Before Covid this was my favorite nail shop. Now under new management. After my daughter got her second vaccine, we went for Mani/pedis. My daughter is 19. She doesn't always go to the nail shop. She isn't as savvy with the lingo. That should not matter. She wanted a full set of acrylic and a pedi. To my dismay, the former tech from a nail shop that I stopped going to because HE was rude and sloppy on technique was her tech. Along with a sullen girl who may be the new manager. Mr Rude started upselling my daughter on a gel pedicure. He didn't realize that we were together. I didn't want him to do it (based on prior interaction). I said no just regular. Some how that meant to the duo, don't shape her toe nails. Just stick her acrylics crooked on the nail bed and don't push back her cuticles. I saw my daughter (who is far more patient with bad service) looking sad. When she showed both of them her crooked nail, they told her she needed to pay more for her cuticles! He also tossed her sandals roughly on the floor. Despite her having an appointment, they both rushed off to do other clients. I won't return. Bad service and rudeness is absolutely unacceptable. Ehh. Not the best but not the worst I've ever had as far as a mani/pedi. The worst part of it all was the main chic that took over finishing my manicure after she rushed the guy along that had been taking care of me. She was already onto the other clients mentally before my nails we polished or I had paid. Literally grabbing and shoving my hands all over the place so she could rush me out the door. Better yet, she knew this was my first time there. Guess she doesn't care about building a clientele. None the less, if I need a quick, cheap pedi, I'd go back. NEVER GOING BACK!!! I went for a pedicure on Sunday (January 22), and the woman was coughing and sneezing all over my feet; and wiping her nose on the back of her hands. She wasn't even doing a good job, she didn't buff my nails she buffed the skin of my toes, and she cut my big toe on one foot. She ended up getting me sick, on top of it all. The only reason I didn't leave is because I took my little sister; who ended up having a terrible experience as well. She said the guy doing her pedicure had no idea what he was doing. I would never ever go to this place again, I have been to many many Asian nail salons. This place is very dirty, the employees don't clean it they sit around and play on their phones my nail tech filed my finger and I know that that happens but it got infected and then when I went into tell her she denied ever touching my skin with the file. I have had it happen by many nail techs and they just say they're sorry ..... this lady did it and totally denied doing it and now I have a very infected finger and she claims to have never done it in her life. I'd like to start off that this took place last year. I'm not sure what happened, compared to everyone else's reviews. Did we go the wrong day? Because this place was not very friendly or good. I went with a friend for a mani pedi and the only people working were two asian guys and a small Asian woman (which is fine, and usually expected). We both had the guys who at first were nice and making funny jokes until their jokes became more insulting and less funny. By time we got to the manicure we were just annoyed by the things they were saying. What was the most upsetting though was that we went here specifically because they advertise that they can do all of these cool designs and they apparently couldn't do much of anything. I asked for leopard print with a red bow and the guy only knew what leopard print was because the only other customer there was wearing a leopard print shirt. I guess he did good for not knowing but it wasn't the greatest. Then my friend wanted a batman symbol on her thumbs and the guy she had said no, he wasn't going to do it. Not that he couldn't, just that he wasn't going to. And then he said "you guys expect us to put these things on such a small place and it's not really possible" which is total crap! They ended up charging over 100 for my nails because I got the design and I felt bad for my friend because she was paying and couldn't even get the design she wanted. I have came here a few times and each time it seems to get worst. First off all the employee speaks in their language so it feels like they are talking about me (kinda annoying). Secondly, unless you have an appointment with a specific person, there is never one individual that works on your nails, the employees tend to jump around to different clients (feel like you are not important). If this place wants to be successful, I suggest the manager or owners to tell their employees to start speaking english and finish the customer they started with instead of passing them around. Overpriced. Their most basic pedicure is $17. Everything else is $30+. A full set for $30? No! Seriously, go somewhere else for a full set and come here for a fill. At least those are competitively priced at around $20. Under normal circumstances, I would have given a one, but the first time I went (this was my second), things went a little better; however, my nails (I get acrylics) did not look all that great. Went in this morning and told the manager (perhaps she's the owner) that the pink parts (I get pink and white) had funny lines in them, which I've never seen before. She suggested I get a whole new set, not a backfill and said she'd get the old stuff off quickly by clipping - not soaking. Now, I've had this done before with zero discomfort, so was ok with it. I had to stop her within minutes because it felt like she was trying to tear off the acrylic by force-thought she would tear my own nail off. She kept going until I had to get firm with her to stop. She started me with soaking and then passed me off to Susan, who had done my nails the first time I was there. First, she was going to start putting a new set in before all of the acrylic was off...had to tell her to keep soaking and filing. I'm not sure how many full sets Susan's done, but this is the WORST job I have ever seen. She put on way too much acrylic and then she acted like she had finished -putting her stuff away for me to go wash my hands and I showed her that the acrylic was all ridged and the pink had areas where the white was not a smooth line and was dipping into the pink. That's when she started talking in a pissy voice in Vietnamese to the gal next to her-totally rude. Then-she literally pours 10X the amount of oil into my hands (not the nail beds where it should go) and said, "go wash your hands" in a rather unfriendly way. Also, the nails are in different shapes-some are too rounded, some squared!Then she acted like she wasn't going to put the clear polish on, as she was getting up...I asked her what about the clear...so she put on one coat (should have done 2). ABSOLUTELY the worst experience I have ever had. I will be making the drive back to north Scottsdale to the place I'd been going to prior to moving to this area. read more

The lady that I've been going to for pedicures for the past 3+ years had to take a leave of absence for at least 6 weeks and I needed to find a back-up, so this was my first visit to this salon. There was a friendly greeting when I walked in and I was able to get a pedicure right away (around 3:00 pm Saturday). My nail tech was efficient and thorough and didn't try to up-sell other services. I got the "Express Pedicure" - nail trim, cuticle removal, bottom foot scrub and hot towel treatment. There were several colors of polish to choose from and a few different brands (I prefer OPI and there was a huge selection in that brand). I especially appreciated that there wasn't a lot of chatter in a foreign language. If my regular pedicurist isn't able to return to work, Elegant Nails will definitely be my new first choice. read more

I wanted to get my nails done but I wanted some place close to my house anyways I went down the road and found this place when I went in I was greeted by I think the owner because she was ordering everybody around anyways the place was packed I think I went in on a Saturday evening it was packed but she informed me she would get me soon but boy was she right about that she had another girl take over the pedi she was.doing and came over and started to do my acrylic full set neways after I came in all these customers were walking though the door and I think they were her regulars or something because while she was buffing my nails she was talking them and not paying attention to grinding that file into my skin and making me.bleed all the implents she was using on me have not been clean which to me.is disgusting to me because I'm a hair stylist and it's state board rules you need to soak those files and.clean nail drills after ever use she did.not do that she was in such a hurry to get her regulars and rushed through my nails and used dirty tools on nails I'm just warning people that most of these chop shops use dirty tools and they have had health reports for some serious skin infections due to dirty spas that they are suppose to clean with disinfectant after every use and they don't because that day she was in rush that she put peoples feet in two of those dirty foot spas without cleaning them first it was so gross she finished my nails after about 25 mins I wanted these pretty flower tips but they did not look pretty at all my nails were.filed unevenly and.the acrylic powder wasnt patted right and there were air bubbles in my nails and they fell off two days later i spent $60 on this and left her a $7 tip I guess I'm too nice :( but don't be a fool like me read more

My teenage daughters and I had manicure and pedicures here. Very pushy in trying to upsell and after being asked 5 times i was annoyed. My daughter had designs on her nails and it was $20 extra and they were not satisfactory. They smeared when they tried to correct around the design and we were still charged full price. They were so bad she opted to paint over them once we got home. Several people came in while we're having our nails done inquiring on the pricing and zero stayed. This is my first time coming here after reading great reviews online about this place. But let me tell you that the experience was horrible. The employee Jennifer that did my nails didnt seem like she knew what she was doing, I had gotten gel nails put on which usually last about 2 to 3 weeks and her set only lasted a couple of days and fell off. I am very disappointed with the way she did them and will not come back or recommend anyone to her at all. read more
