    House made bread
    Dyrbin A.

Came in a group of 4 and our taste buds had no idea of the amazing meal they were in for. Started off with expertly crafted unique drinks, complimentary house made bread, then onto the main dishes. Everyone in my group was super impressed by the quality and would definitely come back again. The dining area was super spacious as well with plenty of natural lighting.

    Fish and chips was awesome.

Fish and chips were excellent. Batter was light and crispy. Fries were great. Perfectly cooked to be super hot and juicy. We were less impressed with the tomato crab soup and the element salad. The lunch menu is mostly sandwiches, soup and salad. The dinner menu has more interesting items. But overall we will definitely return.

Comfort food cooked to perfection, with hearty portions. Element offers a variety of Gluten-Free choices. Particularly tasty was the pan roasted chicken and the salmon. Element is popular among locals, so you know it's good.

My friends and I came here for dinner this past Saturday after hiking the whole day. The restaurant is super modern and sleek so we felt severely underdressed, haha. Fortunately, we were still able to dine in despite all of that. The pricing for food here is reasonable and they have an extensive pizza menu. However, after a long hike, I needed more protein and they had so many appealing options! PAN ROASTED BONE-IN CHICKEN - 18.50 There is about a 30-35 minute roasting time for this entree. Fortunately, there weren't many people dining in while we were there, so I believe they were done within 25 minutes. This entree was definitely worth the wait. There were three cuts of chicken (drumstick, thigh, and breast) that had golden brown skin sitting on top of a smooth bed of mashed potatoes and au jus with some sautéed spinach on top. I could hear the crisp of skin as I cut into the chicken. This was super delicious and because I was really hungry, I inhaled the whole entree with in 10 minutes. I thought the white meat was done really well as it was very juicy and soaked in the flavors of gravy well. Overall, I'd highly recommend this entree as it was very much worth the money and wait. It's been a while since I was this impressed by a chicken dish at a higher-end restaurant. My friends ordered a pizza each (10" diameter, all you can get for under $15 which is very reasonable). They seem to enjoy the red sauce from the "Carbonizzare" and "Il Calore" pizzas. I'm glad we stopped by Element on our way back from hiking! Element is also in a great location (Front Royal Downtown?) with lots of other shops to check out before or after your meal!

We had dinner here while on a little get away. It's in historic Front Royal and very close to the Shenandoah entrance. The service was really good, our waitress was friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is incredibly well done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also a little section that you can reserve for private events.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They just changed their menu and the food was good - a little heavy and very creamy on everything for me, but we still enjoyed the meal! They also made a nice mocktail for us with strawberry and mint that was very refreshing.

Great decor, the food ran the gamut between mediocre and fantastic, and great service! Barely scrapes by with a 4/5 for me.

Everyone was so personable from the minute we walked into this elegant manor house. Cocktails and conversation were on point. Owner/Chef Dane stopped by our table at the end of meal and was so delightful to talk with. We had a terrible storm during the dinner service, apparently a tree went across the road nearby and knocked out their internet service preventing them from being able to check us out at the end of the evening. Would gladly come back. -Brussels sprouts: delicious. Roasted and topped with parm, bacon, and balsamic glaze. As with all Brussels some bits are charred and a little too toasty for me but really yummy. -Marry me chicken: it's rich- a lot of cheese and cream. Portion is huge. Tangy sundried tomatoes cut the richness and was actually tender. I enjoyed the better as leftovers and I don't know why. Mashed potatoes creamy, buttery delicious. I don't like spinach so I got it with a side of green beans. -Green beans: good but cooked and seasoned unevenly. I still liked it -Grilled mahi tacos: I enjoyed this the most. The taco shell isn't a taco shell, more like a flatbread or naan toasted. It has a variety of textures and flavors - pumpkin seeds, jalapeño slaw, avocado sauce, and pico. It's bright and punchy and delicious. Comes w fries -Sweet potato fries: so yum. Crispy outside fluffy inside Cheese pizza: a lot of cheese- a little too much for me. The restaurant itself is lake themed with beautiful wood paneling, floor to ceiling windows, centered around a cozy fire place. I made a comment that it'd be perfect for baby/ bridal showers and my friend said people actually have weddings here. The interior is matched by an even more beautiful view. They offer outdoor waterside seating on their deck. It looks to be screened in/ have windows so you're not exposed to the weather. Service was great/ attentive.

AFTERNOON TEA ONLY review. Recently, The famous Inn at Little Washington began offering afternoon…read moretea, previously a perk for only guests at the Inn, as a standalone service. I brought my mother for tea as a special birthday treat. A few days before our reservation, staff from the Inn reached out to confirm the reservation and ask if we were celebrating any occasion and I told them about my mother's birthday. We arrived at the Inn a little before 2pm and were told they couldn't seat us until right at 2pm for tea. However, at 2pm, when we were lead to the conservatory for tea, there were already people seated. I'm fine with rules like this, but then they need to be the same for all parties. They started us off with a version of an Aperol that was refreshing and the selection of teas was very nice. The food was brought out on a small serving tower with three savory and three sweet items for each of us. We loved the lemon tarts and lobster rolls, but the scones were undercooked and doughy inside. While this was less food than we expected (especially for the $114 per person price point), they did ask if we'd like another of any of our favorite items and then brought us out more of those. This was a thoughtful way of keeping the number of items low, but giving guests more of what they loved. We stayed for about an hour and they began clearing plates and teapots, etc. At no point did anyone acknowledge my mother's birthday or tell us that service had concluded. We walked out of the dining room and while my mother was getting the car from the valet I asked about her birthday recognition with the team. They apologized profusely and offered us complimentary breakfast the next day. As we had driven 2 hours for tea, that was not in the cards. Instead, they refunded the ENTIRE MEAL. I certainly did not ask that they do that, but it was a considerable gesture on their part. I love the Inn at Little Washington and have had amazing meals there, but I would not recommend it for Afternoon Tea. The staff just doesn't seem to have a grip on how to do it for guests who aren't staying overnight at the Inn. Maybe they'll figure it out in a couple months, but I'll take my teas elsewhere.
