After standing for about 5 minutes, we were finally greeted & seated. The serving service was great & outstanding, he was very attentive & welcoming. The food was pretty good as well, but when leaving, we were completely ignored by the hostess and the two girls standing at the hostess stand continued talking & did not acknowledge us, no goodbye or anything. The server we had was great! But apart from that, it made it hard to give a higher rating because of the ending and beginning. I don't know if I will be back, which is upsetting because the food & drinks were great.

4 star rating is for their 3-Roll Taco…read more This place has always been reliable for their carne asada, California Burrito, chicken chimichangas, and 3-rolled tacos. I've been coming here since it was originally named Alberto's...The outside seating has not changed. It's still the same round table bench with the red umbrella. Service is the same, they're pretty quick at getting your food prepped. Now I said that their carne asada has always been reliable, but my last two times I've ordered a carne asada burrito (sour cream and cheese only) or a CA burrito, IYKYK, their meat has tasted different. It taste like it's some carne asada and then like some other mystery meat, sometimes liver... Either way I stop eating it when I have tasted it being weird. Maybe it's the other meats they serve that get mixed in. I don't dig that. So for that I would rate them down to a 3 star. I'm rating their 3 rolled tacos as 4 stars! It's the best around. It has the crunch and enough meat inside. It's not all tortilla like some places. We always order it with sour cream and cheese only, with carrots on the side. I've tried adeltacos down the street and it doesn't compare. Get it here.

no offense... but... why don't we hold this place to higher standards?…read more if you like globby and greasy, this is the one. i'm not judging. i get it... but sometimes, i just want my burrito made right, not built like it's trying to drown me on one side. halfway cold, too. liiiike... you guys have been here awhile. love their tortillas. (not from scratch) i honestly like all of it. but... this is a 2-star restaurant. i can't tell you all the things i've encountered here over the past decades. edit: recent reviews say one-star, and service is mentioned. yes, good point: no offense, but the service at this place IS exceptionally bad. it's so weird that they are still in business. so... idk. it's kind of a three star, but demotion for all the random inedible debris I've found in my food over the years and another demotion for the bad service and another demotion for how often the food is cold and how often the burrito is built without balance with cheese and cream on one side. etc. this place is not for the weak in that regard. this is not for people who need customizations to their order. i go because i'm used to it, but don't take your friends and family unless they'd ride a mechanical bull in a junkyard.... affectionately.

Best Tortas in the Cypress/West GG area, hands down!…read more I was feeling for some good Mexican, and I remembered the good Birria we had here some time back. This time I went a different direction though and picked up one of their Torta options - the Cubana. Fresh homemade bread with all of the fixings one would expect in a Cuban inspired Torta - quite large as well! The fam got Super Burritos, some with chicken and one with Al pastor. They had nothing but good to say - my son noting that it was really fresh tasting. The service was friendly and knowledgable, and they had our somewhat large order out in really good time. While you wait there's some arcade machines set to free play, a salsa bar with plenty of options, including roasted jalapeños. The place is clean with plenty of seating, and if I wasn't in a rush I'd have probably eaten there nust to get a few more rounds of Marvel v Capcom 2 in. ;)

They tack on extra charges not listed on the menu. Ordered 3 tacos and paid $19 something (handed him $20 and got some coin change). It was 2 carnitas tacos (listed for ~$4.40 each), plus an El Jefe taco (~$6.75). When he said $19 something it sounded high, I questioned it and he said that's what it is. I didn't want to argue further. I calculated it afterward and this was overpaying by $2 something. The amount is not a big deal, but I don't like being stolen from. So I'm writing this, so that others may avoid the same annoying experience. I was hoping the tacos would be really good and justifies it. But they weren't. The El Jefe one wasn't even as described. He said there would be cheese but there wasn't. The guac tasted old. And the whole plate was incredibly oily. The carnitas ones were less oily but not very flavorful either, and there were chunks of fat. Never again. Also the place was just gross. They used the same ladle for all the sauces, so it was all cross contaminated. The bathroom looked like a mess and had graffiti everywhere too.

I also love their topping bar because it's clean and has good options like radish, cucumber, pickled jalapeños, extra onions & cilantro, and multiple different salsas (loveeee the green salsa). The bartender was super attentive, and she was always there so it was very easy to order! I ordered two short rib tacos, which the tacos were $1 off, and the mole tots, which was probably $4 off? Pretty worth visiting during happy hour! Service was very quick. There were also other few people ordering food besides drinks at the bar. Starting off with the tacos, the short rib was very nice! Very soft, tender, and flavorful. You can taste that they put amount of hours to preparing the meat for it. I just wished they added more condiments to the taco cause it was just cilantro and onion. I wish there was like salsa, radish, etc. It's kind of pricey compared to a street taco, but the quality of the meat was definitely higher. Also the mole tots, this was pretty good, although I wish there was more cheese. First few bites were pretty good, but the more you eat it, it does taste quite overwhelming from the black salsa. I wish there was also more toppings to it too. Overall, dining at the bar during happy hour was very chill! The bartender was also very nice and welcoming. Saw a DJ was setting up, but didn't get to see him play when I was dining around 6:30pm.

I liked how they had a bar for salsa, cold veggies (cucumber, radish, etc...) but also cooked veggies (onions, jalapeño) to go with the tacos. The tacos themselves were delicious! I did wish I could have tried their asada (they sold out) for the day. I got the cabeza, suadero and my husband for the al pastor. Husband really enjoyed his al pastor and I thoroughly enjoyed the cabeza. Portions are fairly decent. One downside was the space itself- the ventilation in the restaurant is poor.
