When I returned, my drink that I had just ordered, my name plaque and my Ray Ban sunglasses were stolen. Ensenada has many resorts, but this one is just small enough and boutique enough to give you those intimate amenities like privacy, seclusion, but really it's just an amazing view. I guess the star of the show is ever room has water facing balconies and even the ground floor is not obstructed by the also nice pool. The sun deck/s jut out over the water giving you that "king of the world" experience being right out on the water. It's all about the sunsets. The rooms have comfortable couches, heated floors in the bathrooms and sporadically throughout. Comfortable beds. The TV's are small and not menu'd for check out. Not all suites have a microwave and the coffee machine is a little hard to use even though it's pod based. All the curtains are black out and you'll need them. The price is affordable, but the service seemed to be hit or miss from being understaffed and having some wild expectations on normal. I wasn't able to book a massage which was weird considering it's a vacation resort hotel. The lobby was very nice, very modern and a little concrete compared to the actual room buildings, no elevator and all the rooms had a pretty bad AC condensation drip. read more

If you've been to Ensenada before, you know that the accomodations struggle quite a bit and lack a certain amount of luxury. While I'm not a luxurious person, I do like a nice place that doesn't seem like the pool was built over an old basketball court and some basic creature comforts. Punta Morro hit those marks for me. This little trip down to Ensenada was two couples and me as the fifth wheel, per usual. Well, Punta Morro was completely booked online but when a buddy of mine sent out a few IG messages we were able to land a three bedroom, two bathroom suite and it was absolutely perfect. The view of the pool, the constant (and quick) refills of ice from the staff, the bathrobes, the in-room coffee, a nice sitting area, and the location, which was close enough but far enough to the action of busy downtown Ensenada - a short five minute Uber. The restaurant at the hotel is legit and we spent two days eating breakfast there and enjoying some wellmade cocktails at the bar. I'd certainly eat dinner here based on the menu but our plans were completely booked at night to eat elsewhere. Don't sleep on this place, but certainly sleep at this place. You won't regret is when visiting Ensenada! read more

Restaurant is an A+ some of the best foods I have ever had. HOWEVER I had a bad experience with my room that was $345 per night: Heater in the room did not work, the room was freezing all night . They brought me a space heater and it was still cold. The pillows on the bed were too thick. Like 12-15 inch pillows. I woke up with bad neck ache and head ache. Tv in bedroom requires one to operate the tv with a cell phone. They sent maintenance to my room to help and he could not figure it out. He tried to work on the heater in the room and all it did was blow cold air. I talked with staff the next day and they were nice but had many packaged answers of I am sorry. I will continue to visit their restaurant it really is world class with a view but the hotel needs to attend to badly needed things to make guests more comfortable. read more

Last month I got married here and it was unforgettable to say the least. I had around 155 family members attend and we took over the whole hotel. Every room was us. Great location. Food is good. Why 1 star? They are legitimate scammers. My family lives in Ensenada but are originally from the states. They must have thought we were visitors because we spoke mostly English while there. Anyway, a 225 peso menu item magically turned into 600 pesos when the check came out. This is the second time this happened. I thought the first time was something lost in translation because we were speaking spanish and assumed we accidentally ordered something different. This time we made sure to point at the menu items, and tally up the tab. When the check arrived, all the prices were different from the menu listing. The waiter and server both had the same line "you must have been looking at our older menu, we just updated the menu last week." (Note: you use a QR code to download the menu). Here's how we caught them lying: first, we ate there a couple weeks ago and the menu was exactly the same. Second, we were using a physical menu! They forgot they gave us a physical menu. They sent over the manager who double downed on the lies with the following lines: "You have to understand in mexico this is how it works..." then "we had to raise the prices because gas prices are high today..." and then "Oh the fishermen didn't catch enough tuna today so the cost is higher." When he found out we lived in Mexico, he became silent. We had already paid by that time, and just left. Unbelievable... Avoid the headache altogether and go to a trustworthy place. We've lived in Ensenada for a year and have never experienced such blatant lies and theft, even in the tourist zones. I expected more from a high-end restaurant. It's a shame because the view is great and food is prepared well. If you want authentic delicious food prepared extremely well with honest owners, go to places like "As De Guia GastroFonda" or "Cevicheria" read more

My group came to try the restaurant during our cruise port day in Ensenada. The restaurant is located inside the resort but is open to the public. We took a taxi from downtown and it's only 10 minutes away. The restaurant was stylish and upscale with amazing views of the ocean and coast. The menu includes a wide variety of local, fresh seafood. I had the abalone marinated in chipotle and ginger soy sauce as a starter. I was so happy to see a delicacy like abalone on the menu. Of the dishes we tried my group's favorite was the roasted octopus. It was crispy, delicious, and beautifully presented. All vendors the wedding planners helped me find and book! The price goes up when you wanna upgrade so if you use there chairs and cloth and all that it's a steal but I wanted to do something not white so that was handled with the decorator but if you use there stuff it would be super affordable! Even the dance floor is included but we chose to upgrade ours with the decorator at an additional cost but again super affordable if you us there's! Everyone was in love with the hotel it's so beautiful! And my guests booked out the entire hotel which was amazing! The bar they have here is also good and super affordable! The venue itself was 10k and we spent another 10k on decorations (which alone was 6k), photo, video, violinist, photo booth, music, confetti canon, cake, desserts and screens to show a video our videographer made. In my opinion super affordable and my wedding was WOW something that in the US would have cost me easily 60k + The restaurant here is also good but they were not prepared for the wedding morning everyone was ordering room service before getting ready they got 30+ orders at the same time for room service and they were super overwhelmed which i understand maybe give them a heads up like her wedding morning we need room service lol but overall my wedding was amazing! I really enjoyed staying at this hotel a month ago as you could see on this previous review. I am traveling from the US and was excited to enjoy New Years here. Well I wish I never booked it....We booked this room 2 days before and the hotel failed to mention that every single amenity they offer was closed due to covid. Their New Year's Eve party was already booked, no spots left for their guests so basically had to hole up in the room the entire holiday stay. Her local contacts and wealth of experience made the whole process smooth, even though we live across the border in San Diego. And the manager on the hotel side Roberto was also excellent, helping us block off all rooms for the whole weekend for family coming in from all around the US and Mexico. Sunday Brunch Review Only! Our local friends in Ensenada brought us here for Sunday brunch. We were lucky enough to snag a table out in the outdoor patio right by the ocean! It was a cool but sunny December day and the atmosphere was just absolutely heavenly! The brunch selection was limited, I guess we're just used to having more selections back in the U.S. Options here were pretty typical of a Mexican fare, refried beans, chilaquilles, bbq pork, marinated chicken, bacon, sausage, built your own omelet station, crepe station, built your own quasadillas, dessert/bakery towers, and variety of juices. There was a small section of salad and fruits as well. I stayed away from the cold stuff because they looked like they had been sitting out for awhile...unattended. All the protein selections were pretty descent and tasty. But you can never go wrong with a built your own omelet! The service is good but they could use a bigger area for the buffet, especially the omelet and crepe station being right next to each other, it gets crowded at times. We paid $25 (u.s. dollars) for two of us for our brunch buffet. Not too shabby. read more

This place is truly amazing. Unbelievable ocean views from your room and from pool area. We booked a 2br suite and it was very spacious and clean. Resort is located right off the Tijuana-Ensenada highway and only a 10min drive into town. Staff is super nice and attentive. The views alone are worth 5 stars but I backed off a bit since the TV had little or no English programming and the internet/WiFi experience was very challenging. The on site restaurant is very good as well. We tried breakfast as well as dinner here and very happy with both. Every table has 180deg ocean view. Menu is a bit limited but food is very good and reasonably priced. Recommend reservation around peak hours. read more

I really wanted to give this resort 5 stars, but I didn't because of their restaurant. Our two bedroom suite was beautiful, clean, and smelled fresh. The oceanfront location was perfect. We received excellent customer service at check-in. Now as for the restaurant, my husband and I were dressed pretty casual not realizing that the restaurant was kind of fancy. The lady that sat us down wasn't friendly. We sat there looking at the menu for a long time and no one ever acknowledged us. We didn't complain, we just got up and left. There were waiters just standing around. Two men kept repositioning the chairs to the table next to us but not once checked if we have been helped. Honestly, it's their loss. We are generous tippers. I'm really disappointed. I would come back to the resort but I will never step one foot into their restaurant. read more
