I do love this spot. We have been here a few times and each time is a different experience. I will…read morestart off with the pros Friendly and helpful staff Pool and spa fantastic 2-3 min Walking distance to the beach Wonderful vigilante coffee shop 3 min walk if not less The Seahive shop that has a little of everything from antique to small local crafters A ton of restaurants within a half mile walk A cute little grocery store/taco shop around the corner The sound of the train(for some they find this a con) Cons The parking is tight you will be on top of your neighbors if you want privacy, you won't get any It's a little pricey(it's worth it to us) for some Can't really have a visitor come by and chill for a few hrs unless you pay for the parking $20 The showers the back area are smaller then the one in coach but it gets the job done if they redo the bathrooms it would be better if it was one shower so you have room to move in it. People smoking cigars and cigarettes We will be coming back and staying again the pros totally out way any cons. You should give it a try if you are coming to Oceanside

The City Of Oceanside never fails when it comes to having everything centrally located to it…read more You've got everything that you need right and your doorstep. Shops, restaurants, beaches and yes Lego Land. We were in town for 5 days and set up our RV here. The staff was friendly as well as alot of the guests. Here's where this location fell short. 1. It smelled like a Greatfull Dead concert 24 / 7 from all the 60's generation pot smokers and 2. Alot of the parents were too busy drinking instead of watching their kids and keeping them from running into people at night on their bikes and did I also mention mom's taking their son's into the women's restroom who are clearly old enough to use the men's restroom on their own? It was just weird and super uncomfortable. But this rv park is centrally located to everything and within walking distance to everything. We didn't find the train to be a problem and I loved the fact that they have security since the homeless population around the outside of the park usually shows up during the day and at night. The restrooms and showers are clean and the staff is fantastic about returning calls. They do allow fur babies as long as they behave themselves but check for breed restrictions. I highly recommend making reservations way in advance.

We were there to go to the yearly airshow at NAF El Centro but it was so nice at the RV resort we just set up our chairs and picnic on the grass by the lake and watched the Blue Angels from there. This may be a yearly stop or more for us !!

We stopped by to check out Sunbeam Lake RV Park. We thought we may be interested in staying here…read more It looks great on their website so we drove over to see. We thought for sure it would be a place we would like to be. The entrance is gated so we had to call the office to enter. We went to the office where they gave us a pass for our car. We saw the large pool, the nice exercise room, laundry and clubhouse. There were kids in the pool splashing and playing. There is Sunbeam Lake that goes past the office and some of the sites. The lake seems more than a pond as it isn't far across but it is long and runs to the road-where it is public. They say jet skis and boats are allowed-but no swimming. There are no lake sites or lagoon sites for RVs or park models unless someone sells theirs. We drove to see the various sites. The sites are gravel though not many trees. The park just seems to be missing that personal & friendly touch. Quiet is important to us after working & living out of a suitcase for the last year-so being at an adults-only park where it's quiet is very important to us. Sunbeam Lake may be nice but it didn't connect with us.

Camping at Carlsbad State Beach is unmatched…read more This campsite offers the best of both worlds: city life + beach life. It sits right on the ocean bluff with two sides, bluff-side (oceanfront) and streetside. Obviously bluff-side is preferred, but staying on the streetside is still a treat. A few things I love about this camping experience: - They allow all forms of camping. Tent, RV, van, etc. - The site has clean bathrooms and warm showers. Just be sure to purchase tokens at the front for the shower. - Dog friendly! You can bring your pet along but they must be on leash and aren't allowed on the beach. - Carlsbad has the most captivating sunsets, and if you're lucky, you'll even see a few dolphins. Truly the most memorable 32nd birthday activity with all my favorite people.

It's a great place to catch the sunset on a Friday evening. We were lucky to book a bon fire pit near the music and lots of bench seating for the show. It does get crowded so glad we had our own space. The camp sites are pretty big also, fitting large RV's, two cars, and comes with an outdoor table. If parking off-site (like we did since we were just there for the evening), be sure to walk back to the main entrance to exit if later at night as the side entrances are locked at sunset. Great selection of beers, wines, pizzas, wings, and even some Mac & cheese bites.
