Elektra's is a local hidden gem. The food is fresh, hot, & delicious. Plus the service is friendly & good. We ordered the homemade veggie burger which was delicious with their citrus aioli. We also shared the beets & goat cheese mixed greens salad which is a must have - perfectly tossed, fresh & served with a yummy maple balsamic. My daughter had the panzanella panini - simple and good! The ambiance is friendly & low-key, but the decor needs an update. Even if they painted the walls & ceiling & added some bright artwork, this would breathe new life into the cafe. On a recent trip to the Berkshires, we were on the hunt for Greek eggs, but the only good search hit nearby didn't have Greek eggs, but did sound like a good option. (Hit on "Greek" because of the lunch options and "eggs" for the breakfast.) After a brief wait, we were seated along with what seemed to be mostly be well known regulars. The Sunday specials looked really good, and I really had to make a tough choice. I'm a sucker for house made corned beef hash, but when I saw Eggs Electra, I had to try it (always try something different). I mean, thin slices of lamb and tomato, a homemade "feta biscuit" (what was that anyway?), and hollandaise - had to try it. The feta biscuit was the star of the show. Apparently grill-toasted, crispy on the top and biscuit-crumbly, it was loaded with flavor. I could eat one of those every day and be very happy. The lamb slices (~4-5 layers) were thin and just enough for the combination. Of the two eggs, one was a over cooked (tiny pocket of runny yolk, but mostly hard cooked) and the other was perfect. The hollandaise was smooth and looked good, but lacking in flavor. More lemon would help a lot - maybe order with a request until a couple lemon wedges. It's a lot of food, possibly a good thing to split (and get a side of the corned beef hash?). My wife had the traditional eggs Benedict and had the same egg issue (one hard, one perfect) and the same comment about the hollandaise. Because hers was just on an English muffin, she didn't have the extra flavor, and said it was "OK." That's a limited sampling, and I'd probably give it another evaluation if I'm in the area again. Outstanding breakfast!! Wow the breakfast potatoes are so good and everything about the meal was delicious. Even the coffee. A cute place on the main road only open through lunch, has a great reputation among the locals. The employees were very kind and accommodating. Had a very nice breakfast here. Reasonably clean and fixtures in good condition. Quiet location off route 7. Some outside dining, which is not as quiet. Service was fine although not notable. Food was good breakfast fare. Nice choice of toast, and a very nice fruit plate which you can also order in half size. read more

Friend and I went to Pittsfield MA for a quick outing. So what do you do after your quick stop? Obviously, go to lunch. We stopped at Electra's Cafe because it's on the beaten path on the way home. Electra's had a tent set up out in the parking lot for those of us who would rather social distance in the open air. The staff were well versed in how to electronically access the menu. Even ladies who were uneasy about getting the menu were assisted through the process. Electra's has many greek items along with a large menu of your regular items. Friend chose pastistio and I chose their spanikopita. Both lunches were accompanied by greens which you dress with a house vinaigrette. Spanikopita was fresh with an abundance of feta cheese. It was a sufficiently large enough serving for me to bring part of it home for next day snacking. Friend was hungry and ate the whole thing! My last comment goes to the wait staff who were fantastic. Having brought my service dog with me, they brought out a metal bowl with ice water in it for my four footed buddy. They also were very conscientious about taking contact tracing info including my phone number. Kudo's to management for keeping up to date with pandemic tracing. Hands down the best breakfast, brunch and lunch in the Berkshires, superb Greek American cuisine with yes lamb gyros and on Sundays eggs Electra (Eggs Benedict, lamb hold the ham, make their own scrumptious English muffins) and all the American menu items you would expect. Make their own desserts. Almost forgot, as much excellent coffee as you water need. The staff are friendly, efficient and attentive to every need. Spotless, diner decor (no counter), plenty of parking right at the front door. Seasonal outdoor seating. Very moderate prices especially for the quality of everything. read more

Stay clear of this place! Take it from a Greek family if you want Greek food this is definitely not the place. The food here is dry and flavorless the pitas are stale and the portions are insanely small yet the cost is high. The gyros are $12 and are the size of a taco bell taco. They don't serve fries yet sell burgers. It's just all together bad quality food, not a good place to eat. read more

No one should charge $19.00 for a small sandwich handed to you in a paper bag with nothing else in the bag. I forgot my lunch at work and ordered from here because it isn't too far away. I was surprised by the high prices but decided to purchase anyway because I was in a pinch. I was shocked that my sandwich didn't come with fries or even chips! This is a restaurant/cafe not a deli or fast food joint. It has restaurant/cafe prices. It should serve restaurant/cafe sides with overpriced sandwiches. I would have gone to Subway across the street if I wanted a crappy sandwich in a bag. I will not be ordering again. read more

We are long-time Berkshire residents and thought breakfast today would be fun, good, easy and very satisfying. We were beyond wrong. The short-staffed restaurant worked inefficiently, needlessly made people wait for tables, coffee, food, the bill and any attention whatsoever. The pancakes were as good as expected and the only positive thing about Electra today. However, I am a diabetic and asked for sugar-free pancake syrup. The waitress, at first, said they only had the syrup on the table and maple syrup. She then said she would check and returned with an unlabeled cup of syrup. I had no reason to think the cup of syrup she delivered to the table wasn't sugar free. I was obviously terribly mistaken. I wear a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) and within 20 minutes I was getting warnings that my blood sugar level was over 350. It's usually no higher than 150. I am livid and will contact management tomorrow since they did not answer the phone after 2pm today and I could not leave a message. I was misled, lied to and my health was jeopardized. One of the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Good service and priced reasonably, this is a place worth checking out if in the Pittsfield area. We walked in with no reservation at about 9:30/10 on a Sunday morning. Party of 8 so big and we're able to get a table though the place was decently busy. It appeared a lot of local as there / people known to the staff. The menu is somewhat limited but 4 types of Eggs Benedict on the specials menu including an Irish one, a spinach Florentine, a regular and a lamb one. We ordered the regular and lamb one and the kids got pancakes at our table (group split to 2 tables side by side). Pancakes were solid but nothing to note. The Eggs Benedict was amazing. Both were really good in their own way from the custom biscuit for the lamb option and the thinly sliced ham for the regular. The Hollandaise sauce was spot on and balanced well with the proteins and the bread base. Worth a try if you can get to the area. The best thing is we got out for $38 total plus tip. My family went on a mini-mid-pandemic get away to the Berkshires and we stayed in the Hampton Inn and suites. Yesterday for lunch we ordered takeout breakfast-for-lunch from Electra's café which is right next-door. My daughter ordered the scrambled eggs with a side of bacon, which was a huge portion of food. My son ordered an egg and bacon sandwich on sourdough with no cheese, and they actually got it right. Most places put cheese on even though we specify no cheese! Last of all I got the Greek yogurt parfait which was also enormous. As of right now they're dining room was not open but take out was available and delicious. read more

Excellent outdoor breakfast under a tent in front of their diner. We were there in early July, and it was my first time eating out since February so we were a little apprehensive, but our waitress made us at ease. The size of our portions (steak scramble and omelette) were good, and all served nice and hot. The coffee was ok, served in a small paper cup with a cover. We had ample refills which was good, although I would have preferred a larger cup to start. All in all a good experience. read more

What an amazing experience to have found this hidden gem for breakfast. I was referred to the cafe by the hotel I stayed in and it worked out perfect. The first meal... pancakes and eggs were great... Fluffy perfectly cooked large pancakes and eggs done exactly how I ordered. Then sour dough bread amazing and so delicious french toast with once again perfectly cooked scrambled eggs... Electra's Cafe is a nice choice for casual breakfast or lunch with a good friend. Inside is reminiscent of a hometown diner and seems to be popular with seniors. Their food is mostly cafe American fare like sandwiches/burgers/salad. If you're expecting a Greek restaurant like I was, don't expect too many options. Other than the pastitsio, gyro, and tad overpriced spanakopita the majority of the food is classic American breakfast and lunch. I came here solo and was greeted with a smile, selected my seat, and had beverages in a snap. There was wine on the menu which would have been a nice treat but I was in between work and decided against it. The lunch special was a Greek inspired chicken wrap. I had the choice of side but decided to go with a Reuben pasta salad. It was super weird and I'm not sure how that idea originated. It was a Reuben sandwich cut up (bread and all) in spiral pasta. The pickle was a win though, huge and crunchy! It's a toss up between 3 or 4 stars but I rounded up because it was a quaint little place and service was pleasant. The place looks good, the location is convenient, the service is friendly, and the food was (with one exception that I will mention in a moment) delicious and ample. The one exception came in the form of a long hair under my home fries. When I looked into the kitchen I saw this long hair not in a hair net. This is easily fixed, but does take a star away for missing this basic kitchen procedure. I'll hope that hair today = no hair tomorrow. read more

The other half of the equation that makes this joint successful is the staff. They are friendly and make you feel right at home. They are patient and accommodating of their customer's needs. Often, Peter and Corinne, the owners will come out and greet their customers. You feel a sense of community in this place. If you come on weekends during peak times there may be a small wait. We needed somewhere to eat before we hit the pike and stumbled upon this place. Staff were very nice and the food was good. I got the spanakopita which was delicious and came with a side of fresh fruit, which was grapes, melon, pineapple and apples. My mom got a turkey sandwich and they were very accommodating, she just wanted turkey and bread and the sandwich listed came with a lot of other things. I am a pilot and had a short layover at the airport a couple miles away. The place is pretty small and there were seven empty tables that needed to be cleaned before we were seated. They took 10 minutes. It took another 15 before they took our order. The food arrived 45 minutes later and was average at best. An hour and 10 minutes is too long to have to wait for lunch.
