Let me tell you about this hole in the wall restaurant. It really small inside, meant for ordering to go mainly (looked like on one side they maybe had some tables for seating. Now let's get to the good stuff. I've ordered tacos from here twice and both times were excellent! The food is fresh, delicious, and flavors on point! I tried the barbacoa (goat), which I don't usually eat, but my craving was satisfied and was really tender. The chicken tacos were good as well, although not as delicious as all the others. I tried the lengua tacos (beef tongue), which were really juicy and tender and cooked to perfection. That's my go-to meat for tacos so I was very satisfied with the way it was cooked! I tried to potato tacos, which were alright, but a good option for vegetarians. Also another vegetation option is the huitlacoche (which is a type of fungus derived from corn), which tastes like mushroom and its delicious! I recommend that one! And last, but not least, the shrimp tacos were bomb! Laid on an open face tortilla and packed with toppings and flavor! The green and red salsa are both good, but the red one is fire! Very spicy! How can they be so stupid? I asked them for 2 revuelta pupusas and 2 only with beans, I went to pick up them and I still ask the cashier if they separate them, she said no but she will if I want to. I got home and all of them are of revuelta pupusa . I called them and they said to go and they will replace them, I don't know if I want to go, my daughter should be eaten by now. I don't understand how there are workers that they just don't care. Sad. read more

The restaurant is located on orange grove on a corner, with a good amount of parking. The restaurants theme is very colorful yet comfy. Staff is great. Drinks are natural and good. Don't let the outside or inside fool you, just sit down and order. Walking into Mi Rinconcito Aztecs made me feel young as I'm transported back to 70's!! This place will give you the ambiance of any small county restaurant in Mexico amid California. The food was amazing as I tried beef with rice, mushroom huaraches (based on reviews on Yelp), quantity was good. It tastes as if my mother made it herself. I have no issues with service as others have mentioned it's important to remember to greet and thank the hard-working employees too. I bet it will change the service you get, especially if you like the food and intend to become regular. They also have great tacos (heard from locals). Wow I'm so happy I finally tried this place! The huaraches are just as good as Huaraches Azteca in Highland Park, and there are lots of vegetarian options. I had the flor de calabasa which had whole flowers, corn and zucchini. Also tried the nachos which were amazingly fresh. They used crumbled cotija, fresh tomato, lettuce and avocado, and only a small amount of shredded jack. Does that make them healthy? I think so. The salsas were perfect: a smokey red and a milder salsa verde. They were also super nice even though we came in right before closing. Can't get over how fresh everything was, and we'll definitely be back soon. read more

We stumbled upon this place after a good nature walk at the Altadena trails nearby. The restaurant Is small but very quaint. The attention of the whole staff was very pleasant. I believe it's family run which makes it even better because there is more pride when they assist you. I had the Borrego plate which was more than enough. I couldn't finish it although I was very hungry!! The bathroom was very clean and overall atmosphere was very inviting to come again! I actually tried this location with a small group of people and couldn't have been happier! Everyone was so nice ita a small little place but the food is amazing. Everything is fresh and the prices are great especially for this area. I will definitely be back. If you want good authentic Mexican food check this place out. Stopped by based on yelp reviews, and we were not disappointed!! We started with two tacos each, chicken & Asada which were excellent ! Although small street taco size proved to make us wanting more!! I opted for a sope & my partner had a bolillo sandwich. Both were amazing!! It has a small seating area, and parking although sufficient has a narrow single driveway for in and out. The service was friendly & helpful. We did arrive at 2:00 PM midweek so it was fairly empty. First time here! Really enjoyed it. I don't eat meat but that isn't a problem with all their vegetarian options! I ordered a huarache which they say is very popular here. I got it with flor de calabaza (squash blossom) & my boyfriend got one with Asada. Both were Fantastic! I definitely recommend this place. Good prices, we got two huaraches, a side of rice and beans and two bottled sodas. It came out to $19 and we are full! Also! The salsa is really good! Watch out for the Red Salsa!
