Maybe this place has new management since previous Yelpers' reviews/tips, because I had a nice experience. Pedicure. Latest OPI colors, modern, functioning massaging chairs. I was greeted (and seated) immediately upon entering. I watched every employee clean and sterilize equipment, and wash their own hands. The salon itself was spotlessly clean. While I was there, three regular customers came and went, and each was greeted by name and/or with person inquiries like, "How was your grandson's play?" or, "Hi, Donna; where's your daughter today?" The only downside was that you can't add a tip to your charge slip. Though that's typical in many salons, so I was prepared and had cash. read more

This place was horrible. I do not recommend going here at all. Andy was in charge of giving me a full set and I came in a great mood willing to wait to be attended. He did a horrific job. He seriously rolled his eyes at me when I said I wanted coffin shaped nails and said "no, not with gel polish" and I asked why and he said "too much money" as if I could not afford it. I was highly offended and paid too much for the horrible treatment I was given. The pictures should speak for themselves. I hate that I have to give this place two stars because they were so nice and very friendly! The salon was really clean, they made Covid accommodations so that customers felt much safer. They had the normal mask on, they built plastic barriers, and went extra lengths to ensure safety. However, the quality of my nails is below average! I showed the nail tech a picture of what I wanted - length and shape. The final product isn't close to the photo. They set me an appointment at 6:00pm and they close at 7:00pm. I appreciate them working past their closing time but if you give me an appointment time of 6:00pm and knew I needed a full set then you should be okay working past close. I felt towards the end the tech was rushing and you can definitely tell looking at the quality of my nails. So I found this little gem one day during lunch and needed a fill-in. Since that day I've gone back 5 times in a row for my fill-ins. It's always nice and quiet, never crowded. I've gone on lunch, and after work on a Friday, still very quiet, clean, and never crowded. The techs get the job done in a timely fashion, and are super friendly. I've been to nails shops before where I sit down and there is no verbal exchange outside of picking my nail color, going to wash my hands, and paying my money. I will say that this is the first nail shop that I've been to that they don't wipe your gel nails with alcohol afterwards. I notice that my polish doesn't maintain that shiny finish because of this. However, to avoid waiting and wanting a friendly experience then I will continue to visit this shop and recommend it. read more

What a great experience! It was quiet and inviting. It was a nice experience to be able to have my nails done and not have tons of people yelling or screaming around me. They provide a pleasant environment with music or television. They are kind and efficient. Their prices are less than around the area and they do a much better job. Gosh I don't know where to start it was so horrible! I was greeted with friendly staff but then sat in the pedicure chair for an hour and a half before my session. Please note there was only two other people in their store at this time. The man doesn't do a very good job and I asked for the $45 pedicure massage treatment let's just say it wasn't worth the money. And had I known they don't sterilize their instruments they simply just scrub them off in the sink and set them on a towel to dry I would have walked out of there immediately. Completely grossed out! Those metal items need to be autoclaved/sterilized. Their skills are below standard for their pricing. Only came here bcuz I was given a gift card. The place is picked up but counters and pedicure tub are yucky..not just because they are stained but because they are not cleaned of previous shavings and polish. I always tip very graciously but not today. I'll be heading back to Davinci nails where for the same money I get much better service, results and it's WAY CLEANER! read more

I looked for a nail salon for years in Indy. Couldn't find one with good pricing and great results. Stumbled upon this place and have been going there for 4 years since! One they care about their customers! They remember things about your life and like to get to know you. They do an incredible job and treat you kindly always. More importantly Tina will find you the perfect color for the season and always make sure you're happy! Not to mention they're fast! First time going here and first time getting a set. The lady was super nice and prices were fair. However, she cut both my thumb cuticles and one other finger with the nail sander. This is 2 days later and they are still very sore. Be careful if you're choosing this nail salon. read more

I got a pedi and it was so horrible I created a Yelp account just so I could write a review. I'm not one to complain and I don't expect my nails to be perfect but this is ridiculous. Not only are my nails themselves all choppy and uneven but the paint is all lumpy, and outside the edges on some and not covering parts of others. I asked her to fix them multiple times but she just kept layering on more polish each time I asked her to fix something making it worse. I finally said can you please just take it off and start over but she just took it off one of the worst nails and thinned down the polish and when she put it on it was a lighter color than the others because it was so watered down. I pointed that out so she just applied another layer making it all gunky and streaky. At this point she seemed irritated so I gave up on asking her to fix them. I honestly wanted to speak to a manger but didn't want to create a scene so I paid and left. Never going back ever. read more

The service was nice and was able to get in quickly. The staff were personable. However, my nails look terrible. I came in for a mani with French tip gel. I'm leaving with the gel stuck to my fingers, my natural nails are filed at an angle and not straight with some sharp edges. When she was filing my nails it was painful. The emery board was rubbing the skin off my cuticles. Now they look red and irritated. There is a hair fiber stuck in one nail. The tips all have a translucent edge due to the liquid nail remover getting too close. The tips are different sizes of thickness. Some white tips are thin and some are thick. My thumb nail is filed way in on one side which looks unnatural and crooked. There are tiny bubbles in the gel. I'm very displeased with this manicure. Waste of money. Debating to go somewhere else to have my nails fixed. Needless to say... I won't be back. read more

The owner did my nails and hit me on the hand three times with the emery board. When I asked him why he was hitting me he said "relax." I told him to please tell me and not hit me. Unfortunately rude behavior continued. This was the worse experience I have ever had getting my nails done. read more

CHOP, CHOP SHOP!! 05/28/2012 - (2) of us signed in with service requested (no acknowlegment for 15+ min) then one of the male employees demanded he was followed to chair for pedicure (neither of us were having this done) sat back down for 10+ min then when my woman employee came to get me the only time she talked was to askk if I wanted my nails cut down (uh, no it takes a long time to get this short length, she then proceeds to clip off the length and when I told her no she said yes it helps them grow better next time)!!! The salon is very clean, and the owners (Tina and Andy, who are ALWAYS there) take great pride in their business. They do a great job of consistently updating with new equipment. Worst manicure experience I have ever had, Cathy was tech. While the place looked immaculate and professional her manicure left me with all uneven nails and when I politely asked if she was done or was waiting to attend to the cuticles she gestured for me to hold out my hands whereupon she held up a large bottle of generic lotion and pumped two squirts of lotion into my palm and then gestured for me to rub my hands together!!! read more

EXTREMELY disappointed in my gel french manicure. They are uneven, there are bubbles on the white tips, and my 4 year old could have done a better job. Also, when I went back in to have them re-done, the woman who originally did them was RUDE and not helpful in any way. I was so disgusted that I wasted $50, I walked out after she said she 'couldn't fit me in.' Just got a mani pedi at this place for the first time. I've been trying to find a nail salon that is reliably good in this area and was hoping this was it. Unfortunately it's not. The woman who did them ( I won't give her name) says she works there 7 days a week because she is either one of the family members who own it, or else she's just their most relied-upon employee who has to be sure everything is run the way they expect (I had a hard time understanding her English on this point). So I was hoping I would get a very good mani- pedi. However, my nails look like they were painted by a blind person; nail polish does not go all the way to the edge of the nail bed on some of my fingernails, and on others she smeared the polish beyond the edges. She never tried to neaten up the edges at all, seeming to be in a big hurry even though there were no customers waiting. As she filed my nails she left several rough edges on the underneath side of the nail, which I pointed out to her and she sort of fixed. She did only slightly better on my pedicure. I should have asked that my manicure be re-done but didn't want to make a scene. As I sat under the hand dryer the woman next to me related that it was her first visit here too and she wouldn't be coming back. It is so aggravating to end up with a sloppy manicure that looks worse than I ever do on my own at home, and had to pay money for to boot. I would have marked zero stars but Yelp must require at least one star in order to post. read more

DO NOT GO. I was so disappointed in their service but was so ready to leave I didn't even say a word. As my mom & I walked through the door, we saw the owners (Tina & Andy) sitting in the customers waiting area on their iPads watching shows with their pet dog, they did not greet us & did not seem happy to see us. The woman that did my nails did the worst job I have ever seen. I asked for a new set for my nails. Every woman that has ever gotten nails taken off & put back on knows that after you take the old set off you have your real nails trimmed and cleaned up a little bit before putting a new set on. Nope, not here. After she cut the old set and pulled them off my real nails were all jagged and sharp, they looked and felt horrible & were so long. The women didn't even trim them... she went ahead and starting gluing the new set on. I was so confused. While gluing them on she put one on completely sideways, confused I told her "that doesn't look right, I think it's a little crooked" as polite as I could (I always feel uncomfortable that I might be hurting their feelings) & she told me "your finger is just crooked." Wait, what???? Never in my life has anyone put on my nails crooked, probably because my finger isn't. I mean if my finger was pointing north the fingernail she glued on would have been pointing completely NW, not exaggerating the least bit. After she put them on she didn't file them down to make them more thin so they don't look like thick chunky blocks on your fingers (again, every woman knows this) & she did not take off the extra glue under my finger nails, it was very irritating. Also, the paint she put on you could see all of the brush strokes, there was even little bubbles in the paint & she missed the sides. The WORST manicure I have ever had. The employees were so rude & not friendly. I had people laugh at my nails that saw them, they were SO BAD. Please go to Perfect Nails 10 minuets east down 96th street if you want your nails done. Hands down the sweetest people in the entire world I couldn't even put into words how much I enjoy them & their service, Elegant Nails doesn't even compete. read more
