Absolutely amazing pies! The Carmel Apple Crunch pie is so good! Our family plan is to eventually try everything that Robin makes.

I finally got to try one of her pies (Meyer lemon) and it was incredible! The best pie I've EVER had. I can't wait to try them all.

They are so delicious!! Love that we can get homemade bread without all of the chemicals and preservatives. Great place lucky to have this business in our local community. At 9 am on weekdays they have a full assortment delicious, fresh baked pastries and the staff are hard at work preparing trays for later in the day. The servers are friendly and it's not too busy - lines of maybe 4 or 5 people at the most. There are two businesses sharing the same building: Village Bread on the right and Lucid Coffee on the left. You get in line and pay twice, once for drinks and again for pastries. It's great to support local, independent businesses and hopefully the arrangement is working out well for both of them. There are small tables with stools to sit on around the side of the counter on the way to the gender-neutral restroom at the back of the shop. The tables are a bit small but it leaves a wide aisle and clearly communicates that the building is accessible for folks who use wheelchairs. The hum of the oven fans creates white noise in the background and there is music playing but not distractingly loud. I find it easy to get work done here. There is free wifi, ask at the counter for the QR code or password.

I visited this country store after apple picking since my friends and I were craving apple cider…read moreand my experience here was pretty good. The apple cider was good, but I would've preferred it to be colder and not served in a Styrofoam cup. I'm assuming that's because it was the end of the day and it looked like they were running out of apple cider and other materials. I also got the apple cider popsicle for $2 which was a good deal. It was good, but I didn't like how the juice separated from the water during the freezing so it tasted like regular ice by the time I got to the core of the popsicle. For food, I tried their Strawberry Banana Sweet Bread and that was my favorite thing! It was not too sweet and moist. It was $6.50, but not too bad for a whole loaf. The interior was fun and rustic. There are several things to shop for from different baked goods to nic nacs. The service here was pretty good and the staff seemed nice and personable. There's some parking out front as well as some picnic benches and tables with nice views of the mountains and foliage while you enjoy your treats. Overall, a good stop for some casual shopping and to enjoy a sweet treat if you're ever in the Oak Glen area.

The staff was so nice and friendly made me miss home. The. Christmas jam was delicious and now my favorite. I was worried they weren't going to have winesap apples since it wasn't apple season but I was so happy they had them. I was able to bring back a bag to Hawai'i with me in my carry one. If you like varieties of apples this is the place to go to. They give you slices to try and it's so hard to pick which one because they all taste so good. Mahalo and A Hui Hou.

I love their breakfast burrito accompanied with fresh salsa. (No pic) Eggs Benedict has perfectly poached eggs topping the country ham. So much great food on the menu, my family has tried almost everything! The homemade jams are a must as well. I love the vintage feel and all of the nostalgia that goes along with it. It's like coming home. It's a must stop if you're in the area. Take a pie home!

The last few times we've gone, the service has been extremely slow, even when it didn't seem overly packed, which made the whole experience feel dragged out. The food is still decent, but it's nothing out of this world anymore, just pretty basic compared to how I remember it. That said, my favorite dish is still the skillet with turkey, avocado, and bacon. It's a solid option and probably the one thing that keeps me coming back to give it another shot. They've changed the decor slightly over the years, and there's a nice little gift shop section right as you walk in, which adds some charm and gives it a cozy feel. The staff has always been nice and friendly, so no complaints there. I just wish the overall experience matched how good this place used to be, because it definitely had something special before.

The gentleman whom I think might be the owner made his way to the front to assist. And was really friendly and greeted me with a smile. The location was convenient and the inside was well organized and really clean. Everything was fully and well stocked from the coolers with drinks, donut display, and even the self serve coffee creamer stand. I really enjoyed seeing this location operate at such a degree. Growing up donuts were a weekend staple for me and my family. And every place I've gone to, between Banning, San Jacinto, Beaumont, and random stops I've made throughout So-Cal. Over the years the quality hasn't been the same. This place however gets donuts right. The price however could be a bit much. But for what I left with and the quality plus taste. I believe it's well worth it. I've made frequent stops here when working in the area or visiting. For either a dozen or a single long John maple bar paired with an Arizona tea, Red Bull, or coffee. Over all, Great donuts, friendly staff. Great quality and taste. And they also do a veterans discount on Veterans Day. 5/5
