Casleton Nails displayed a bit of prejudice today, when they turned me and my daughter down for service stating they were full and suggested we make appointments.... As I'm sitting in my vehicle waiting for my daughter to get her brows serviced next door from this foolish establishment, a middle aged Indian woman comes, toting and wear designer wear, to be service and they took her immediately! Didn't want to stay in there anyway due to poor ventilation and the fumes were just too overbearing!!! Do better!! And get some air flowing in this chemical box!! read more

I went in on Monday a little after 3. There was no wait, and I was greeted immediately when I walked in. Cindy told me to have a seat at her station. I requested a fill with gel polish. I showed her the photo and she helped me find the colors. I did already have gel polish with glitter on my nails and it was SO PAINFUL for her to get it off. The drill was on high speed and she drilled so hard, drilling down to my actual nail. It took a few OUCH THAT HURTS and PLEASE DON'T to get her to use the file, BUT she eventually did, and apologized. After all was said and done I love my nails, and they look similar to the photo. Obsessed! The staff here is super friendly, can talk to you about anything, and can accommodate to the design you're looking for. I was able to get a last minute appointment quickly for a Friday afternoon, which I would expect to be super busy. They also have a wide color assortment and really comfortable chairs. The prices are really reasonable ($30+ for a full set), and the work is of great quality. To top it off, the mall is right across the lot to continue treating yourself! 10/10 super great experience, highly recommend and hope to be back! read more

I recently made an appointment with this location. My appt was at 6pm after fighting rush hour traffic I arrived at 5:55pm (45 minute drive( The two people who were working had on coats preparing to leave. I informed the male I had spoken with him earlier that day and I had an appt. The lady then summoned me over and asked what did I need. I informed her one repair and polish change. She encouraged me to get a "fill", unfortunately I don't have fake nails, my nails are natural. Once she realized the services I required were not costly possibly a 20 dollar service she stood up and shook her head no. I was confused, but the man then said were are closed. So basically my appointment was not honored and I was then refused service. I have visited this business on previous occasions. But will not be returning. read more

Let's talk about Cindy. She is the owner of this nail salon and is amazing at doing nails. She gets my nails exactly how I want them and deliver is nothing short of perfection. Ever since I started going here I'll never go anywhere else. Her prices are fair service is amazing. Every year during Christmas she gives me a gift that that means a lot to me because it's some thing she does not have to do but decides to do it from the heart. They are very gracious for my business. Just an FYI you have to wear a mask in their shop all the time and you need to have an appointment unfortunately due to the limited amount of nail technicians they are unable to do walkins from what I've experienced. Stopped in for a quick polish change a little after noon on a weekday and they were dead empty. On the bright side, I was in and out very quickly. On the downside, a polish change cost $10 and I still left with smudges of polish around my nails and air bubbles on my thumb. They were good enough for a quick stop in visit, but I won't go out of my way to come here again. read more

At first I liked it here but the husband does horrible nails!! He rushes thru and doesn't even care. Cindy does okay nails but if you speak up and say you don't like something she gets a very nasty attitude. I always call and schedule an appointment however today the husband asked me what time I wanted to come- I told him get here ON TIME and walk in and Cindy is working on someone else. I made an appointment with them the day before for 6pm the next day. When the next day approached I was running late due to traffic and getting off work but I called and said I'd be there around 6:15-6:20. Whoever picked up said "no problem" and they would wait. When I get there I get to the front door and the woman who was scheduled to do my nails has her coat on ready to leave. I told her I was there for my 6:15 appointment and all she said was ready to go. Mind you, they close at 7pm on weekdays. It was 6:20pm. I live in Chicago so I don't get there too often but when I do I get the warmest welcome when I walk in the door...they know me by name. If you become a regular they even make you a box [with your name on it] with your own person tools! I'm box number 44 ;). Now, some may be wondering why I only gave them four stars...Well, the owners mother works in the salon and she is the WORST! I love her but she can't work on my feet and hands. Literally the worst nail salon I have ever been to. The tech ripped my nail off and acted as though it was perfectly for me to be bleeding in multiple places. I told her ahead of time that we would need to soak my nails in acetone to get them off, but she felt it was best not to listen. Afterwards she blamed me, saying that my nails were too thin. I ordered a regular manicure and was charged for gel(twice as much money) when I told them this was incorrect they blamed me for not knowing that the drying machine used means "gel"and that I should have told them that was wrong. ??? Didnt kno that was my job to know this. The girl then proceeded to lie to her boss saying that she did ask me if I wanted gel and that I said yes (which did not happen at all) I'm not mad that they made a mistake I'm mad that they did not make it right. I typically go to the same salon but I went to Castleton Nails with a 9-year-old that I babysit since it was near her home. I wanted a gel manicure and a regular manicure for the 9 y/o, manager said it would be $20 for gel and $14 for regular mani. Totally thrilled about that. However once I finally sat down it almost seemed like the lady had no clue what she was doing. Was scraping off old gel with a blade! After that she kept smudging up my skin with the polish and was VERY rude when I accidentally bumped my nail before it dried. She didn't even complete all the steps. Then 9 y/o smudged her thumb by accident (she is a child!?) and the woman was angrily shaking her head. She didn't even smooth out the nail she merely painted over it... Leaving a huge chunk of polish on the thumb. I could do a bad job at home, I don't pay people to do a bad job for me. So then I go to pay and she says its $30 for mine -- even though the manager told me $20!!!! I was pissed. So I walk out after only to see my nails in sunlight which definitely needed another coat of polish and she completely missed the edges of my nails OR got it on my skin. Definitely never going back there again. Waste of time and money. read more
