    Red enchiladas with quail.

I have not had a warm veggie salsa before and it was good! The menu is fantastic with a wide variety. I had the red enchiladas with quail. The enchiladas were very good. The quail was slightly over cooked but still flavorful. The service was outstanding. I will return.

#35, two chicken taquitos and one cheese quesadilla

This place has been closed down for uncleanliness yet I still keep coming back. I can't help it - it's such savory, such authentic, such lovely Mexican food. Everything I've tried here has been absolutely delectable and cheap to boot! #35 - two chicken taquitos and your choice of cheese or chicken quesadilla - I went for the cheese. Who can beat homemade flour tortillas covered in melted cheese? I certainly can't. The taquitos were crunchy on the outside, filled to the brim on the inside with savory chicken. Guac, beans, rice are all pretty tasty. Parking is adjacent, limited but never full due to location. Not too sketchy but I wouldn't leave my car there or just hang around at night for some reason. Service is limited to taking order and bringing you food i.e. they don't come to check on you, but it's not too hard to flag a waitress down if you really need something. You pay up at the front after you're done. Don't forget to snag some of that 2 for 25 cent gum.

Shrimp Tostada with Rice and Beans

I stopped here for lunch the other day and just found it a little underwhelming. The tacos were decent, but the rice and beans were just meh... A few things I tried: Horchata - do not get this, was a lot more watery than I usually expected. Rajas tacos - good, but they are just missing something. It's a bunch of stir fried peppers that are beautifully seasoned. they just need something else to give them a better texture. Aquacates (Avocado tacos) - super bland, literally cut avacado with lettuce - nothing else (i.e. no salt, pepper, lime juice, nada!) Salsa - I didn't really like the warm salsa at all; just plain disgusting and bland; colder version was a thousand times better. Although I wouldn't make this a destination, this is a great spot to stop by after going grocery shopping all day.

El Sol De Mexico is of my favorite lesser known places to eat Mexican food in Bryan. The menu has nearly as many pages as the Cheesecake Factory but everything is numbered to make things easier. I would recommend the #4 which is 2 cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, and a full order of beef fajitas for only $8. It's a ton of food and you'll definitely be able to take some home. My brother is a bodybuilder and says it is the perfect amount of food though. Each meal comes with chips and hot and cold salsas. Both are great. Get one of their Aguas Frescas - I would recommend the lemonade. Be sure to stop in for lunch next time you're driving down Texas in Bryan.

Very good service. Everyone is polite and friendly. The food is delicious and I would eat again if I'm ever in town.

Great authentic menu, plus they have a lot of yummy vegetarian options, which is sometimes hard to find in the more authentic restaurants.

This is the closest I've gotten to valley food. It's really good. Villa María is closer to campus. I love their rice

Waited 55 mins for food. It literally came out a couple mins before I was going to leave. The service is horrible.
