Came here for a birthday dinner with friends and the property was beautiful inside and out. The staff was fantastic and welcoming. We had a private room and it made the experience so special. The food was great and my highlight was the pistachio gelato! Wow!!! Should be a staple on the menu and I'll come back for only that! it's a place for a beautiful romantic over night stay in the country with a delicious and intimate dinner with a cute bar and beautiful scenery.

Extremely attentive, excellent and creative presentation and execution of food was perfect. Ebony, the pastry chef, checked in on us frequently to ensure that our dietary restrictions were adhered to, and we were enjoying our meal. The head chef, Aaron, even came out to explain a couple of the courses, which was awesome. It was wonderful to meet them, and you can see the tender loving care put into each course of the five course meal. As a summer dinner, everything felt light and refreshing and not overly powered. We were full at the end of our meal, but not overly full and every course paired into the next course, which felt like a story was unfolding before our eyes. Our favorite course was the Hamachi Crudo, and our main courses, which included halibut and sirloin. But all of the courses were delightful and so well executed. We are very grateful that we decided to spend our anniversary here. Thank you!

Was finally able to stop in recently and had an amazing meal at Blue Rock - can't recommend it enough. The property is beautiful, definitely go when the sun is still out. We sat in the main dining room next to a window overlooking the pond. The meal was wonderful from start to finish. Service was attentive but not overbearing, menu was straightforward, we tried most of the current tasting menu and there wasn't a weak dish. Chef Bin's cooking is awesome - lots of familiar flavors but presented in interesting ways and executed perfectly. Loved the winter vegetable tart, the bluetine tartare, the spatzle and foie dish, we fought over the "mac and cheese", and the desserts were all fun and delicious. the amuse, fried chicken, focaccia, and beef with sides were also delicious. And loved the rose brut and champagne sorbet ending - perfect cap on a great meal. Will definitely be back hopefully sooner than later!

One of the gentlemen in the Sperryville gallery told me to come here for a cocktail. As you can see in my pictures the view is impeccable and I lucked out with a sunset cocktail from the bar area. The outdoor patio seating is so beautiful and the view is unbelievable. The old fashioned cocktail I had was very good, had a hint of that smoky flavor. I would definitely like to come here again for dinner with reservations. The backbar has a snack menu that is also worth stopping by for. The staff was very friendly and you have to check out the dining room, it's beautiful. Plenty of parking off front. A dinner reservation is highly recommended for the dining room. Great place for a romantic getaway.

Had a fantastic dinner here. Will admit I am not a foodie so was nervous reading the menu but everything was delicious. Highlights were the onion custard, lavash with tomato, peach and burrata cheese sauce and squab. Dining room is lovely and with only a few tables quiet and a nice atmosphere for an extended meal like this. This was not inexpensive so probably a try it once experience for me.

Oh this place. What a place. Outstanding multi-course meal with seasonal ingredients and delicious surprises throughout. The dishes are small, but don't worry - you won't walk away hungry. Don't miss ordering the ciabatta bread - yes, you have to pay extra, but it's worth it. My favorite dish was the Charleston "ice cream" - a sweet corn risotto with caviar. For dessert, I'm still thinking about the french fry ice cream - how can we make that a permanent menu item? Arrive early and stroll through the wide outdoor space overlooking the river and vineyard before enjoying an unforgettable meal. You go, Blue Rock.

We visited Blue Rock Inn (the previous name) several years ago, when it was under previous ownership and when we heard it was purchased, updated, re-opened and had a great chef, we really wanted to visit again! So, we made plans with another couple to stop in for dinner on a Saturday, but the other couple backed out last minute and the dinner reservations were somehow canceled, even though we still planned on being there... so, we showed up for drinks on the back patio and were so fortunate to score Cassie as our server!! Cassie was not only very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, she made sure that even though we only planned on being here for a couple of rounds of drinks and a snack, it was the best we've ever had! They have an interesting menu loaded with great small bites and we opted for their home made ciabatta with chili butter and it was outstanding! We also enjoyed some cocktails from their well-crafted cocktail menu, as well as some wine. They offer an interesting and eclectic wine list here. One of our favorite things was the amazing comfort and view from their back patio! They replanted the vineyard, which was ripped out by the previous owners and this new vineyard is being managed by the amazing Karl from the nearby Quivremont Winery. These vines made a very nice backdrop for a beautiful drinking/dining experience, with the amazing Blue Ridge Mountains in the far background! Overall, we were so happy to be here and enjoyed every bit of our visit! We would have stayed for dinner, had our original dinner plans not been cancelled by the reservation staff here (actually, our friends canceled and I called right after to just get a table for 2 instead of 4, but was told they already gave away the table). We'll definitely come back in the near future to enjoy dinner!! I would highly recommend Blue Rock to those visiting (or living in) the area!!

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant with beautiful views of pond and countryside. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in our mouths. We dHighly recommend!

Bar tender recommend this drink and it was perfect. What a view!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every wine tasting experience, especially the Triple Threat with cheese and chocolate, and have gained an incredible amount of knowledge on wine, charcuterie building and combining with various foods! Didn't know grapes actually do not go with wine! Our suite was lovely and so comfortable it was difficult to leave, especially with serene views of the mountains! The variety of wine is countrywide, many from female winemakers, from locals and made at Little Washington Winery. We bought a case with a variety, including their Meritage Masterpiece "George". The weekend getaway had plenty of wine tastings in a very welcoming home with plenty of areas to kick up the feet and relax. Carl's dinner recommendation to The Blue Door was also appreciated as we enjoyed the romantic outdoor dinner with beautiful flavorful entrees (especially the lamb chop!) and desserts! Thank you Carl and Donna for an amazing experience we hope to have again with you in the future!

It was a chilly day and we followed the instructions to ring the bell when we were outside. Shout out to the folks here who provide the cute cat with a heated blanket to lay on during cold weather. Members of the staff quickly came by to let us in and we walked into a empty sitting area. To be fair, it was around 3:00pm on a Wednesday. The vibe inside is eclectic, homey, and comfortable. We grabbed a seat at a table near the fire. We had time to review menu. I picked a classic Whiskey Sour and my Mom got one of their warm whiskey cocktails. Both of us really enjoyed ours. We sipped and savored them and just enjoyed a bit of a respite from our road trip. We both got a bottle of their whiskey to take home with us. These aren't your standard whiskeys and they are definitely more expensive than what you'd probably get in the liquor store. We've been enjoying our purchases at home since our visit. Copper Fox is a nice stop and I'd recommend it to folks wanting a break and a beverage.
