I'm new in San Bernardino area and I wanted to buy a coconut banana birthday cake. David was so kind, courteous, patient and helpful. I was puzzled when he asked me what decorations I wanted on the cake. I thought the top would be covered with coconut flakes. He asked me about my son and his interests. My particular cake for a baby shower was overdone...the edges were dry and crusty (like toast with frosting on it). Prices was $130 for a two tier cake that served 50. This bakery single handed, ruined my kid sisters 21sr birthday. About a week and half ago I went to this bakery and they were given clear pictures and instructions and the man there agreed that they could do it and reassured me. I know these cookies could be difficult but when a business tells me they can do it, I am inclined to believe them. I shouldn't have. When I picked them up he tried to give excuses of why the icing couldn't be a certain color or why it couldn't do a certain thing. I asked why would you say you could do it if not capable. Now it's the day of my sisters bday and we have nothing to show for it. He offered a refund but that's hardly the point. Also the "best" cookies were on top of the box. Ordered for delivery. And I am sad to say that we were disappointed. The chocolate chip cookies are really hard. They don't melt in your mouth. They are dry. The brownies are okay. The banana creme pie has no bananas and the pudding doesn't even taste like banana. Ordered banana bread loaf that never came. The carrot cake was bitter. TERRIBLE customer service! Wish I could give ZERO stars because they are not worth the one star. Will NEVER go back. I sent an email of the blue Adidas cake asking if they could do it. David said yes. I wanted the cake all white with red writing. He called me a day before and said they were having trouble getting the Adidas sign in red. We agreed that black would be fine. I go to pick up the cake and it looks NOTHING like the picture I had emailed over. And the black Adidas symbol was green. Instead of them cutting out the letters, they just put a picture on it like I wouldn't notice it. David was unapologetic, rude, and very unprofessional with how he handled my unhappiness with the cake. There's several other bakeries who do better work with better customer service. Trying to support a local San Bernardino bakery. Had been passing it by for quite some time now. Decided to give them a try. Walked in noticed it's very dark and gloomy inside. They have a window where you can see what's going on in the baking area. It's very disorganized and messy. We waited for a few minutes until an older gentlemen greeted us. A lady came from the baking area didn't say anything at all then disappeared back to the kitchen. So we decided to go with one cupcake 1.75. Got one coconut cupcake and one banana bread can't remember if it was 6 or 7 dollars. The coconut cupcake looked beautiful but to my surprise it was hard as a rock old and yucky. The banana bread was too sweet and I could get better at my local grocery store. Very disappointed they don't bake fresh they have old yucky baked goods that aren't good at all. If I could give zero stars I would. These were the worst baked goods we have ever had. We ordered the banana bread, but got a muffin. It had a bitter taste at the end of the first bite which indicates poorly mixed dough and over use of baking powder. The cookies were clearly stale and tasted that way. The carrot cake muffin was stale and the frosting had crusted over and cracked! The worst part was I was so looking forward to banana cream pie and there were no bananas in it; it was just banana I stand pudding in a pie crust with a cross cross of whipped cream on top. I gave specifics regarding the cake the color was suppose to be, size and even the sugar flowers. And even sent pictures showing the cake that we wanted. The day arrived to pick the cake, we pick it up not what we order the color was off it was more pink not even close to lavender, someone needs to go back to kindergarten and learn their colors. We told the owner that it was not what we wanted or not even close to the photo. It's seem like he does this very often, they do whatever they want, this happen to another friend of mine. For as many years as I can remember, we've made the 30 minute trip to San Bernardino at Christmas time just to get Noyes' Apple Bread for our neighbors and friends. Typically we purchase between five and 10 loaves because EVERYONE loved that bread. Before Christmas I called ahead to make sure they had stock, so I sent my husband on the mission to purchase the Apple Bread. Unfortunately, this year was different. When he returned, I asked what he got. He said he got the last four loaves of Apple Bread, but it sure didn't look like it to me. Instead of the delicious white icing drenched on top, there was some form of red and white crumbly stuff...no icing at all. And the loaves were VERY small. Nothing like we'd gotten before. The cost was exorbitant for the four small loaves...$42.00. I was almost embarrassed to give them out. They didn't even look good. We kept one for ourselves to try. I took a piece from the middle of loaf to give it a fair try. Sorry but it was awful. I said throw the rest away. My husband said he'd eat it but didn't really like it, so we tossed the rest of the loaf. It tasted very doughy, dry, and no soft/moist apples or taste although I saw what looked like apple bits. A week later I got a thank you from one of my neighbors stating it really wasn't necessary to give them additional loaves in the future. Obviously, they didn't like it any more than we did. Not sure if Noyes has changed hands, but I can tell you they won't be getting any more repeat business from us. I would have been better served to drop by my local market and get any type of baked good for half the cost. read more

I was looking for a gluten-free and dairy-free cake for my sons birthday at a good price. I am very glad I ran into this place last minute. I called so many places and some needed more time in advance in order to be able to fulfill my order, others were changing way too much, while others were too far with no delivery option. Well I spoke to a nice and helpful man named David who provided all the information needed for me to make a decision. He even informed me of the last day I could place the order which was just 1 week in advance. Most places wanted 2-3 weeks in advance. Anyway, I ordered vanilla cake with Bavarian cream, raspberries, and blueberries for a filling and it tasted amazing! I am a huge cake eater so I judge my cakes seriously. The only reason I didn't give 5 starts is because the cake itself was a bit dry. Maybe they need to perfect the gluten-free dairy-free recipe. It tasted good but just a bit dry. It didn't matter to me because the filling was outstanding. And overall, I would order again! As a bonus, they completely met my decorating expectations (see pics). I requested some custom coloring for the cake as well. I ordered my sons cake and a smaller "smash" cake for him. The only thing they didn't make was the figurine at the top, which I got from Etsy. If I could give this bakery zero stars I sooooo would. This is the first time i have used Yelp i know I'm behind. Anyway about 6 years ago I went to this bakery for my wedding cake (big mistake). I order what I had hoped would be a Victorian place inspire cake, I gave pictures... it was supposed to be beautiful. The day of pick up my brother in law gets the cake and brings it up to our wedding venue. I go to look at it I wish I had a picture (probably do not gonna search) it was the most amateurish cake I had seen. Basically it was this ugly 2 tiered white cake with "S"s randomly, like really bad randomly put all over it. It looked nothing like the picture I gave. I absolutely hated it to thos day it still makes me mad thinking about it. We actually went to a local grocery store to get a wedding cake that they rushed for us for picture. The GROCERY store caked looked better. I will give them one thing the cake tasted good. There only real attempt at making the situation right was to offer a free cake for another occasion. I did not take them up on there offer. I have never been back and never will be. NOT RECOMMENDED. read more

When I came in to the bakery I was greeted by 3 transients without face masks. One of them looked like she was on drugs. I was surprised they were not asked to leave the premises. However, I was surprised to see the cake maker without a face mask on as well. So maybe it is ok to not have a face mask off at this establishment. I was happy to know they had my cakes ready on time. However, when they presented then to me, 2 out of the 3 were not decorated as advertised. To make matters worse, they over charged me by 5 dollars because according to them they forgot to quote me for the strawberries I had asked.
