Very tasty food, nice selection, all vegan. Meat eaters don't be afraid! I'm a meat-and-potatos guy and I enjoyed it! Sat outside on a nice summer night, very attentive wait staff, super fast order-to-table (like it was waiting for us already!) Great, delicious local brew menu, I had a "Pineapple Habanero" and it was tasty! Good food, very flavorful, good drinks, great staff, great downtown location, what more could you want?! read more

My family and I checked out this (then new) restaurant during a rough patch in the pandemic and sat outside. The outdoor patio space was lovely. We were all extremely excited to try everything. However, my impression is that this restaurant is not family friendly, because of the terrible service we received. You can't bring kids to a restaurant with impossibly long wait times, and the waits for every step of the process (being seated - despite having reservations, receiving menus, ordering food, receiving food, etc.) were excessively long. The waiter seemed like he was in an altered state. Several times, I had to go hunt down other staff to ask for help (water refills, ketchup, etc.). This became apparent to a manager. The food was ok (mixed reviews), so we might return someday to try some different dishes; perhaps our server has been replaced by now, and perhaps indoor seating would yield better service? read more

Let me start this by thanking Dontell, his service was amazing. I witnessed him be attentive and accommodating while experiencing an evening rush. He displayed such poise and focus, tending to a full bar. My husband and I ordered the Carolina Mule, as a ginger lover it was tasty. I ordered the Nashville Chick'n, loaded totchos, and the starter wings with jalapeño bbq. Don't judge I'm only in town for the weekend lol. The Nashville chick'n was good not as spicy as I thought but still really good, the fries were fresh. The totchos were good, but the cheeze sauce was a little too thick for my liking. The flavor was good though. The wings were good too, even my carnivorous hubs liked them. The atmosphere was welcoming and chill. I liked that there was a photo opp wall that reads "I licked it so it's mine." Too bad my hubs wouldn't let me lick his face in a picture lol... If you're looking for some good 100% vegan bar food this is the place to go. Make sure you tip Dontell, you'll see that his service is worth it! read more

Overpriced and they nickel and dime everything. The food is not even that great. It's essentially all fried. You can fry cardboard and it'll be good. The service sucks read more

My family's favorite place in Raleigh! My favorites are Buffalo Soldier or try the BBQ nachos with a side of three pepper sauce and the homemade sour cream. Yum! read more

Wow. My wife and I went here this evening. The experience vaults Element into my favorite restaurant. I have been vegetarian for a long time, though my wife eats meat. We both loved the food. We got chick'n tenders, "pork" nachos, and the elemental burger, and a dessert. It was WAY too much food and we took a lot of it home. The nachos were superb, so tasty. The fries were perhaps the tastiest fries I've had. The chicken was great too. But the best thing was the elemental burger. Wow! Beyond that, the customer service was great. They didn't put our order in quickly or there was a glitch, so it took a while for the food to arrive. The staff were very friendly and gave us dessert for free. I recommend this place really highly! read more

Raleigh needed more vegan places that make it so good that you don't realize it's vegan. The Bahn Mi was so delicious, and I would get it again. My wife likes mild spicy, but the Nashville Hot Chicken is fire spicy, so I got the opportunity to eat the other half of her sandwich (it was delicious too). You can't go wrong with the tots or the fries. Looking forward to trying everything on their menu. read more

My friend and I went here and their chicken sandwich is sooo good! I have had a lot of vegan food in my life but I have never had a vegan chicken fried as perfectly as this. I cannot wait to go back and try the other items on their menu. Also their fries had so much flavor and the ranch I got on the side was the perfect pairing with them. All of the food we had was so well done, it was really impressive. The only negative I have was their cocktails. My friend and I both got cocktails and they were not what we were expecting. Instead of a small tumbler cocktail like we were expecting, they were whole water glasses full and just tasted a bit watered down and not very good. Would have preferred a smaller drink with more concentrated flavor. I'm sure they will work out the kinks so don't let this deter you because the food was phenomenal! read more

Vegan Junk Food Galore! Vegan does not mean healthy so don't come here looking for a nutritious meal of veggies. These are vegan mimicks of animal based meals. Greasy, good, and tastes great! My family and I really enjoyed all of the food we got. Desserts are not good, especially for the price. Other than that, I 100% reccomend to anyone who is in need of vegan comfort food. I got a spicy crispy chicken sandwich. read more

Great place for vegan/vegetarian options! I wish all places had such a variety of entrees for people who have dietary restrictions. This place is a must for all my plant based people. read more

Might be the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to. The service is great and the food and drinks are even better. read more

I don't get the great reviews unless their dinner food and service is far superior to their brunch. My kids got the chicken strips/fries and my husband got the chicken wings (which came with carrots). They were the same dish (same vegan protein) except for the amount and the sauce but my husband's was $6 more. I got the hunni chicken sandwich and that one was the only good meal of the bunch (that's the only reason for two stars). There were no drinks available except water, lemonade, and cocktails. I wanted an iced tea or iced coffee which seems like pretty basic brunch beverages but they didn't have them. The real issue is that the service was super poor. The host didn't really welcome us, just asked if we had a reservation. We said no, and they said, k, sit wherever you want. Our waiter was hard to get a hold of, never smiled, didn't make eye contact, never asked how our food was when the water was refilled. When we attempted to order certain items listed on the menu, all the waiter said was, "nope, they don't do that anymore". One of our chairs was broken and we swapped it out with another chair for ourselves since we couldn't find the waiter. They were maybe only half full so being slammed isn't the excuse. I am very forgiving when I'm in a vegan restaurant since I appreciate the values behind veganism but this place did nothing for us. It was such a bummer. read more

Great food, really creative menu too. I had the "fried chk'n" sandwich and loved it . The service was excellent

Delicious!!! The "lobster roll" was mind blowing. Nice service and waiter was on point!

We're vegan and are always looking for great vegan food. We were excited to find this restaurant. We ordered the nashville hot chicken and fries and the chicken sandwich, no side. The bread was great, the pickles were good. The condiments on the sandwiches had no discernible flavor. The chicken was crunchy, so the texture was pretty good, but again, had very little flavor. The fries, however, were excellent. Unfortunately we've been spoiled by Pure Vegan Cafe. Their chicken sandwiches are AMAZING - very crispy and very very tasty. Their honee mustard on the chicken sandwiches is amazing as well and just adds to the wonderful taste. Lastly, their sweet potato fries are the best we've ever had. Even though we didn't have a great first experience at Element Gastropub, we will be back for brunch. There aren't a bunch of vegan restaurants, so they deserve another chance. They're also in a great location. read more

Quick stop before flying home to Seattle. Best chickn sandwich I think I ever ate. Had the honey fried chicken sandwich side of yummy Buffalo sauce and FFries were bomb! Highly recommend. read more

Cold and late food. Rude owners. Quality has gone downhill each time we try going here.

Love this spot and so do my non-vegan family members. My favorite is the Carolina barbecue sandwich with coleslaw. The fries taste like vinegar and that's not my thing. Great salad, too! read more

The food was great even as a non vegan I had the Nashville hot chickn sandwich and my date had the Buffalo chickn sandwich

Earlier this week my husband and I, both mostly plant based eaters, decided to try Element Gastropub after our first choice was closed for lunch. Luckily for my broken toe, we found parking very near by and walked in to a quite busy place. The decor was casual industrial and ambiance was approachable. Being a senior and 'old school' I was slightly put off to learn that ordering was only by scanning a QR code for the menu, but soon figured it out. Now to find a server. THAT was a challenge as we found out that in the back, two employees were out and in the front there was only one experienced server and another in training on her first day! The owner was there as was his father and between the two of them, we were able to put in our order before too long. I had the BBQ nachos plate while my husband ordered the Buffalo Soldier. Both were quite tasty and generously portioned [we both took home leftovers]. I adored mine while my husband would have preferred the greens on his to be chopped into bits sized pieces and would have liked more dressing on his. We will definitely return, including Element Gastropub on our 'lunch out' rotation. read more

Worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. We were there for over an hour waiting for food, and were never even offered a drink refill while our server was walking around aimlessly. Other tables ended up getting food and drinks before us. We saw our drink made, and then it took 10+ minutes for the server to bring it to the table. Not all of the tables were full, it was not super packed. I do not recommend going here. We ended up leaving and getting Jimmy Johns two seconds away, which we got within 5 minutes and had better service. read more

Eaten there with my husband twice and we absolutely love it. The element burger and malt vinegar fries is to die for as well as the cava sparkling wine. It is so nice to go to a good vegan restaurant. Definitely be returning back. read more

I don't usually leave reviews on places I eat at but felt the need to leave one this time. The food is okay.... Got the chicken sandwich and I did eat most of it but, it just wasn't for me. Fries are delicious though! Service was decent but none of the workers looked happy to be there which was really sad to see. Ambiance is really nice and interesting, however, the restaurant itself is actually really filthy. Saw a huge water bug/cockroach crawling up into the cabinets with the coffee cups in them. Should probably get pest control in there asap. Not saying I would never eat there again but it will probably be a while before I return with the hopes that the place is actually cleaned better and the bug situation is handled. read more

Yall...I had a near religious experience last night with their Coconut Shrimp. It was that good. Staff is always phenomenal, and the food is truly delicious. 100% worth checking out, whether it's date night, brunch, or if you're interested in trying all vegan fare! Cruelty free means you're free to enjoy it all the more. Would give more stars if I could. read more

Kito was a great server. Very attentive and gracious. The foid is an A+. Second time here had the BLT burger. Probably the best vegan burger i've had. Highly reccomend this spot. read more

Received their email about Octoberfest and immediately made a reservation for Friday night. Had my meal and drink all planned and looking forward to the night. When it was time to order they were out of brats and no longer carried the beer. Very disappointed. If your going to have special and advertise make sure you have an ample supply. read more

We went to eat dinner there during a festival that was happening in downtown so it was very loud and busy outside. Once we got to the restaurant, it was a little chaotic since people were coming into the place to buy a drink so they can use the bathroom. Anyway, we sat at the bar since we walked in without reservations. The drinks were amazing and the food was really good. The owner of the business was working the bar and he was really nice and doing his team and him ere doing their best to take care of all customers. Even though the festivities outside were causing things to look chaotic, the staff did an amazing job. Highly recommend! read more

The food here is okay but it is certainly not good enough for the service I received. My party arrived and the hostess said she wanted to check with the waiter to see if he could handle another table. I appreciated this since it seemed like not overwhelming the wait staff was a priority. He said yes, we were seated and we placed our order of nachos and fries. For the next 45 minutes, we did not see our waiter or our food. When I finally made eye contact, he came by and said he would check on our food. He returned to say that there was some confusion in the kitchen and it would be about 5 more minutes. Another fifteen minutes went by and finally our food arrived. All toppings on nachos were cold and the fries were barely warm. Despite the temperate the food was still okay but I was left confused why an hour wait for food resulted in cold dishes. At the end of the evening, the waiter apologized for the wait and brought us cookies. I asked him if they contained cinnamon, since I had an allergy and he said he was 99% positive they didn't. Long story short, they most certainly did and I went home with hives as a result. There are other plant based restaurants in town that offer way better service so I'd recommend visiting them first. read more

I've been dying to come here because I was a huge fan of Remedy (RIP) We came on a Thursday night around 8:30, the place wasn't crowded and we sat outdoors. I ordered the chicken tenders and my friend ordered loaded fries. The server told my boy that he could have chicken wings because they were GF. When his wings arrived by a different server the man informed my boy that they were not GF and that nothing on the menu except salads were GF. Then my chicken things arrived and they looked like old, fried ballerina slippers. They were these chunks of over salted, saturated in some oil. They were supposed to come with two sauces and we only got one. I asked for catsup and it never came. My friend said he would take them and gave me the loaded fries which were also over salted and lacked flavor. My friend said he couldn't eat the shoe-chunks either and then got up and went to spit out something he claimed was like gristle. The server offered us to go boxes and I told her the meal was terrible and she became a little acrid and said that NO ONE had ever told her that. I've had bad food, especially in diners and so forth but the wretched taste that these things left in my mouth was probs one of the worst. We were starving when we left and ended up eating at home. Maybe It was an off night-IDK. read more

If you're looking for the most creative, satisfying, well-priced 100% vegan restaurant in the state of NC, look no further than Element!!! They have some incredible mock meat, my favorite is the BBQ sandwich or the BBQ nachos or the buffalo grilled chik'n wrap/salad. Both are actually seitan, which I love. There's also options for those who aren't fans of mock meats, like the kale Caesar salad, caprese sandwich, and the Pimento grilled cheese, not to mention the French fries, cookies, and cake are out of this world. Element is also single-handedly responsible for making me eat salads again because I refuse to eat any greens if it does not have their vegan ranch or bleu cheese dressing on it, so good!! The portions will actually leave you full and they have great shareable options. The cocktails are creative and all the beer, wine, and liquors are also vegan, which is a nice touch. read more

Stay away if any allergies!! My daughter has nut and sesame allergies and told server he said he told kitchen she had an immediate reaction hives on face and throat itching very dangerous bad reaction. Absolutely delicious food all around. I am a vegan but my dad is a full on carnivore. We shared the loaded totchos to start and cleared the whole plate!! So delicious. My dad said he couldnt even tell the difference in his chicken sandwich!! It's always a win if a meat eater is licking their 100% plant based dish clean. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and it was SO good! The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned and my sandwich was absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to come back ASAP read more

I walked in with a group of friends around 4:30pm for an early dinner and was asked if I had a reservation, which we didn't. The hostess and either the owner or floor manager made it slightly over bearing comment that I should always make a reservation. We then walked outside to be seated down. We asked if we could sit away from the door at another table. The owner/floor manger grind in reluctance and said "the thing is I have to seat you in a certain way for my waiters". Not the best response. After about 2 minutes he walked back out and moved us over to where we originally asked. I guess he realized that wasn't the best business practice to not accommodate your gusts, and no the place wasn't busy yet. It seems like I'm bashing this place but all around it wasn't a bad experience. I split the chili covered nachos with 3 other people...and let me tell you it was AMAZING. The chili was some of the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend. As far as my entree I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich which wasn't the best. It had hard, burnt, and chewy black bits on the outside of it and hardly tasted like Buffalo. It needed more sauce, but the side of cucumber salad was delicious. My friends got the pulled pork sandwich which they said was really good. So I would suggest getting that as an entree. Overall, I thought it was ok and that I picked the wrong entree. I'm looking forward to going back there and trying something else. read more

3 meat eaters walked into a vegan restaurant.... And loved it! We tried a bit of everything on opening night, sampling the different proteins and we were all very happy. The flavors were all on point, the drinks were great and we all said we couldn't tell that the buffalo chix sandwich wasn't real chicken... The wait and bar staff were all really friendly and opening night went off without a hitch. Will definitely be going back and spreading the word. read more

My boyfriend and I got dinner, here. He isn't all that much for vegan or vegetarian, but he really enjoyed the burger he had, and the fries... delicious! I forgot what the burger was called that he got. Maybe just a smash burger, but he loved the nachos cheese. I got the essential burger, I think it's a variation of that name, but it's a veggie pattie. I got it without the vegan cheese, and got mustard instead of the sauce it comes with. A side salad, no dressing or cheese. I'm a very picky eater. They accomplished to accommodate each request, without hesitation or complaints. I admire that! My food was so delicious! Fresh, flavorful, did not make me sick, not that it should, but I have a lot of dietary issues, so...that's saying a lot. Sorry for the run on sentence. Our waitress was probably the kindest, most patient woman. She had a great personality! The whole place was clean and cute. Great ambiance. I recommend, highly! read more

Food was spicy but good. Service started slow, almost felt ignored. Manager noticed we were unattended and quickly the service improved.

Great food! Lots of flavor and the drinks were poured well!! We had chili cheese fries, tats and bbq nachos. Yummy!!

My daughter and I ate here a couple days before Christmas while visiting from out of state. This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had, hands down. The food was delicious and the service excellent and friendly. We ordered the totchos, impossible burgers, caesar salad, fries, cookies and peanut butter pie- all amazingly tasty! We also ordered 2 mixed drinks that were good. The restaurant was not super busy. Dark atmosphere, enjoyed the rotating art on screens at either end of the place. read more
