Fried Rice with Chicken and Egg
    Winfred S.

Our babysitter is from Peru and she highly recommends this restaurant. She was free on Saturday so we asked if she would like to go. She said yes so off we went. The restaurant is a "hole in the wall" in a strip mall in Irving. The inside of the restaurant is very festive with all sorts of colors. They have a small shopping area where you can buy goodies to take home. We were promptly seated at our table. The service was prompt. We went with the suggestions of our babysitter. We had the Potatoes with Cream for a starter. For the main dishes, we had to try the Lomos Saltados which is a very traditional Peruvian dish. The combination of Beef, Grilled Tomatoes and Onions, and French Fries was delicious. It had a touch of Soy Sauce that made it tangy. We also got the Fried Rice with Chicken and Egg. It was a different variant of Asian Fried Rice but we loved it. Our babysitter got the Arroz de Mariscos or Seafood Paella. She shared a sample of her dish and both my wife and thought it was tasty. This is a cute Peruvian Restaurant. Give it a try if you want authentic Peruvian Restaurant.

This is a hidden gem! We ordered the Chicha Morado, Lomo Saltado and Jalea and we enjoyed both dishes. They have very large portions so I recommend sharing the dishes family-style. We had a slight wait for the service but there were not a lot of people in the restaurant. Overall, it was bearable for the portion and price point. They had a small market in the restaurant full of Peruvian goods so this was place was a mom-and-pop shop.

Wow, this place is like a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I honestly felt like we were in a different country inside this restaurant. We ended up getting Lomo Saltado & aji de gallina, both classic peruvian dishes. We also got Chicha morada and inka cola to wash everything down. Both dishes were amazing, and they will provide sauce you can add to the food to spice things up. Every Peruvian place i go to, i need to try the lomo saltado, and this place is definitely legit, the lomo saltado is extremely tasty. the aji de gallina is also really delicious. Also, definitely get the Chicha morada drink. its so refreshing! The interior is so festive!!! Its kinda crazy to explain the whole store. They have random Peruvian snacks and food you can buy to bring home to cook. They also have a random section that sells plush toys. Also when we went, they had a live band playing, and they walked around in their costume. This is why i felt like i wasn't in america anymore, and took a trip to peru. I also bought flan to bring home to try, and i have to say the flan is also very good. If you eat inside, they will bring you food, but not sure if the place is truly a restaurant with waiter/waitress service? The reason i'm giving this place only 4.5 out of 5, is that there was a language barrier when ordering. I asked for a 20 oz size for inca cola, and they only bought out a small bottle. I was going to bring up that i ordered the larger size, but actually kept my mouth shut, cuz the smaller size was perfect and less sugar (which is a win, since i need to control my sugar intake. lol) Will definitely be back.

POLLO ala BRASA: inconsistente aveces rico aveces no. Hoy estubo horrible. El pollo de Sam's esta mejor lo Cual lo compro para los perros. CEVICHE: horrible! Los trosos de pescados estan grandes como para patos. Rotisserie Chicken: inconsistent, sometimes good and sometimes worse than the chicken from Sam's which I gladly buy for the dogs.

Returned today after quite a long time. New location off Beltline is very inviting. Got mussels, soup and a beef entree to go. Made for a nice (and filling!) combination. Looked around at the store while waiting for my order. Prices seemed to mostly be marked this time but I found at least some things I looked at to be rather pricy (e.g. 17 oz bottle of Lupini beans for $12). Service was very helpful and friendly even with my language barrier. Will be back!

This is my first time in this location. I went to the previous one and this is definitely an improvement. Food is great, prices affordable. Peruvian food is rated at the top in the world. You must try it.

Fantastic Peruvian foods! We feel very welcome walking into the restaurant. You can choose to sit at any opening table and this place is family and kids-friendly. Very good service and their foods are reasonably priced. The music is a bit loud but that goes well with the fun & relaxing vibe of El Tesoro del Inca. We love the ceviche and beef steaks served with rice, fried eggs, and fries.

Parking: Plenty Ambience: Casual Sitting: Tables Firstly, get in line to Order food at Counter (get a table number) and get your drinks there as well. It has a little grocery corner with local spices and candies. This week is EPIC in terms of Crowd. Due to Soccer games, there were tons of visitors from out of town through the day. The main door could never catch a break, folks were going in and out every few minutes. That said, the Menu was limited to a few popular dishes at fixed price of $16.99 - this is to speed up both food preparation and cashiering duty without causing any further bottleneck at waiting line - very efficiently throught of to keep the line moving and the tables turning. Food is authentic, Cerviche was as expected, large serving enough to share with 4 people. The Saltido with soaked fries and steak bites was super flavorful although the meat could be a little softer. Having watched the fire grill churning and grilling chicken behind the Cashier counter, I went ahead to get the Pollo al Brasas to go. Will be back when the full Menu opens up again - very blessed to have a local Peruvian joint in Irving!

We were out thrifting in Irving and saw this place. Omg what a fun experience. Staff was soooo friendly even with language barriers. We stuck with the rotisserie chicken 1/2 enough for both of us 1/2 a chicken cooked so juicy and fresh with a pile of French fries and a big fluffy salad of romaine, Carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a delicious dressing. Food was fresh so much and our meal for 2 was under $20.00. The restaurant was clean had a store in it. We love to do local tip big and keep there doors open. When you sit at a table then bring you Peruvian snacks to enjoy while waiting for your food.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant out for a while now and finally had the chance to come here for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. We got a few things to really try the menu out. Starting with the mussels which had a great flavor and the right amount of spice. We also got a dish of beef and potatoes as well as ceviche. Ever since I've traveled to Peru, I've always wanted the taste of fresh ceviche again and this place has it! The food was super tasty and the service was great!

Don't even try to buy those alfajores there

We were there yesterday, ordered a rotisserie chicken which was very tasty, arroz chaufa which was as well very good. The ceviche had wayyyy too much milk. We got alfajores to go, sorry but I've never try this bad of alfajores, the manjarblanco it's a thin layer that it is very hard, the cookie itself is just basic. Not really original alfajores. Very dissappointed since I was craving some alfajores. $15 it's definitely a ripoff for those, DO NOT BUY ALFAJORES THERE

The restaurant is very small and has only one toilet in the women's restroom and one in the men's, which is especially inconvenient when serving large parties. The fried bananas were flavorless, drinks do not come with refills, and they don't have cups with lids for children to help prevent accidental spills. The chicken lasagna from the salad bar was good, and the fresh limeade was definitely a highlight. At $40 per person, it is about $10-$15 cheaper than some competitors, but the lower price was reflected in the overall experience. I would rather spend a little more elsewhere for better accommodations and a more enjoyable group dining experience.

A Home-Cooked Feel with a Few Rough Edges…read more My first visit to Dona Maria started on a positive note with a warm, friendly greeting that made me feel welcome right away. I ordered the Calisticas with chicken and the Pernil (braised pork). The crispy plantains were one of the highlights of the meal, providing a nice texture and crunch. The pork was tender and juicy, although I unexpectedly encountered a large bone joint in one portion. The chicken cups were less successful. They were noticeably oily and lacked the juicy, flavorful bite I was expecting. The standout flavor of the meal was actually the chimichurri sauce. It added brightness and depth, and I found myself pouring it over nearly everything on the plate. Overall, the experience felt very much like eating at a friend's home--comforting, unpretentious, and made with care. That home-style atmosphere extended to the food preparation as well, which appeared informal (I did see prep without gloves) and may not appeal to guests who expect a more polished restaurant experience. While there were some enjoyable elements, particularly the hospitality, plantains, pork, and chimichurri, the execution of several dishes was inconsistent. A decent meal with a welcoming spirit, but not one that fully lived up to its potential.

When we first walked in, we stood at the front door for about six minutes with no acknowledgment from any staff. It became obvious no one was coming to seat us, so I had to walk toward the back and ask someone if we could be seated. That should have been the first red flag. After finally being seated, it took nearly twenty minutes for someone to come take our order. Now, over an hour later, we are still sitting here without food. No updates. No apologies. No sense of urgency. This level of service is completely unacceptable. Waiting over an hour for food without any communication is ridiculous. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant based on the service alone.
