Absolutely amazing! My husband and I met with Jennifer before our wedding to go over what we wanted for dessert options. I received my birthday cake from this place and it was nothing of what I had asked for. It was supposed to be in the shape of a coffee mug. It wasn't. It was just a round cake. It was supposed to be pink. It had a slight and I mean slight tinge of pink. You couldn't even tell what the color was until you looked up close. My name wasn't even centered and the icing completely fell apart once you cut into the cake. How you can possibly justify charging that much for that this is completely beyond me. We used Jennifer at Elegance on Display for our wedding "cake". We opted for cupcakes in a variety of flavors, with filling and a small top tier for cutting. The top tier was surrounded by a row of cake balls (basically cake pops without the stick) Every different aspect of our overall "cake" was delicous, moist and looked FANTASTIC!!! Everyone at the wedding raved about how awesome the flavors were. They have a great deposit policy on stands where they don't charge anything but a deposit. If the stand is returned the deposit goes right back to you. Jennifer even made us a little bonus cake that matched our top tier to serve as our one year cake. Sadly it did not make the trip home as we were married out of state but the thought was very appreciated!! We did our research and looked for an affordable bakery to do our dessert bar at Paradise Falls. Jennifer and her team were easy to work with from the start. We scheduled our tasting very easily on a weekend. We tried EVERYTHING we wanted to try. They delivered the desserts to our venue where the dessert bar was beautifully displayed. We brought the leftover desserts back to our hotel after and it was so nice to have the desserts in the evening to snack on. Everything was great, but the brownies were a crowd favorite!!!! I had a really mixed experience with Jennifer. Let me explain... She did my wedding cake for my wedding - she was the preferred vendor at my wedding site so I went with her. When I first spoke with her she was really really good at getting back to me within a day or quicker, so that was great. I had no problem setting up a tasting with her either. The tasting was fine - I am not a huge cake person so I had no problem w the taste of it. I wanted to do a custom design on the cake so it matched my overall theme and invites. The overall cake was fine, but getting a sample drawing took way too long. She is a little disorganized and I feel it is because she is so busy. She said she was in the process of getting an assistant and I hope she did because that would save her a lot in the long run. My BIGGEST problem with her was my grooms cake. My husband is from Orange County and I am from St. Louis and we are both big fans of their baseball teams. So I wanted to do a cake the displayed both the Angels and Cardinals logos. I told Jennifer I didn't care how she did it - baseball field, hat, ball, etc, I just wanted to logo. Day of the wedding, I got a cake that was a blank baseball. I didn't see it until later, but had I seen it before, I would have removed it. It was just terrible. It looked like a cake from Vons for a 5 year olds bday. Even a few of the guests commented that they didn't get the cake. I told Jennifer and she offered to give me my money back and admitted she had messed up, but it wasn't about the money. She had given me the wrong cake and it was on a day that I won't get to repeat. It's unfortunate that the ONE thing I asked for very specifically didn't happen - I wasn't picky about the cake, just needed team logos. If I could do it all over again, I would have gone with someone else for this. read more

Working with Jennifer, the owner, was a total nightmare. Like many other Yelpers are saying she is rude, unprofessional, and clearly lacks business ethics. Elegance on Display was the vendor for cakes for our venue. We added a cake to our package so we had no choice, but to go with Elegance on Display. From the beginning it was brutal. It was difficult to get an appointment. When we finally did the woman, not Jennifer, who helped us was friendly and a joy to work with. We told her our count was about 100. That put us at a 3 tiered cake. We agreed that we wanted to add another tier, making it 4 tiers, an additional $28 (4 inch top tier) After our initial consultation I emailed Jennifer letting her know we definitely wanted the cake to be 4 tiers and also wondering about a grooms cake. Her responses took a long time and when they did finally happen were very short answers. Her emails were lacking any professionalism at all. I had many normal questions about the groom's cake like how big was it going to be, price, etc. All the responses seemed as if I was annoying her. So, I refused to give her the business and went elsewhere. As it came time to give our final count, it had gone down to 83. Jennifer called me one morning at 9am and without any real introduction asking what our final count was as our venue was only going to pay for that. I knew this and wouldn't expect them to do anything more for us. However, we had already told her we would pay for anything extra. Suddenly her price raised from $3.50 to $4.00 a slice and we were going to owe some outrageous amount- $80 additional dollars. When I challenged her on the phone she began to get upset and was all over the place. I called her back later that day to ask her some questions after I realized she was over charging us. It basically went as well as the first conversation and after I called her out on it she asked why I hadn't let her know I was given a different per slice price prior. She must have not listened to anything in our prior conversation because I mentioned it a good 5 times. I decided to write her an email detailing everything and telling her because our wedding was just days away we had no choice, but to go with her and pay her extra fee. She responded, knocked off $10, and neglected to really comment on anything that she was in the wrong for. The day came and I saw the cake. The flavors were all good. Cake looked nice. My only complaint was that I wanted fresh flowers on top of the cake. I don't know if this was Jennifer's fault or the florist. I was very specific with Jennifer so considering the previous issues we had she could have taken the initiative to make sure it was done and of course if it was her job she should have done it anyways. Elegance on Display was the preferred cake vendor for the venue we booked. At the cake tasting, the cakes were not as moist as we had expected, but the flavors were definitely there. So we chanced it and were so glad we did because the cakes the day of were so good! We decided to go with cupcakes for our wedding, so that we could get a large variety of flavors. This was THE BEST decision we made! Our actual wedding cake and cupcake tower looked so good! The mini cupcakes were so friggin delicious and moist, that we were sad my sister didn't save us more! Whipped frosting was definitely the way to go. Perfectly sweet! We got a ton of flavors: strawberry, banana, spiced, chocolate, apple, the list goes on...Our favorite was actually the german chocolate cake cupcake...moist and delicious! This will probably be our 1-year flavor of choice! Tips for the cupcake tower: get wallpaper instead of gift wrapping paper for that textured look. Jennifer was really helpful and flexible. This business deserves 100 stars! COVID really brought out the true colors of many businesses- being a COVID bride I have dealt with it all. My wedding was scheduled to be 4/5/2020 with over 200 guests and was cancelled for obvious reasons. Elegance on Display was the cake/ dessert company that I had the privilege of working with through my all inclusive venue (I won't go into detail about how horrifying my experience with the venue was because I want to keep this review as positive as possible). Our dessert tasting was lovely! Everything was DELICIOUS and truly elegant- the most difficult part of the tasting was choosing between the many different options of adorable tasty mini deserts and mouth watering cake options. After helping us choose our minis for the desert bar, Jennifer went above and beyond to accommodate our every wish as she guided us through designing the custom wedding cake of our dreams. Sadly that dream never became a reality; the year following what should have been my wedding was spent in litigation with my venue who refused to refund any of our full payment. Jennifer checked in frequently and ensured we knew our dreamy desserts were waiting for us whenever and wherever we eventually ended up having our wedding. After a year long nightmare of fighting to get our money back, we were to exausted and disheartened to plan a new wedding. As more time passed we decided having a big wedding may not be for us. We wanted a dessert bar for our wedding. We really liked the opinions Elegance on Display had. And when we went in for the tasting, we were not disappointed. Everything was so yummy. We had a variety of tarts, pies, chocolate strawberries, cannoli, cupcakes, and a small wedding cake. Our cake was a yellow cake with custard and fruit on top, and let me just tell you, it was absolutely amazing. For everything we got, I was surprised how affordable it was too.
