My family and I were pretty disappointed after trying this restaurant. I got chicken enchiladas which were basically 2 very small dry tacos. It came with rice and beans. Everything was very bland. My parents got fish tacos which had tiny cubes of fish, they said they couldn't even taste the fish over all of the peppers they put on the tacos. We were also disappointed we didn't get any chips and salsa, considering the prices of this place. The drinks were pretty good though. read more

Fun atmosphere and amazing food! Our server, Rom, was really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The margaritas were festive. If you're feeling adventurous, I would definitely recommend trying the crickets! If not, I suspect a more picky eater would also enjoy dining here. read more

"Yes" is the answer if someone asks you if you want to eat here. We're always on the lookout for good/great Mexican food and atmosphere and both can be found here. It has your typical Mexican dishes with unusually selections as well. We had the Parrillada which is a Mocajetes on steroids, so much we took half of it home. This was the first time I have eaten at El Sitio. It was such a wonderful experience. the atmosphere was quite unique, and the only thing I would have to say is that it was very loud. But when you sit down and get into the menu, and deciding what you're going to have the noise seems to fade away. I split a meal With my son-in-law, we had the Cielo Mar Y Tierra and I'm glad that we did because it was a very large amount of food for one but perfect for two. Everybody's meal was exceptionally delicious . The server we had was the best. She was quite knowledgeable of the food, and very helpful in helping us decide what to eat. She was very personable and had a great personality. I would highly recommend going to El Sitio, It's worth the trip. I plan to return again and again. read more

The food was delicious, I'm not going to lie. The problem is that we weren't allowed to add anything a la carte. I wanted the chorizo street tacos, but the waiter wouldn't let us add one extra taco that my spouse wanted to try. Also all the tacos had to be the same meat, no mixing of meats. My spouse wanted the birria, but also wanted to try the carnitas tacos. So I asked if one of my three chorizo tacos could be carnitas when ordering but was told no, that's not allowed. The food was good but the ordering experience was a little ridiculous. Also we sat near a filthy screen covering a window. Kind of a disappointment overall. read more

Saw this restaurant on Facebook and the pics of the food looked delicious so I thought I'd try it. My wife and I went today, anticipating a really nice dinner. We got an appetiser and shared a 36 ounce Tomahawk Steak. The appetiser was basically chips and pico de gallo, but it was pretty tasteless, and the pico was thin and watery, as were the avocado and the queso. It was hard to eat because the sauces were too runny, and not much flavor. The steak was cooked properly, but at 36 ounces, it was a lot of fat, and of course, the large bone. Taste was so-so. It was accompanied by a very small portion of watery beans. I seriously doubt it was actually 36 ounces. Our "plates" were tiny cutting boards and, in my opinion, were insufficient in size to eat off of, more of a small cheese board. My wife had a $12 glass of wine that seemed an extremely small pour. The waiter, while polite, came by only once, and that was to try to sell us another glass of wine. The bill for one entree, one appetiser, one glass of wine, and an ice tea was over $155 (not including tip). I would not recommend this restaurant, based on this experience. We will not return to this restaurant. read more

Someone recommended this New Mexican restaurant and I had to try it out. Hubby and I split the carne asada dinner, the tostadas & salsa and the guacamole (sans the grasshoppers). Delicious food with enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Many of the menu items reminded me of foods available in Oaxaca. Will definitely be back to try the other selections. read more

Had a meeting in Olympia and tried this restaurant for takeout. Not well organized and very understaffed on a Friday night. Tacos al pastor and elote were tasty, chicken fajitas less so, queso appetizer is a pass. Many items from order were missing but trying to be understanding during covid. read more

We came in trying to get some food and were looking at the QR menu provided, but as soon as we started to order, they said it was a weekday only menu. Whatever was available as vegetarian-friendly options were not accessible on weekends. We ordered the queso and it was not that good. Their water also taste very strange. My friend and I ordered salsa and chips as appetizers and the fajita with beef and shrimp for dinner. The chips were hard and tasted like cardboard. Not actual salsa in a bowl but instead beans and three different hot sauce. The beef was bad. It's nice to go out and eat Mexican food in Olympia and not have to choose some nasty chain "Americanized" food with melted cheese all over the tasteless food. The place had a funky smell and the ambience was generally unappealing. Against our better judgement we decided to sit down because we were hungry and tired. Huge mistake. The "enchiladas" were just a soggy cheese taco and the rice was crunchy. My wife ordered tacos and the chicken was burnt and inedible. I had a wonderful experience here celebrated a family members birthday. They went up and beyond to satisfy my needs Dalia was an absolute amazing server. I will definitely be coming back! the tomahawk was so tasty. The guacamole was fresh and made at the table. They make the best margaritas in the Northwest. Had amazing selection of drinks especially tequila. My entrée was cielo mar y Tierra it was to die for I have never experienced such flavors in one dish.
