My wife and I have been going to Elektra for about 2 years, ever since we bought a second home here. During the 5 months from May thru September we average about once a week. Their food has been good, and fairly priced. Today we ordered our breakfast and by the way, the restaurant was only about half full. After about 25 minutes my wife told a waitress how long we had been waiting and she said that it should be out soon. After 35 minutes I asked our waitress again about the delay and she said she would check. She didn't. We can see the kitchen from our seats. We again mentioned it and said she would check. About 2 minutes later another waitress almost threw part of our order onto our table. Finally close to 40 minutes since our order, breakfast was delivered. NO APOLOGY! NO APOLOGY.! instead she gave me huge atatitude and said I was being rude. WHAT? SERIOUSLY? BECAUSE WE ASKED WHY IT WAS TAKING SO LONG! She was becoming beligerant. We got up and left. I know staff is difficult to get but these 2 waitresses if possible should be replaced for treating a customer so rudely. The owner may not care, but he has lost a regular customer. read more

We had dinner here on a Friday night. There were many seniors and us. I ordered the Athenean sampler and asked for a substitute for the Pastitsio due to being vegetarian. The waitress was great and even got me a bowl of rice as an extra serving. The service was friendly and quick. The salad that came with the meal had olives and dressing that were extremely salty. Glad I asked for the feta on the side. Good quality fresh feta cheese should not be this salty. The meal was okay, again the cheese in the Spanakopita made it too salty that I did not enjoy it. They did give me two servings. Overall I was very disappointed with the taste of the food. There aren't too many vegetarian options on the menu, only a vege burger. You would think they would have falafels on the menu-not. The serving was generous. I am sorry to say that I will not go to Electra's for dinner again. read more

Electra's is one of those casual stops that surprises with excellent food and great service at very good prices. It is right on the main drag of Rt. 7, so it is an easy stop for travelers. You don't have to worry about navigating friends through their selections, because they serve a can't miss menu. Whatever you order is going to be good and sometimes great. Their breakfast selections are fresh and tasty, and service is always friendly. Their lunch selections feature Greek dishes and very good sandwiches. Overall, a very good stop. read more

It is a small cafe, but boy is the food good! I was staying at a nearby hotel within walking distance, which was nice. I ordered the strawberry and goat cheese salad with chicken added. It was a little pricey, but it was delicious! There were nice large chunks of goat cheese, so if you're a goat cheese fan, this is a great option. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because of the price. I didn't experience much of the service since I got takeout, but what I did experience was very friendly. Spectacular Gyro, great service, good prices, eh decor. I visited the Electra cafe on a recent trip to the Berkshires. I can't speak to anything else on the menu but the gyro was spectacular. Thinly shaved lamb on a warm pita with veggies and tasty tzatziki served with a light salad - perfection. The service was great, the decor was a little weird, and the pastries (e.g. baklava) looked fabulous but I did not partake. Their menu is mainly 'American' food but they do serve three Greek dishes - gyros, pastitsio, and spanakopita. And I knew I Greek was the right choice when the waitress repeated my order of a "j-eye-ro" back to me as "(yh)ear-ro" - a pronunciation I've given up on using anywhere outside of New York. Oh and whatever that weird counter ordering system was they've gotten rid of it. Now you sit at a table and order from your waitress. read more

While visiting family in Pittsfield, we decided to have breakfast here this past weekend. Great place to have delicious food with family/friends. With a Meditterranean flare to most of their dishes, they surely do not disappoint. I ordered the Jalepeño Tomato scrambler and it was delicious. Great balance between the heat of the Jalepeño and the eggs. I also tried their blueberry pancakes, a def must have!! The coffee isn't Starbucks, but it's not filled with coffee grains either...would love to try out lunch & dinner next time around. read more

Staying at the Hampton Inn driving through town stopped at this place for dinner. Clean friendly place. Creative dishes I had the salmon that was delicious. My wife had the beet, goat cheese and walnut salad with a honey bacon dressing that she loved. She was so happy because it reminded her of a salad she had in Las Vegas at the stratosphere hotel. The homemade soup was delicious. Will definitely be going back when we come by again. I wish I could've save room for dessert they look delicious. Thanks for a great meal. read more

I stopped in for lunch on the way out of town based on a recommendation and I'm happy I did. The space is small but well laid out and doesn't feel all that crowded once you're seated even though it was packed with locals. You would have thought it was the only place to eat lunch in the area and maybe it is the only good one. I was greeted promptly by the friendly staff and seated quickly after they wiped down a table. The menu is limited and Greek so if you've had Greek food you know what's on it. However, this place is a cut above the standard issue Greek restaurant. The food is obviously fresh and local and meticulously prepared and presented. I had the gyro with greens on the side and it was excellent, not the usual meat that comes off the big hunk on a rotisserie. This was all marinated lamb and obviously local because I've never had anything like it anywhere else. It was very good! I skipped dessert, but what I saw other diners eating looked really good, so maybe I'll give it a try the next time I'm in the area. read more

Delightful, delicious, fresh food in a most non-descript setting. Stopped in at 8 pm, an hour before closing on Wednesday night, famished after a 4 hour car ride, expecting diner food based on appearances. Boy, were we surprised. The menu is not extensive, consisting mainly of "gourmet" burgers, salads, specials, and standard Greek fare, but what they do they do well. Very well. Spanakopita was exceptional. Best we ever had. Veggie burger was extraordinarily tasty and had great texture, and they gladly gave it over a Greek salad instead of on a bun. Special of the day Cobb Salad with grilled salmon sets the bar for me for Cobb salads. Fresh as fresh can be, with loads of avocado, loads of bacon pieces, red onion, hard boiled egg, and incredibly succulent salmon. Pleasant surprise. Highly recommend. read more

Food so nice, I ordered it twice. This has become my favorite place to eat at when I'm in the area. I'm kinda obsessed with the chicken pesto sandwich. The basil aioli they use on it is to die for. Yum yum. I wish I lived in the area so I could come here more often lol. The only reason I took off one star is because it is a bit pricey (almost $12 for the sandwich). The people here are nice. I mean sincerely friendly. And the clientele look like regulars mixed with early dinner before tanglewood types. Lamb gyro was positively weird- as in - no seasoning in the lamb so it tasted more like roast beef and so like no gyro I've ever had (or want to have again). The food here is alright. The prices are a little high, as my father and I both got a glass of orange juice which cost $3 each (I can buy almost a gallon for $6) which I felt was kind of a rip off. The waitress that seated us was new and clearly didn't know much, but I won't hold that against her. I think we just picked a bad day to go, because they were all over the place. They didn't bring any sugar for our coffee, no condiments for the food or anything. They still had the outdoor seating chained up and we had to sit in the chairs while they were chained to the table still. We had the chains removed and even the new girl was very confused by this. I won't give this place a bad review until I try it again on a day that they hopefully have their stuff in order. I have better hopes for here. read more

Wonderful "homemade" Greek and American dishes. My appetizer was hummus with freshly made pita, and carrot, celery and cucumber sticks, and cherry tomatoes. My husband had a delicious spanakopita. Our main dish was pastitsio and we loved it. It's sort of a lighter, pasta version of moussaka. Delicious. (We brought half home.) Dessert was a baklava cheesecake. Yumm. read more

We found this Cafe through other reviews and decided to try it. My husband wanted a lamb dinner and even though it wasn't on the menu, they were able to accommodate his request, and he enjoyed his meal very much. It came with rice pilaf, spinach and a salad and pita and tsasiki sauce and was a very good sized serving. I had the spanakopita appetizer and it was a very generous 2 piece serving. I also ordered the greek salad with it and had a very good meal, even though the spinach pie wasn't the best I'd ever had - it was good though. I would definitely go back again. After several lunches here, I decided to have dinner. It is next to the hotel I stay at in Lenox. I arrived at 8:25 PM. There was another couple finishing up and me. I got a menu and chose the special chicken marsala. After ordering, I waited to get a glass of water and then waited to get my salad. Given that I was the only ordering customer in the restaurant, I thought I would get a little attention. Not so. At 8:45PM, I got my salad. Not sure what took so long. I then waited on my dinner. Another party arrived at 8:45PM. At 8:55PM, I asked about my dinner. The waitress bluntly told me it is cooked to order. At 9:05PM, I got my dinner. It was good. I did not get any more water and no one asked if everything was ok. Apparently they are not concerned about repeat business. After I finished, I waited for the waitress to come back to wrap the remainder of my dinner. NO one came. I got up, took my dinner to the counter, ask that it get wrapped and asked for my bill, paid and left. It is a sad commentary on a little restaurant that serves good food, but does not realize they are need good food and good service to keep in business. If I would have had a better dining experience, I would write a better review. I will not go back because there are other places that really want my repeat business. read more
