Cakes to Celebrate did an amazing job with our wedding cake. We chose a beautiful three-tiered cake featuring French Vanilla with raspberry and cream cheese frosting, Almond Champagne with raspberry and Bavarian cream, and Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting. We also added macarons to complement the cake. The bakery provided a tasting beforehand, delivered the cake to our venue, and coordinated with our florist to decorate it with flowers that matched our wedding colors. It was everything we wanted and our guests loved it!
Note: This review is for the cake tasting pick up only. My fiancé and I came here over the weekend to pick up our cake tasting. Debbie was easy to communicate with from the very start. Since we're from LA, we were running a little late to our appointment time. I called Debbie to let her know and she was very accommodating. Once we arrived, Debbie was extremely helpful, answered all of our questions and gave us all the information we needed to know about the process for moving forward. We chose two cake flavors to try and when we saw the box, we were absolutely in awe of the presentation for the tasting. We really appreciated the floral decorations added to the cake samples - it definitely allows couples to get an idea of what their cake can look like with added floral piping. As for the cake.. let me tell you.. Debbie's white satin cake is -chefs kiss-. I'm still dreaming about it. I can't tell you more because you just have to try it for yourself! Thank you Debbie for making this entire process easy for us!
My husband and I had planned our wedding at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula. Wilson Creek invited us to a bridal showcase where they hand pick only THE BEST vendors and Debbie was there with a beautiful display of all her delicious bakery treats. We tried a sample (or two) of her almond cake and decided right then and there, that was the one! We could't get enough.. they were so SO good. We ordered a 2 tier almond cake and had it delivered to the venue. Debbie is a DREAM to work with! I changed my mind (and budget) several times while planning, and she just went with it. We even had to change our ceremony time and delivery time. She was very attentive to our price point, and our vision. We sent photos of what we wanted, and our wedding cake came out SOOOO MUCH BETTER than I expected!! Everyone absolutely loved the cake, it was so fresh and moist. 10/10 we would recommend Cakes to Celebrate for any occasion. You will not be disappointed, thank you Debbie!
Debbie McLaughlin is the best! She made our dream cake a reality! This review is overdue, we got married 7/17/21. Debbie was very kind and is passionate in her work. She gave us recommendations and had many mini desserts to choose from. We had a guest count of 150 and ordered the cannolis, two different flavored cookies, mini fresh berry tarts, brownies, an undecorated cutting cake (for behind the scenes and to add another delicious flavor to the mix), and a three tier wedding cake. Our cake flavors were Lemoncillo with raspberry and cream cheese frosting, bourbon pecan cake with pecan praline filling (this flavor flew on our wedding night!), and almond champagne cake with raspberry and Bavarian cream filling. Our final guest count was 140 and every crumb of the cake and desserts were gone (people came back for seconds!) and everyone was asking about the amazing baker. We are excited to order our one year anniversary cake in July as well as some desserts (our family is asking for more cake and desserts) THANK YOU DEBBIE FOR MAKING OUR DAY MORE SPECIAL!
Cakes to Celebrate and Debbie were absolutely amazing and delicious!! I am so lucky I was able to use them for my wedding . If you are looking for a delicious bakery to create the wedding cake of your dreams congratulations!!! You have found them . Debbie was so easy to work with. We were able to text back and fourth to create the amazing cake for my wedding . On our tasting it was so hard to decide on a flavor because everyone was just as amazing and absolutely delicious. I think I had something crazy like 4 or 5 flavors. Debbie was also able to work with my florist to get the flowers needed for the cake. Thank you Debbie for everything! So sorry it took 4 years to finally do my review! Lol
I ordered my wedding cake from Cakes to Celebrate and it was the most beautiful cake!!! I got my inspo from another cake they designed and it turned out beautifully. I also don't know which was better the design or the taste! We had friends who attended multiple wedding this year say that our cake was the best one they've had. Oh I do not know where to begin! When I contacted Debbie , she was extremely busy but she still made the time to go over everything with us and we did a cake tasting. At the cake tasting everything I wanted actually changed and I am so glad it did because she gave me the most stunning wedding cake possible and it tasted sooooo good! She also made us a wonderful one year anniversary cake that we loved so much because we lost our top tier! Her work is very professional , her personality is lovely and she is on time! I did not lift a finger on my wedding day and everything was set up as it should have been. Thank you so much Debbie!

She's full of creative ideas, provides great advice based on her substantial years of experience, and will customize your dream cake with as much excitement as you bring to the table. She was such a pleasure to work with and the cake was not only delicious, but stunning as well. Also, after 3 days in the fridge the cake was still perfectly soft and moist.
We used cakes to celebrate for our wedding cake! Debbie, the owner is so nice! She was super accommodating and easy to get in touch with. When my husband and I tried the flavors we had a hard time narrowing down the options because everything was so delicious! We are not typically cake people but her flavors were seriously that good! We received so many compliments from our guests on how delicious the cake was. I highly recommend cakes to celebrate for your next special event!
Our cake was BEAUTIFUL for our wedding on 11/9. It was exactly what we envisioned. We've seen all of the beautiful abstract cakes that she can make when we went for a tasting. We decided to go simple because we happened to love that look for our theme of traditional and romantic. We ended up choosing 3 different flavors for our cake because ever flavor was DELICIOUS. My wedding was about a month ago, and Debbie of Cakes to Celebrate made a beautiful 4-tier wedding cake. Because my husband and I live in Los Angeles, we didn't want to take multiple trips to Temecula and ended up going to 6 cake tastings in one day. Before we even made it back home (it was a 2 hour drive), we already decided to go with Debbie! Debbie is always so friendly and responsive. You can tell that she really enjoys baking and decorating wedding cakes. Unlike the other cake tastings we went to, Debbie actually let us pre-select the cake flavors and fillings that we were interested in. She baked mini-cupcakes as the samples for the tasting. Debbie was helpful and gave suggestions on what fillings to combine with each cake flavor. After we signed the contract, we wanted to sample an additional flavor, which Debbie was happy to prepare for us to pick up. Even though I had an idea of what to expect (I basically handed my inspiration picture to Debbie and told her what I wanted at the tasting), I was still blown away when I saw my wedding cake. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the cake was, and how the cake tasted delicious (unfortunately not very common at weddings)! Our cake flavors and fillings were: - Dark Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream & Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Filling (I was expecting the filing to be 50/50, but there was way more chocolate than peanut butter, which I was disappointed with--still delicious though) - Almond Champagne Cake with Blueberry & Almond Bavarian Cream Filling - Bella Rose Champagne Cake with Vanilla Mousseline Filling It's hard to choose a favorite, but it seemed like most people enjoyed the Bella Rose Champagne Cake the most. I didn't get to finish my dinner, but I made sure to scarf down all of my cake! However, none of our Dark Chocolate Cake was even served at the wedding. NOTE: We ordered a 4-tier cake plus a sheet cake, which was estimated to 90 servings. However, even with around 95 guests, we had a ton of cake left over! I'm not sure if the serving per estimate is large, or our venue just cuts cakes on the smaller side, but we took home the top layer of our wedding cake plus the entire sheet cake. This was a lot of cake, but it did allow us to freeze our top layer for our first anniversary. My husband and I each took a portion of the sheet cake to work, and our co-workers devoured it! In general, I would say that all the wedding vendors in Temecula charge more than the average wedding vendor in LA. However, if you are having your wedding near Temecula, I highly recommend going to Debbie!

I first started out by reaching out to the owner Debbie through email to see if she could help create what I was looking for. She was extremely kind and responsive! She was always very accommodating to my fiancé and I since we didn't live in California at the time that we were planning our wedding. We would be in California for only a few dates and could only make it out to Temecula at certain times and Debbie was still able to help us plan it all and provide a cake tasting for us. That tasting was phenomenal and sold us right away! Paying for the creation of cakes was pretty easy! They don't send out reminders if you split out the payments (I did it in two payments) so make sure to pay attention to the dates. The only downside in all of this was trying to reach out to Debbie right before our wedding (to ensure the second payment went through to her and to ensure our cake would be ready and arriving at our venue). When I did get ahold of her, she did not remember me or my order, but assured me it was in her calendar. Luckily, my wedding day of organizer was able to coordinate with her ahead of time and I did not know of this until my rehearsal day. So all in all it worked out and everything was assured! Our cake turned out perfect! Exactly what Debbie and I had spoken about almost a year before. We couldn't have been happier with the moist cake and yummy soft filling and frosting. It was SO good! Debbie is AMAZING!! This review is long overdue... Debbie created a masterpiece wedding cake for us last fall and she completely nailed the vision I was going for and patiently iterated with me. From the initial tasting, she had provided such delicious yet beautiful tasting cakes which was so much cake for two people! Also her store is beautiful with so many incredible cakes/designs on display. We knew that we had to have more of her desserts for our big day so we picked a handful of her other desserts and all our guests raved about it! I luckily snagged the last fruit tart and I can still remember how fresh and perfectly crumbly it tasted. Thank you so much again Debbie! read more

My fiancé and I went through multiple cake tastings before trying Cakes to Celebrate. All of her creations were delicious but the maple bourbon pecan & lemon raspberry were our favorites. Unfortunately we didn't get to eat cake on our wedding day but Debbie accommodated my last minute order for a smaller cake less than a week later. It was so good that even the guests who claimed not to be cake people ended up eating their entire slice. I loved my wedding cake, it was absolutely beautiful! Thank you, Debbie! read more

My wife and I got married recently in April and Cakes to Celebrate was wonderful to work with! They delivered the cake on time and made the cake exactly how we asked. This review is long overdue. Debbie made our cake for our wedding in September 2012. I had met with one other cake decorator prior to our consultation. As soon as we walked into her shop she greeted us with a warm smile. I felt very comfortable talking to her. We sat down and discussed our concept which she understood and made suggestions when appropriate. Then we got to the good stuff...sampling the cake flavors. I belive we ended up with a delicious salted caramel,lemon, and an almond cake with raspberry filling. I love that we could do a different flavor for each layer. When the cake arrived at the wedding it did look beautiful. However I did notice some pictures where the fondant had fallen down which makes me sad but family and friends were quick to hide it from me. I was able to contribute to the cake design with some ornaments that i ordered which was pretty cool. If it wasn't for the fallen fondant this would for sure be a five star. I enjoyed working with Debbie and would recommend her. Thanks Debbie! read more

From our first phone call with Debbie to our first bite of wedding cake, our entire experience with Cakes to Celebrate was wonderful. Debbie's shop is beautiful, and we loved doing our cake tasting there. The flavor combinations are endless, and the cakes and fillings are absolutely DELICIOUS. So many people told us that they generally don't even like wedding cake, but loved ours! We did two different flavor profiles: 1) Salted Caramel and Chocolate Cakes with Salted Caramel Buttercream, Chocolate Buttercream, and Bavarian Cream Filling, and 2) Raspberry Champagne and Chocolate Cakes with Chocolate Buttercream, Bavarian Cream, and Raspberry Filling. Debbie created the wedding cake of our dreams, and we would recommend her without hesitation. Delivery was seamless, the cake was absolutely beautiful, and the results were perfect. Debbie is a dream to work with. Her cake was PHENOMENAL oh my goodness. I have had multiple people tell me it was the best wedding cake they have ever had. To give you some background-I am from New orleans where the traditional wedding cake is a white almond flavored cake. Debbie was not extremely familiar with this type of cake but agreed to give it a try. It turned out amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually have dreams about the cake. read more

Debbie and Cakes to Celebrate are the best! We scheduled an appointment for a tasting and when we got there Debbie had so many different flavor combinations that we would have never thought of. The end result still has us speechless and so many guests have complimented us on our cake. It truly was a dream come true! Debbie was amazing to work with! She is obviously passionate about baking, and she offers so many unique flavors to choose from. Wedding cake usually has a bad reputation for being too sweet and dry, but Debbie's cakes are amazing and moist. They even won over my now-husband, who typically skips on dessert. We picked Mochachino and Salted Caramel for our cake, and got so many compliments from guests on how great it was. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cakes to Celebrate. Debbie and her Mom were very helpful in selecting our wedding cake flavors. Cake flavors were average but the inside flavors were what made us choose this place over others. We went with the blueberry. You get to mix and match if you wish. Pricing is average - not too high, not too low. Make sure you setup an appointment first, because that's the only way to come in! They promised to give us a 1-year anniversary cake. Thanks! read more

I'm a little late on my review, I realized this as our 1 year anniversary was on Saturday. AMAZING. That's all I could say. Our cake turned out exactly how I imagined it. I love the little diamond "bling" stuff" but I didn't want too much and she used the perfect amount. Also the pattern of our cake was exactly what I wanted, two tiers with a bit of design and one solid. I also hate fondant and she had options where I could do without fondant. The flavors here are DELICIOUS! I wasn't a fan of the raspberry filling as I'm not into raspberry flavored things (but I love raspberries) and she kept telling me how popular it was and I wasn't buying it! And then we finally found the perfect mix with the raspberry filling, and I believe it was the Almond Champagne flavored cake. We also did chocolate cake with peanut butter filling for our top tier. She was so nice and wonderful to work with, our cake came out great and I would recommend Cakes to Celebrate for your wedding! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Debbie! Cakes to Celebrate was our first tasting (1 of 8) and from the moment we stepped in her shop, we knew this was it. I showed Debbie a picture of the cake I found online and not only did we make it exactly as pictured, she was so accommodating from beginning to end! The cake tasting was AMAZING! Every flavor was delicious! What we enjoyed most about Debbie's cake tasting was the fact that all the flavors and fillings were separate. That way you can create your own one of a kind cake! We ended up choosing 2 different flavors: chocolate orange chip with mousseline cream and almond raspberry with a raspberry and chantilly cream filling. Sooooo good! Most other places we looked at were not nearly as good and definitely much more costly! The best thing about Debbie and this whole experience was that she actually set up a second cake tasting free of charge for our parents to taste the cakes as well! Our wedding guests all raved about the cake! It was so beautiful and delicious! Thank you Debbie!!! You really made our wedding day perfect! read more

We live in Hawaii and had to plan our wedding from Hawaii to Temecula. We are SO truly blessed and lucky to have found- Cakes to Celebrate! Debbie is the most sweetest person you will ever meet. Our cake was the most delicious cake we have EVER had!!!! I must have had a few slices... Lol Thank you for making our dream cake- it was everything we ever imagined. Debbie by far exceeded my cake expectations! The moment I saw my wedding cake for the first time, I was blown away at how stunning it was. She took my vision and made it even better than I could have expected. Aside from the appearance, the cake was delicious! We ended up having a 4 tiered cake made of the lemon with lemon curd, rose with raspberry filling, and funfetti flavors. I had multiple people come up to me and say that our wedding cake was the best they had ever had. We decided to keep our top tier for our one year anniversary, but many nights have passed where I've wanted to eat it early! My husband and I got married at Ponte Winery on 10/2/15. Our cake looked and tasted heavely. It was sheer perfection. Debbie responds quickly to all emails. I have to admit that I can be indecisive and we didn't exactly know what we wanted our cake to taste like. However, cake tasting was so much fun and everything was so delicious! I love how she really encouraged trying different flavors and even mixing them up. The entire process was fun and relaxed. Also, Debbie even adorned our cake with olive branches from her own yard so we wouldn't have to ask our florist. I would highly recommend Cakes to Celebrate. You cannot go wrong.
