and declared it a hazard, however, they insisted on "visually inspecting the unit." Additionally, after forgetting his tape measure, the technician used his limbs and body in a crude--albeit resourceful--fashion to "measure" the heating. The technician left abruptly telling me that he would give me a quote later in the day. In response, I told him that I would be busy over the next three hours and would be unable to answer my phone. He informed me that he would email me instead. Not less than a minute after receiving an email with a quote for the job, their company from both the business line and a private number called me no less than 10 times to collect on a service that had been rendered less than an hour before. Despite being in a meeting, they continued to hound me with phone calls, as if I was a debtor in default. They did this despite my agreement with the technician that payment for the service fee would come when the entire project was completed, and I could pay it in full. (As an additional matter, they attempted to collect with malfunctioning phone equipment as well, which made it more frustrating when they kept harassing me with calls: I stepped out of my meeting to answer one of their calls, and no one responded when I answer. I called another number immediately after to check if my phone was the problem, but I experienced no problems when calling other people). The next morning, I was called by them once (with their phones apparently working now) and was greeted by neither a simple "hello," nor a "this is Element Home Solutions." Instead, I was greeted by a rather mafia-esque "You owe us money!" The representative eventually gave me the name of the company after I asked, but elaborated no further. I had to cross examine him in order to determine how to pay: "Do you accept cards? Do you need the 16 digits on the front? Do you need the security code on the back?" Eventually, after excruciating effort on my part, I was able to pay them a measly $79 for a completely useless service, and get them off my back. I could only imagine what their collection tactics if you go more than 24 hours without paying them. God help any poor soul in the scenario. Sufficient to say, I'm using another company for the repair, and will NEVER do business with these people. You should probably use Hassler Heating & Air Conditioning. At least from my experiences with them so far, they know what customer service is. read more

I have had my attic cleaning up and putting the insulation by Element, it is so much better now. It used to be hot and cold and now with hot weather outside I do not feel the heat so much anymore. The crews came in on a weekend and get the done at the same day, nice and very professional workers and willing to lessen to your input and request. At the end of the work they clean it up for you very nicely. I checked the work and observed some little with my recess light and immediately they help to fix it. Wonderful job done ! read more

We recently decided to pull the trigger and get central AC installed, as well as replace our almost 20 year old furnace and could not have been more happier with our decision to use Element Home Solutions. This was our second time entertaining the idea of getting central AC, with the first time back in 2015 when we first bought our house. We entertained all the big players, Hassler, Atlas and a few others including Element. All bids ranged between: higher or much higher than Element. At the time, we were considering doing an addition to our house which we mentioned to all the companies and Element was the only one that recommended we hold off installing AC until after the remodel to help save us money from having to rework ductwork. Needless to say, we remembered that and went with Element for our install and do not regret it. Eduardo was diligent, detailed in his assessment and made sure we understood all our options, including installing another duct to make the AC more efficient. Eduardo and team are skilled, reliable and dedicated and could not recommend them more. read more

EXCELLENT experience with EHS. We added 2 Bryant ductless mini split units to our sunroom and an outdoor condensor. When Ernest, arrived we felt confidence in the company. He was detail oriented, thorough, responsive and very professional. His estimate was complete and provided details that often get overlooked. He quickly followed up with any questions we had. The installation had some complications which were approached methodically requiring chanelling the sunroom walls to insert the pipes for the condenser. We were told they would not patch the wall and we were fine with that because my husband was able to do that. The installers Dimitri and Victor worked very hard to place the pipes through the wall, under the house and out through the patio to the condenser. The installation of the mini splits piping and condenser was clean and thorough. The inspection process was handled by Mac from the office. He coordinated the inspection and mailed us the final documents for inspection. The work passed inspection with no problems! We are very happy with the entire EHS experience and we HIGHLY recommend them. We are now enjoying the comfort of our new minisplits. Thank you to the staff of ELEMENT HOME SOLUTIONS INC, we greatly appreciate your work and professionalism. read more

This company did an amazing job. Got a quote from Eduardo for the installation of AC in my home. Out of four companies he is the only one who went up into the attic to check the ducts. He realized that my ducts need replacement and gave a great price for the job. He then was able to make the job happen within the week! The job only took one day! Eduardo and his crew did an awesome job. Professional and great quality. Over all if you need an HVAC service go with Element Home Solutions. We will use them again if needed. read more

ELEMENT HOME SOLUTIONS (Carlos) is absolutely phenomenal!! House was built 1999; never serviced ... I'm ashamed to say the furnace was completely black with a very fine, thick silt of dirt along each blade; filter was embedded with dust and whatever else; air ducts were just as disgusting. It was a hard lesson today; never to be repeated thanks to Carlos. He was very kind; but firm like a brother to his sister teaching me what I should have already known. He is extremely professional; genuine ... he walked me through each step. He pointed out what he was seeing (before and after the clean-up). Once done, the metal furnace literally sparkled; the filter was changed out from the flimsy paper ones that you buy from the supply company to a proper metal filter and he added a UV light to kill dust particles in the air. He sanitized everything ... air ducts, furnace. Home smells super clean; noticeably pure air ... I can breath! Carlos educated me throughout the whole process; where I never appreciated the importance of servicing your home before. I'm trying to save every penny; however, this was every penny well spent! What a wonderful company! Thank you so very much! read more

My AC wouldn't start couple of weeks back. I looked on yelp for highly rated companies and also asked my friends in pleasanton for referrals. One of my friends recommended Element, so I called them right away. I was able to get an appointment the next day for an evaluation, and within 2 days they were able to fix the issue at a reasonable cost. They were able to diagnose the problem correctly and the entire experience was fast and great! I will definitely call them back for any future needs. This company deserves every five star rating it gets. read more

For our HVAC project this year, we got quotes from several folks which were in ball park and even slightly cheaper than Element home solutions but what puts Element Home different from other contractors are attention to details and doing work in time which meets all city codes. Ernest who came to look at our furnace and give us the initial quote was extremely knowledgeable and found couple of issues with our current set up which other contractors completely missed, he gave very good suggestions on HVAC models, he also inspected the air ducts which none of the other folks bothered to check and highlighted very bad insulation on all ducts below the house. Eventually we decided to do both HVAC + all duct replacement from them and got a very competitive price. There technicians came out on time and did the whole work in 2 days as stipulated in the contract. Element and their team were always available on phone or email and responded instantly. We had some issues with the city permit and was asked for couple of modifications, Element (Mac) came back to fix those issues on time and ensured the city permit was passed. Very impressed with the whole project scheduling, execution, attention to details and communication. At never time I felt that after getting the payment, Element Home delayed in their response. Will highly rate them for any HVAC work. read more
