Excellent experience! We had dinner here Saturday and we were all very pleased with the food and the service. I had the Mushroom bisque to start, everyone else had the French Onion soup special. My bisque was SO decadent. I opted for the cup but wished I had ordered a bowl....I would get that again and again. Apparently the French Onion soup was a big hit as well. As for dinner, my husband had the Center cut Filet medallions over mashed potatoes and spinach which he said was AMAZING - the beef was so tender he could cut it with his fork, and he said the demi-glace was fantastic. My father in law had the Smoked Brisket dinner which also came with mashed potatoes along with Broccoli. I had the Salmon over Gouda grits with Broccoli as well. The broccoli was steamed perfectly, the salmon was cooked to perfection and the grits were delicious. We all devoured our meals and said that we would come back again. They also have a nice wine list...if you are a cab fan I highly recommend the Quilt Cabernet. Next time we hope to save some room for dessert. read more

This is just a lovely addition to the Chardon Square. I came here for brunch last Saturday, and was delightfully surprised with the fun and fresh brunch menu. I had the Eggs Benedict- it was delicious. Fresh ham, soft English muffin, fluffy poached eggs, and a bright hollandaise is what I was presented with. Simply lovely and well-executed. My dining partner had the chicken and waffles- again, it was delicious. Well-seasoned and moist fried chicken breast on top of a scrumptious waffle. Everything is appropriately priced and the portions are perfect. I strongly recommend this place for a Saturday or Sunday brunch with friends or fam. read more

It's just okay. Nothing spectacular. Crab cakes - not so good. Burger was nice although a bit on the salty side. But the fries! C'mon. Wimpy and wormy. Not a crispy one in the bunch. Stopped here for a lunch with my picky eater child. We got to sample the champagne mushroom bisque cause she thought it sounded weird. Within 5 minutes she was destroying a bowl of it! Any place that can get an 8 year old to eat mushrooms gets my vote! Portions were generous ( we also ordered the roasted root vegetable salad and kids chicken fingers both delicious ) service was great, place was clean with rad decor. Worst meal I've had since I moved to Chardon. They forgot half our order and overcooked all our food we actually received. The brisket was absolutely inedible--literally couldn't even chew it. Vegetables weren't even cooked. I like my vegetables crunchy but not still frozen. My husband's fries were dripping water condensation, so those were inedible too. The burger bun was mushy and gross. Not acceptable. I support restaurants during COVID, tip into excess whenever I can ... but this place doesn't deserve it. read more

Ambiance is cute, be careful not to get a table practically blocking the entrance door. People stand over you while you eat and you get a consistent draft when the door is open. Wait staff was very nice, but, dressed like they're just off another work job, paint on their hands and very slow, or overwhelmed at times with big gaps in service. Food was pricey, but not tasting pricey. It's very average quality meat, tough in spots and not showing me a lot of $20 to $30 per plate to sit in that range. They tend to pour light, regardless of what you get. Cute place, nice staff, just not quite what we expected for the price. It's like a gussied-up Applebee's quality for way more money. They have hope, with some basic execution and better quality beef. read more

Had lunch there on Tuesday. We both had the pulled pork wrap. It was super good. They put slaw in the wrap with bar-b-que pork and an Asian Sauce. The fries tasted like fresh cut and they were great. The prices were right. The wait staff was cordial and answered all our questions. The interior is tastefully decorated. I would add a few more lights because it seemed a little dark. The wife and I had a great lunch and I am sure we will be returning soon. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal in a clean establishment at a reasonable price. read more

I have been here twice now. I've haven't been overly impressed either times I have come here, but nothing has been bad either. I got the veggie sandwich the first time. It was very simple and lacked some flavor. It felt like something I could have easily made at home. The second time I came here I got the chicken caprese salad. This is a fantastic place on Chardon square! The decor is artistic, the staff is helpful and the food is delicious. The veggie sandwich is flavorful and shoestring fries are crispy and perfectly seasoned. The penne dish with garlic and olives in a robust tomato sauce was heavenly! We ordered the Maple Bourbon Glazed Brussel Sprouts as a starter: deconstructed with bacon bits, locally harvested maple syrup and homemade red onion pickle. YUM ! We also had the Grilled Tuscan Flank Steak (medium rare: came out perfect), Baby Kale Caesar salad, Seared Sea Scallops and Seared Bay of Fundy Salmon. The risotto with the scallops was perfect, the grits that came with the salmon creamy and the broccoli steamed to perfection. Everything was delicious and the portions just right: the 3 of us could share " best cheesecake you've ever had". The food and service were wonderful. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our food was simply fantastic. It looked as good as it tasted. We had asiago chicken for our meal, and the glazed brussel sprouts were amazing. I never thought I'd eat brussel sprouts, but gave them a try based on the description. Dined here recently on a recommendation during the maple festival and found my meal to be a bit underwhelming. My date enjoyed hers. While we were seated expeditiously, we had to ask for a server after being ignored for over 10 minutes afterwards, and they were not busy. Overpriced for an average meal at best. read more

Nice little spot, we were looking for a burger and it delivered. was very well cooked to order. The slaw is fantastic (add to burger). Staff was polite and prompt. Would recommend if you're looking for a quiet place with good food. Only down side is the price $15 for a plain burger. read more

This was my second visit to this restaurant. The food is good but the waitstaff needs some attention. On both occasions the service was slow.... we had to ask for bread and when it came the white rolls could have been used for hockey pucks. Their food is awesome, but they need to train their waitstaff to be more attentive to diners needs... wish them good luck. read more

First time here. Nice atmosphere, not too loud. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Gazpacho soup wonderful. Fried chicken sandwich great. I had high hopes for this restaurant however, there were a few tell tale signs that indicated problems. First, at 3 pm on a Friday both my friend and I, independently, were able to secure reservation for 4 that evening at 7pm which on a Friday, is prime time! We arrived and found only 2 others dining but quite a few employees hanging out at the bar. Waitress was friendly and we immediately ordered drinks and 2 appetizers. Drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive but the appetizers, 55 minutes and never once did the waitress stop by to check in. We had already decided we would have dinner elsewhere and were ready to cancel the order about the same time the plates arrived. Calamari with Wasabi sauce was tough and served with a dipping sauce that had no wasabi in it (mayo forward with a hint of horseradish maybe?) and the fried Brussels were in fact a shaved salad drowning in a maple syrup sauce. The menu had several dinner items that had caught my interest but it would be hard for me to be excited about a return visit. read more

We visited just after they opened. The staff is excellent, friendly and accommodating. They asked if we had any suggestions and we told them it was kind of loud and a little too bright inside. The food was excellent however the lobster bisque wasn't as good as I had hoped. I would definitely recommend Element 41 and will go back again read more
