From start to finish 5 Stars... On a referral from a friend in the A/C business I called Element Home Solutions. I knew my current heater was original to the house (1990) and my electric bills last summer were insane. I explained my situation to Moe, and he got me on the schedule the next day. Eduardo came to my house, and was professional, and polite. He looked at my entire house, including the duct work. He wasn't pushy, and gave me several options. My daughter suffers from severe allergies so he also recommended an air filtration system that is Medical Grade. After everything was said and done, we got the middle of the line unit, and added the medical filter system. Marvin was the installer, and he too was very professional, and put me right at ease. The installation went smoothly, and I even though it was construction, the entire crew cleaned up after themselves. Other than a little dust my house was not messy after they left. I am also happy to say that 3 weeks after the installation my daughter is definitely not as congested as before, and as a plus my home is a lot less dusty than before. Thank you Moe, Ed, and Marvin (and the whole crew). A- read more

Eduardo was amazing he communicated all the way as he installed our HVAC. The whole team was nice they did fantastic job. Will recommend to anyone to use Element Home Solutions. read more

They did a good job they replace my AC furnace and attic insulation. They did an amazing job from scheduling and completing their project in timely manner. Their estimated price was very competitive and I felt like they the most honest and responsive!! Definitely recommend to anyone in a need for HVAC or insulation. read more

I called several places since the furnace stopped working when we replaced the thermostat. Most of them couldn't send anyone for a week or longer. I called Element and they could come out the next morning. Ernest came promptly. diagnosed the blown fuse and replaced it within 30 minutes. Prompt, punctual, friendly. I would highly recommend this company. read more

I evaluated 3 HVAC companies to install AC, Jerry stood far above the rest. Jerry was very up front from the beginning regarding what he thought was best from a value vs functionality perspective, but he was also very flexible when it came to understanding our needs. In every option he proposed, he was very thorough in laying out pros and cons. What I found to be extremely impressive is Jerry's drive and execution. He was never late, and even installed our HVAC ahead of time. Although we know Jerry and his team is extremely busy, its hard to tell because our priorities became his priorities. Additionally, everyone on Jerry's team was excellent as well. The highest recommendations for anyone looking to work with Element Home Solutions, they are awesome. read more

Great service, very high quality work, and an excellent outcome. We love our mini-split AC!

Element did a fantastic job installing a new furnace and duct system in our home, and replacing old insulation underneath the floor boards. They also removed the old gas wall unit that we had there previously. They were responsive, able to schedule the work quickly, and able to get the entire project done in 2 days which was ideal since it was pretty disruptive. Their team was polite, friendly, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. They had to install the unit underneath the house where the only access was through VERY small crawl space openings which I'm sure was extra complicated and dirty/unpleasant but they did a great job. Following the install we had some issues with a grumpy city inspector and the guys from Element came back out to my house several times to make sure everything was wrapped up properly and that we had the necessary permits and paperwork. Would highly recommend Element for any heating or insulation project! read more

The whole processes was quick and efficient! They scheduled all the needed testings and inspections for me after the install. They made it a very simple process and if I need any more HVAC work done, they will be the one to call. read more

Eduardo and his father came from Elements to clean my air ducts, ended up staying to clean the furnace and blower as well, which was needed. Super clean, and fast. I would recommend them for any of their services! read more

We set up an appointment for a routine tuneup and filter repair on our heater. It turned out the motor on our 27 year old heater had a crack in it and was slowly leaking carbon monoxide. Some of the vents also had asbestos on them and needed replacement. Ernest from Element took very good care of us and was incredibly thorough. He coordinated the entire project including asbestos abatement, which was done by a separate company. It was a big job, but Ernest got it done in 2 days. I was very impressed and we love our new heater. Ernest then dropped in a couple days after the install while he was in the neighborhood and calibrated everything to our liking after we tested the system for a couple days and provided feedback. Highly recommend Element, and if you're lucky enough to get Ernest to assist, you won't be disappointed. read more

Very disappointed in this company. After reading the reviews I thought it may be the best choice. Well no, not even close. I set an appointment for the bid, someone showed as scheduled, was very nice, but didn't follow through. First the bid was three times the amount of another company doing the exact same thing and what was really frustrating was I never got the written bid via email as promised. No, I didn't call them because if they weren't interested enough to send the bid, I wasn't going to hold their hand. They may do good work, but I will never know. read more

Still six stars, but I'm limited by Yelp to five. Anyway, had the City inspector come last week to approve and sign off on the work done by Element. He was really pleased with the finished look they gave to the furnace installation. Especially the way they handled the condensate drain off. "Very professional" was his comment. And on a personal note, the house remains cooler in the hot weather than before. That's probably due to the new insulation coupled with the new A/C that was installed. read more

I had my doubt when I contacted Element Home Solutions, because they are based in Oakland, and I am in South Bay, but it turned out to be a great decision. I got an appointment without too much wait, and Jorge came on time to inspect my current HVAC. He explained to me what he would do differently and how it would perform better than my old system. In the end, I picked their proposal. On the day of the job, they arrived on time. Everybody wore masks and outer protective clothing while working. They finished on time and cleaned up everything. A third party company was hired to check there was no pipe leak the next day. The guy from the company told me he knew Element Home Solutions usually does a good job, and the test passed. Until that point, I was still thinking, hm, this company was contacted by Element, so maybe he said nice things about them because they were friends? Then next week, the city inspector came to inspect the work. To my surprise, even the city inspector said they did a very good job, and usually most companies don't pass on the first inspection, but they pass on the first try! The inspector even asked me which company did the job. I am very impressed and would recommend them! read more

We had the crawl space beneath our house insulated Friday. We are very pleased with the results. The crew was on time and very professional. They even found a water leak that we are having repaired next week. They also do heating and cooling systems. They are very thorough and hard working. The person that came and estimated the job was very knowledgeable and explained what they would do and why. The estimate was on the high side but you get what you pay for. read more

I am updating my review after receiving a call from the company manager. He apologized and gave me a partial refund. I appreciate the follow-up and it shows the company cares about its customers. read more

Very happy with their services. They guided me through the permit application process (though they were willing to apply and get the permit themselves, I applied as owner due to nonstandard placement of the condenser). The installation was done in one day as promised, in the middle of a heatwave I should add. They took care of scheduling the HERS and permit closing inspections, both of those went smooth. Would highly recommend. read more

I just had Element Home Solution come to my home, to give me an estimate on a vapor barrier installation. The technician proceeded to give me an estimate without taking a single measure, and by initially telling me they would install a one millimeter barrier. He corrected himself, only after I questioned the dimension of the barrier to be installed. He then threw out what seemed to be some random figure for the cost of the project. I had to ask him about a warranty, he seemed reluctant to talk about one. And the numbers he gave for their warranty were laughable at best! However, that's not the reason for my one star review. And believe me, if there was a way to give a negative star review, you'd be reading one right now! This review is not based on the company's work. Because after today I will never be able to speak on that. This review is solely based on the interaction I had with the technician they sent out to my house today. Once the very brief estimating portion of the visit was done, Eric the technician turned to me to ask me what I thought about Trump. I was surprised to hear what I thought was a professional visit turn into a personal and political conversation. What followed was a heated debate on my front lawn. Eric the technician took great steps to tell why he is for Trump and would never vote for Hilary. Since he told me he was from Israel, I'm not even sure he could vote in an election in the United States. That's neither here nor there. What I take umbrage with, is the fact that he would dare to stand on my own property and tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about. To be told that I need to open my eyes. And to be grilled about my knowledge of the history the Palestinian people. I just wanted a estimate for a vapor barrier!!!! I finally decided not to engage with Eric anymore, I throw him off my property. And immediately called his company to let them know about my experience. My experience with the person that they decided was the best person to represent their company. I promptly let them know, it was a very bad choice! Max the supervisor, after begging me repeatedly not to write this review, called me back to let me know they have suspended Eric. For one week! I chuckled and told him I'd be sure to put that in my review. So, for all those Bay Area people who don't want a political debate with your free estimate, I suggest you look elsewhere! I have never been spoken to with such disrespect on my own property, especially by a company trying to earn my business. As for the vapor barrier project, I've already had another company here to give an estimate. And I'm waiting on four more to come and give me their estimates. But, I'll be damned if I was willing to not let the Yelp community know about my experience with Element Home Solutions. After all, that's all Yelp was meant to be. Honest reviews, by actual people! And me, I vote with my pocketbook! And Element Home Solutions just lost this election!!!! read more

I had a critter in my wall and it was driving me crazy! I received the Value Pak coupons in the mail and voila rodent proofing? What is that?I inquired with the 3 companies that had coupons for the same things but I was most impressed with my call with Mac who scheduled me the following day. Ernest came out and did a thorough review of what would most benefit me and gave me the pics. Not only did I opt for the rodent proofing, I also opted for new insulation, asbestos boot removal (a separate cost) and air duct replacement in the attic and crawl space! I now call that critter my golden rat! Ernest and his team were friendly, on-time, and quick! Im truly enjoying the benefits of the new insulation and flow through the air ducts. Element's quote was very competitive and definitely fit my budget. I also went with them because of their superior customer service. You can trust that Ernest and his team will get the job done with professionalism and utmost care. I will recommend this business to friends and family most definitely. read more

Just finished up with Carlos and his Crew. All great hard working guys. They came on time as expected and cleaned up after they were complete. I had them out to change out some damaged ducts, hang my entire duct system and a standard duct cleaning. I'm glad I went with Element Home solutions and will be calling them back in a year or so for another cleaning. Thanks again Carlos read more

They did two things for us: 1. They replaced our 28-year-old furnace, and they did it very quickly and professionally. 2. They cleaned and serviced our other 28-year-old furnace. (We have two HVAC units.) The next time I turned on this unit, it did not work for heat, AC, or even the fan. A serviceman came out that day and advised that we needed to replace our fan, something that could be expensive. When the supervisor called me, he said they would fix/replace the fan for no charge -- and they did, within a few days. I was extremely impressed with the stand-up way they handled all our problems. read more

We had our 1952 home attic blown-in insulation removed, sterilized, rodent proofed and new insulation replaced yesterday. The crew was efficient, gracious, clean and timely. I had element home solutions come to my house to take a look at my old heater and A/C which has not been functioning right over last 6 months. I got estimates from few different companies in the neighborhood but element gave me the best price and they were very knowledgeable about product they were going to install and very professional. On the day of the install the guy were in my home on scheduled time . Within 6 hours they had completed the install and they arranged the all the permit, hers rater testing and city inspection. Within 1 week they completed city inspection and in very happy with all the services. I recommend element home solutions Thank you read more

We needed to replace a 30 year old HVAC system and get the attic cleaned out from rodent waste after the exterminators took care of the rodent problem. Cesar from Element came and designed a new heating and air conditioning system. The price was within our budget. The job took 2 days. They took care to not track dirt all over the house. The insulation keeps the house 2 degrees warmer and the furnace and AC are much more efficient than what we had before. I would recommend them again. read more

Ernest was such a great help, very much recommend them for any of your HVAC services!

We remodeled our home this past summer and now that the interior is done, we needed some added ducts and a new furnace. I saw the reviews online for Element Home Solutions and decided to give them call. Now I am the type to just look like everyone else just cause that's what we do, but when I needed actual work done it changed the way I look at reviews. So now I am posting a review, the work that was done by this company is excellent. I had to only consider, and sign a they took care of the rest. They left my home in great condition with all the work done. Thanks again to Ernest for being very thorough and to Element team. read more

Polite, Clean, Professional....I hope to use you again. I now need my house air conditioned! I will get in touch very, very soon. I called and ask for an inspection to do attic clean up because their ad indicated a clean up special of $95. I later asked for a quote including insulation. The quote was $3900 for both, and I later asked for a clean up only and they told me $3000. There is a big discrepancy between $95 and $3000. My house is 1333 sqft. I didn't hire their services and do not recommend them because I thought it was misleading advertisement. read more

I had a lot of rodent problems and insulation damage in my attic. They gave me an amazing quote and sanitized it all, removed all the old insulation and installed new R38 batt insulation. So we were looking just to replace the insulation hoping it would help with cooling my home, and my friend was helping me out with that and noticed that the ducts were damaged, some of them were collapsed. We had excessive dust and dirt and couldn't figure out why. So we called looking for speedy services wanting to free our home of the dirt/dust. Element came out the same day, provided complete list of cost including proper permits to get the job done. They were able to get me completely installed in a day's work! Their commitment to excellence and their professional manners were very impressive to me. I like things to move along quickly and these were the guys for the job! I was very impressed with Element Home Solutions from beginning to end. We had them install central air conditioning along with a new furnace and new duct work. Within days of contacting them they came out to my house to provide a quote. They also told us about a few different options we had and the cost associated with those choices so that we could make an informed decision. Once I decided to move forward I had a contract that same day and the work was completed 2 days later. They rushed to fit us in so we didn't have to go through another hot day without AC since we have a newborn, and the crew was punctual and professional. I would recommend them to anybody who needs assistance with heat or air for their home. read more

I recently hire this company to change out the insulation in my attic, and I am pretty impressed with the work that was done. Initially I called a few companies to home to give me estimates for changing out the insulation in my attic. After going over the estimates , I had few questions for the companies. The only company that responded to my questions and inquires right away was this company Element. The employee name Jerry was thorough with answering my questions and gave me direct number, so I can contact him directly if I had and other questions or concerns. That personal services was why I chose the company. I felt if I needed anything or had concerns, there was someone I could go directly to. I was able to schedule the appointment the the following weekend and the work was done in about 2 days. The first day they came to start on the job, they were basically cleaning up the old blow in insulation in my attic. They use some kinds of large vacuum type of machine to vacuum out all the old insulation. Once they were done they sprayed a form of sanitizer or disinfectant around the attic. The next day they laid out all the new insulation. I decided to do the roll out insulation instead of the blow in type. It looks much cleaner now. Once the job was done, the workers cleaned up their work space and removed all the old insulation. Forgot to mention, this company does everything with permits, so the city will come out to ensure the job was done right. The inspection will be this week but I pretty sure everything is fine. I'm pretty happy with this company and their work was impressive. read more

We had rats in our ducting. Element came out, inspected our ducting, showed us photos of where the damage and rodents were getting into the ducting. We have little kids so we were pretty freaked out. These guys are pros and I highly recommend them. Email me if you want any additional feedback. read more

I had Element Home Solutions clean up from a rat infestation in my crawl space 18 months ago, plug the rat holes and lay a vapor barrier. I selected Element after interviewing one other supplier whose slippery sales person turned me off and when I checked Yelp found the reviews to be very bad. Not only did Element have great reviews, but Eduardo/Cesar, the project manager/estimator, seemed honest and provided a lot of supplemental information to point me to the best and least costly solution. Their work was superb and clean. Eduardo/Cesar did tell me to get a rodent service to inspect and warranty. I thought my handyman was good enough, but within a couple months of his departure, the heating service guy found a rat in a trap on top of the furnace. I had Element out again and was given the bad news the rats had created more holes to get in, left lots of stuff that needed cleaning up and had gotten into the insulation around the aluminum ductwork. Eduardo/Cesar's advice was to consider replacing the ductwork with galvanized, especially considering it was probably 30 years old and was not sized properly for the high efficiency furnace Atlas installed 17 years ago. Then on arrival to install the ductwork, I was given the news that the furnace was not properly sized for the house - 2 ton which is ok for 900 - 1000 sq foot house, whereas mine is 1900 and needs a 4 ton. Now all this might seem like upselling, but I checked out the recommendations and they all seemed valid, and I had already built up trust in Element. So they went ahead and replaced the ductwork, the furnace, plugged the rat holes and cleaned up. Element has an amazing crew that works like clockwork and completed the job in a day, and left no debris. They employ Archon to check their work and pull the permits. When the Archon guy came by, he could not stop praising Element, saying they never see any problems with their jobs and they are one of the best. It can be very hard to find trustworthy companies to work on your house. I am not happy with Atlas, given that I found out furnaces don't really need yearly service and that they had not bothered to suggest upgrading the original furnace to an adequate size for the house, had not suggested replacing ductwork or sizing it appropriately for the newer high efficiency furnaces. I feel lucky to have happened on Element, appreciate their trustworthy customer service and efficient and well-priced work. And I am now toasty warm, and interviewing rodent services for ongoing protection from these aggressive varmints. read more

We decided to use Element Home Solutions to replace our failing ducting under our home. We also had them install a vapor barrier in the crawl space. We had a new Carrier Infinity Furnace and AC installed by a different contractor 5 years ago under the Energy upgrade California program. I was told that the old ducting would be repaired and sealed to title 24 standards. Fast forward 5 years and my ducting is falling apart. After having ducting inspected there was no evidence to suggest that any repair or sealing had taken place with the furnace installation of 5 years ago. I also got an estimate from my previous contractor for ducting replacement. Carlos from Element Home Solutions arrived on time and was able to give me an honest evaluation and estimate to replace the horrible existing ducting system. Carlos showed me photos of improperly sealed and degraded ducting. Element Home Solutions was able to replace the ducting and install a vapor barrier for a much more reasonable cost over my other estimates Wow what a difference this made. No more dust blowing throughout the house. The airflow is balanced with a much lower static pressure on the furnace. We are very very happy with the work if I could go back in time I would have had Element Home Solutions install my Furnace. read more
