Super great find couldn't ask for better service. She was quick to respond. Easy to work with great communication gave me options for exactly what I was looking for. Was very clear on different flavor options that were available easy pick up easy payment I could keep going on about the great service, but let's talk about the main attraction which was the cake made amazingly for my son's 18th birthday. Great color great flavor was a big hit at the party. Honestly should've got a bigger size. I look forward to ordering my next cake read more

Gosh, I don't know where to begin! Except " CAKES BY EMY" is just like you say their personal touch to customers Service! Was a experience I'll never forget! Looking desperately for a beautiful custom made cake the 1st time I'd ever enter acted with this family business was soo AWSOME and reassuring that everything would be just perfect by the baker & decorator herself! Was the BEST WAY TO COMFORT SOMEONE! But it was already close to closing I'd d spent su much time the 2nd day searching for the best place I could possibly Find in short notice! Because I wasn't the 1st choice to be in charge of my Sister In-laws Birthday Cake So i was under a timing belt. But our conversation went on to long to the point of just getting her personal number to sent pictures to, ID already felt the level of customer service I actually only had a vague description of what I wanted, and what I was looking for other than a great tasting cake for a The Birthday party. My a brother in Charge of all the details Hadn't even sent even a idea over to me other them the decorations will be Louis Vitton for the Birthday Party... The owner/decorator/baker herself has used Just that and obviously I'd send over photos of the decoration but Between both of us and EVEN how I felt about my Sister in-law we're all taken into consideration 1 of the most important things was she sent me some pictures of possible cakes as I sent them to my brother at work, and letting my brother be part of choosing the decision of choosing witch cake. Up until ‍ I needed to inform Of how many people the cake would be serving! That did change things and yes, proved to be challenging! BUT SHE MADE IT HAPPEN! WITHOUT CHANGING THE DESIGN MUCH AT ALL. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY THIS FONDUE CAKE WAS AMAZING EVERYONE LOVED IT AND I HAPPILY GAVE OUT HER CARDS I'D ASKED FOR! THANK YOU CAKES BY EMY! 1 MORE VERY IMPORTANT DETAIL I MUST ADD I WAS DOING ALL THIS ACROSS THE STATE. She was aware I was outta town but needed the cake to be on time. That was The hard part about trusting the bakery because I not only needed a local bakery I also needed a custom cake! And I know she cared and took into consideration what I'd said "PLEASE I NEED THIS TO BE PERFECT BECAUSE I WANTED IT TO SHOW HOW MUCH SHE REALLY MEANS TOO ME" and she did all those things And kept using her and just in that area that part of our family is a huge following! Just my Brother & Sister in-law alone have 12 adult kids! Of course there's always more more and more because there partners and the grandchildren. I don't think a month goes by that Wet don't need at least a Birthday cake.. but there's also graduations, weddings anniversaries, and all other holidays. You might need a cake for CAKES BY EMY I highly recommend i would add more stars if I could And I'm saddened I can't find the Pokémon 4 or 4 tier cake! I really need to go look for that picture also to add to my Yelp review! read more

Emy was able to come through with a last minute cake for my wife's 40th. Saved me from trying to do it myself which wouldn't have worked out well. She did such an amazing job. I just sent her picture of what I was looking for and she knocked it out of the park. It was so delicious there was nothing left by the end of the party. If I ever need a cake again I know where I'm going. read more

Emy did a great job on our daughters spring/Easter themed 5th birthday! She got all the details we requested on our cake just right! The cake decor was beautiful and just what we asked for. (Aside from being a tad dry,) the carrot cake was delicious and flavorful, the cream cheese filling was yummy and the custom flavored cinnamon swirl cupcakes were on point!! Beautiful work, we would definitely order again. See you next time Emy, thank you!! read more

I found Emy through Facebook and messaged her idea from a groom's cake. My fiance, now husband, is an avid golfer and lovers sloths, so I knew that's what his cake needed to be. She asked for some pictures of sloths for ideas. I sent those and a request for coconut grass as well. I couldn't have been more pleased when she showed up yesterday with the most AMAZING cake in tow! She went way above my expectations! The best part, it tasted even better than out looked! Thanks for making my groom and I super happy on our big day! read more

Unfortunately I went with this baker for a wedding cake because she worked out of her home and was more reasonably priced than other bakeries. Saw some of her pics..thought ok...how hard is it to make a two tier square cake and her stuff looked decent enough. I just wanted clean, linear lines, not the sloped, rounded corners on many fondant wedding cakes . That was stressed many times...as well as the ribbon to be used..matte white ribbon, not fondant ribbon. Also the beads were to be scattered and painted gold...the flower was all wrong too...and the beads were white and I received ribbon cut out of fondant. She was nice, attentive, however when it came to executing my design..it was completely off and not what we discussed. I wish I had it down in writing, every single detail even though it was discussed through multiple emails and I felt assured she would do everything as discussed. Even though she wrote" refer to picture" on the invoice, she must have forgot to include the other details in the picture or just never bothered to look at the picture again. The cake tasted good, no complaints there, but it looked amateur. If you want to compete with other bakeries, you have to step up your game and not get lazy and give me a half-assed version of the cake instead of actually looking at the photo again. I'm not knocking ppl that work from home, but the cake was the least professional, high quality presentation piece at my wedding. read more

Omg AMAZING!!! So my girl friends surprised me with a delicious cake for my bachelorette party ( sorry no pictures as you can assume the cake design was very naughty ;) but OMG the cake was beyond my expectations and the taste was phenomenal. The cake was vanilla & red velvet marble with pastry puff cream filling and it was SO MOIST and flavorful that my mouth is watering as I write this review. The girls had some ideas for the cake design and Emy nailed it, it was almost too pretty (& handsome) to eat hahaha. And when we took the first bite it was love at first bite. I would highly recommend and will definitely order again for other occasions. Thank you so much as the cake made my bachelorette party!!! read more

As I was frantic looking for a baker in Fontana, CA ( I live in Chicago, IL ) I finally found Emy on the internet. She had everything I was looking for cool designs, flavors, and availability for me to order the cake the day before my goddaughters bday. So I was so relieved to find Emy as she took my cc information over the phone and sent me a receipt via email. My only con would be that the price was a little bit more expensive than what I wanted to pay and there was a bit of a mixup at delivery, but the small problem was resolved promptly. All in all I was very happy with the final product and look forward to working with Emy next year. read more

I had a cake done by Emy and I was very disappointed. I had emailed her a very specific cake that I was looking for and asked her if she could deliver. She promised the cake would look like the picture. To my shock it looked nothing like the picture and I was embarrassed to have the cake displayed at my sons 2nd birthday party. She charged me over $200 for a disaster. When I emailed her letting her know I was totally disappointed with her product I never heard back from her. Not even an I'm sorry, or a partial refund. I would never use her again for any cake in the future. I would not refer anyone to her for her lack of professionalism and poor quality of work. read more

LIke the last reviewer, I UNFORTUNATELY went to this baker too because she was reasonably priced. I ordered a simple cake for my daughters 1st birthday, no fondant just buttercream. I sent her a picture of a full sheet (she made only a half sheet) and emailed her the details i wanted, Minnie not mickey, pink with polka dots...the result looked like a drag mickey sitting on a cake frosted by a child. It looked HORRIBLE and tasted WORSE! It was obvious she grabbed some old cake she had lying around and threw some buttercream on it. It was disgusting, dry and the minnie head was extremely hard that it was un-cuttable. Not one of my guest liked it, in fact, I had to go to the local store and buy one that was edible. I literally threw money away! It's only obvious SHE DOES NOT CARE about her email customers. She does what she wants because she knows we wont give her 'trouble' til after she's gotten her money. I emailed her my disappointment since she claims her customer satisfaction is important to her but she has ignored me. She is very unprofessional and makes me wonder how she expects to stay in business treating her customers this way. read more
