My gel x was so nicely shaped and formed and she really took her time and made sure to ask if everything looked good or if I wanted to change anything. My pedicure was amazing as well and it's probably the best I've ever had. The two dogs are so cute and friendly! I walked in at 12:00 on a Saturday and they got me right in for a gel polish change. Was greeted and seated immediately, very friendly and such a clean atmosphere. The owner did my nails and she paid attention to the little details such as making sure there were no oils before applying the gel and taking time to really care for my cuticles. Parking was also great with a big open lot and many spots. I've been search for a home salon. IVE FOUND IT. Let me tell you. Eric and Donnie are a dream team. They are two men in there by themselves giving their service out. It's beneficial for both the customer and them to make appointments. They value their customers time and want to make it worth while. If you walk In you may have a wait but it's sooooo worth it. Without saying a word Eric saw my nails, took one look at me and whipped these beautiful claws up! I don't ever say anything is perfect in this world but these nails are PERFECT. If i could give this salon less than 1 star i would. My friend and I went into the salon and both left more than disappointed. 1) they took FOREVER and it was not because they were taking their time on our nails. 2) they were cussing and talking bad about a mother and daughter that walked in because their sign was left on after they had already closed. 3) our nails look like complete crap, the nail polish is completely off the nail and there is hair on the nails that the technician"covered" with more nail polish. 4) he broke my pinky finger nail because he did not use a tool to take off the gel polish, instead was using his crusty finger nail. I have been loyal to Eric (the owner) for about 10 years and have followed him wherever he goes. He does the best job hands down and is very quick! Don't be late or he will make you reschedule! He prefers you make an appointment which that is what I love about the place so he runs back to back appointments. He does the BEST pink and whites and make sure u get the UV coat so if u are hard on your hands it lasts rigorous work. Initially, I was pleased to have been able to call and make a same day appointment. I was scheduled to leave on a business trip the following day and had waited too late to schedule a nail appointment with my usual nail tech. Upon arrival there were two male nail techs and two customers including myself. I thanked the nail tech for accepting my appointment on such short notice and advised him of my upcoming business trip. The nail tech was not receptive of my gratitude, but I just assumed that he was not personable or might have been having a rough day. I requested to have my existing French Tip gel manicure removed and redone. The typical removal process of gel polish is done by wrapping the nails in foil and whatever solvent the use to remove the gel. It is then followed by using drill to sand off or remove the rest of the gel. The nail tech wrapped my nails in foil with the solvent, but instead of using the drill; the nail tech proceeded to remove the polish with his own nails, manually scraping off the remaining gel polish that was not removed by the solvent. I was not comfortable with this process, as it seemed to be unsanitary. I politely inquired about why he was not using the drill to remove the gel. He became annoyed and retorted that the repeated use of the drill can cause the nails to become weak. I understood what he meant, but I did not understand why he would opt to use his own nails to scrape my nails instead of a tool. I should have left at this point, but I was in such desperate need to have my nails done because my flight was scheduled to leave the next day. I allowed the nail tech proceed with the manicure. As the other nail tech was wrapping up with his client and I heard him tell her that if she were to miss her appointment her house would burn down. I thought that was a bit over the top, but I assumed that might just be their banter. The customer who was being serviced by the other nail tech eventually left and another customer had arrived and was being serviced. I could not help but overhear the conversation the other nail tech was having with the client who had arrived. He made references to his own family calling them "retarded". This made me uncomfortable, but I did not feel it was my place to be vocal about it. The nail tech who was performing the French Tip Gel Manicure was doing a very poor job at making all the the French Tips look uniform. I politely asked him to fix the nails and he again was visibly annoyed and started making noises like he was irritated that I was asking for him to correct his work. As he was putting my nails under the gel nail dryer I noticed that the polish looked "bubbly" and inquired about what could be done to fix it. The nail tech asked the other male nail tech to look at my nails. The other nail tech BARELY to a glimpse at my nails and told me that my nails were "okay". I did not agree and asked if he could take a closer look at my nails. The nail tech who was performing the service on my nails, jumped up and ran to the front desk area. Keep in mind my right hand is still wet and has not been placed under the gel nail dryer. The two of them exchange a few words in their native language. The other nail tech then advises me that I don't have to pay and that I'm free to go. At this point, I am confused and I do not understand why they are not willing to complete my nails. I explained to them that I was not there for a free service. I wanted to pay to have the service completed. The nail tech who was doing my nails advise me that my nails did not turn out right because I "was not happy with myself". I am now in disbelief. I began trying to plead with them to complete my nails as I had a business trip the following day. Both of the men begin yelling at me and demanding that I leave their shop. Keep in mind, this is all happening right in front of the other customer. I am trying my best to keep my composure. The nail tech then proceeds to tell me that "the public is sick of my kind". I asked him what he was referencing to and what he meant by "my kind." read more

Worse experience of my life. I came here because of convenience, and I was a first time customer - I endured the rudest, most vulgar, racist, and horrible treatment ever by the owner and the other nail tech present. Regretfully, I decided to overlook the first rude comment in the middle of my service, due to lack of time and needing to get my nails done soon, but after expressing dissatisfaction with the shape (which could've been easily fixed) the owner, rather than trying to fix the problem, immediately started shouting, and calling me offensive names as I sat there dumbfounded and shocked by the outrageous, out of place reaction - I was called a "stupid dumb blonde", told to "get the f. out of here!", "I'll call the police on you", along with a number of other obscenities- I was left shaken, distraught and do not wish this experience onto anyone, Ever! The owner added, "leave!! I'm being nice not making you pay" - Pay to be treated like garbage and for a service poorly done?! I do think that the police should have been called, and I regret that I wasn't the one to call them, but I could not get out of that horrible place soon enough. First off, before reading this, I would like to establish that this is hilariously one of the worst encounters I've ever had with a nail salon. I go to the store around 2:30pm, assuming that the salon would be open (I also checked Google Maps and it confirmed that the store was open). I walk up to the salon, the door is locked, but the "Open" sign was on the store front lit up. Inside, all of the lights are on, TVs running, clearly still open with no one in sight. I end up calling the store, and someone picked up immediately. Confused, I asked "Hello, I was calling to see if you guys were open." The man, who seemed profusely angry, replied "No, I am super busy right now and probably can't fit you in." I confess to him saying "I am literally outside your store right now and there is not one person in site." He then gets very defensive saying, "Well, I have a lot of people coming in soon." This is outright embarrassing. For being in a rush and having something like this happen, it's just a disgusting excuse of a "business." Go to Castleton Nails, they will hook you up. If you want to stay closed without anyone knowing next time, don't pick up the phone. read more

From prior experiences, I observed Eric, the owner, frequently talking negatively about his clients after they would leave the shop. His behavior is completely unprofessional and rude.
