It is conveniently located next to Interstate 8, but road noise was never an issue here, nice and quiet. The park is centered around a 9-hole golf course and is home to mostly permanent residents, but there are plenty of nice, full hookup RV sites available for $45 per night, as well as water/electric only sites. It is pretty, very well maintained, and all of the personnel were nice. We would definitely stay here again!

We thought for sure it would be a place we would like to be. The entrance is gated so we had to call the office to enter. We went to the office where they gave us a pass for our car. We saw the large pool, the nice exercise room, laundry and clubhouse. There were kids in the pool splashing and playing. There is Sunbeam Lake that goes past the office and some of the sites. The lake seems more than a pond as it isn't far across but it is long and runs to the road-where it is public. They say jet skis and boats are allowed-but no swimming. There are no lake sites or lagoon sites for RVs or park models unless someone sells theirs. We drove to see the various sites. The sites are gravel though not many trees. The park just seems to be missing that personal & friendly touch. Quiet is important to us after working & living out of a suitcase for the last year-so being at an adults-only park where it's quiet is very important to us. Sunbeam Lake may be nice but it didn't connect with us.

The cottage can accommodate up to six guests, but our stay was just for me, my wife, and our wheaten terrier. This review reflects our experience specifically as cottage guests, since those staying in RV spaces may have a very different experience. It was also our first visit to this RV resort, and we did not participate in many of the on-site activities. That said, we truly enjoyed our stay. The resort was very clean, the staff was welcoming and engaging with guests, and we appreciated how dog-friendly the property is. The location is also excellent -- conveniently close to the I-5 freeway, nearby walking and bicycling trails, downtown Chula Vista, and the newly built Gaylord Resort property less than half a mile to the south. While amenities such as the pickleball courts, swimming pool, hot tubs, and putting green looked inviting, we did not personally use them during this visit. We ate dinner at the on-site café both evenings, and every dish we ordered was reasonably priced, generously portioned, and served fresh and hot. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout. We tried the Baja Burger, Fish & Chips, Steak & Frites, Cheesesteak, crinkle-cut fries, pretzel buns, and churros -- all were delicious, and we would happily order them again without hesitation. Our bayside cottage was clean, well maintained, and offered beautiful views of the wildlife preserve between the resort and San Diego Bay. The two-bedroom layout provided more than enough space for us and our medium-sized dog. We especially enjoyed the fire pit, along with the covered first-level patio and uncovered second-level patio facing the bay. Although we didn't use the barbecue grill, it was spotless and clearly ready for guests to use for grilling steaks, burgers, hot dogs, or anything else they wished. The sunrises and incredible sunsets across from Living Coast Nature Center and bay, the 26 mile bike path from the park to Coronado, the neighbors, holy moly what fabulous hood. The vibe and cleanliness of the entire place is far above others we've been to. All of this was topped by a kind gesture made by Modi, one of the cleaning professionals for the cabins, she gave me the star experience. One day I needed a pvt place to join friends during a long distance celebration of life. "Modi" (I hope Im spelling her name correctly,) with ultimate compassion she showed me a quiet spot I could be by myself. Then came back after cleaning the cabin with a cup of tea! I trust she will be rewarded and not reprimanded for extending such consideration and tenderness. Also we lucked out being here for the month and joining the Pleasure-Way owner's annual rally. Being close to trolley allowed us to get around easily with bike or on foot. Fantastic clean new playground near shuttle to Living Coast! The only thing that is missing is a place to put your shampoo and essentials in the showers. All in all our month was a tremendous experience.

They have nothing posted saying you cannot bring a guest. It was just my husband and I staying at campsite. They drove up from El Cajon and were turned away even though I went up and vouched for them. Management hasn't got a clue as we were with a group that had total of 9 trailers. They are going to lose our future business. They were so worried about other people in the campsite they didn't think about us as a paying customer or our satisfaction. Also We reserved our campsite months ago and didn't even get the campsite that they initially gave us. They gave us a different one and it had no fire ring or table...Disappointed camper!!!

We don't go back to our home state for months. AND they never sent the check. I had to call a few times and ask where it was. Eventually after 7 weeks, I did receive it. What a scam! They are counting on people not asking for the deposit or hoping they don't cash the check. We moved that they have a bar/restaurant on site but can't get past this crooked check scam. Also the bartender, Danielle has a filthy, filthy mouth, dropping the F bomb about 20 times per night and even other bad language. Not professional at all. Food and drink specials are good, I hate to say. But I have to call out the good stuff too.
