Me and my family are regulars here ever since I was a child! The guy who seems to be the manager or owner is super nice and welcoming! The menu is versatile, with Salvadorian food to also some classic american breakfast. We love coming here, and please try the Salvadorian horchata! Service is incredible, portion sizes are super generous! Couldn't recommend it more.

Pupusas and Curtido

I wanted to try a new pupusas restaurant and came up on this local place not too far from my place. I was a lil but surprised since the restaurant shares the building with a liquor store, but we went to place our order. The gentlemen told us we could sit if we were dining in and he'd bring the menu to us. His service was on point This is the service that I really appreciate and makes me enjoy my food even more. They food was amazing, pupusas were perfect size too...not to small and not too big where you'll get full on one. I absolutely love fried plantain...Always has been my favorite and we're perfectly made. The appetizer platter had a lil bit of Salvadoran specialty, gives you a sample of what they serve. And...There's parking inside

Pupusa de Queso

Muchas Gracias a todos del Restaurante Las Champas. Ordene 4 pupusas de queso y 4 revueltas. Comida autentica Salvadorena! Que delicia! La comida es hecha a mano y tiene un sabor casero. Las pupusas vienen con un sabroso curtido y chile picante (hot but good!). Please come by and get your 2x$5 (plus tax) pupusas! You won't regret it! Thank you for delivering excellent service even though I went in late.

This was my first time trying Pupusas. I ran across this place close to me with unbelievably low price on Pupusas. I read that they were selling for $1.25 and had to try it for myself. When I got there, I saw that the current price was $1.75 for 3 specific types of Pupusa only. Their menu showed lots of different types of Pupusas starting at $2.00 and up. Not knowing what to expect, I decided to play it on the safe side and ordered 6 Cheese, 2 Revuelta, and 4 Chicharron Pupusas for the family to try. The man taking my order was very friendly/welcoming and was happy to answer my questions about the pupusas. Since they made them to order, I had to wait about 20 minutes for them to be made and cooked. This place was inside of a Liquor Store as you can see from the picture of the storefront. So, I guess you can say this is a 'hole in the wall'. When my order was ready, the gentleman notified me and asked if I would like some hot sauce with that. And of course, I told him yes! ;) Before I left, I did unpack everything to take pictures and make sure I received what I ordered. All was in order, plus there was a couple of bags of sauce and a large ziplock bag of what looked like coleslaw, so it was back home to try these new found treats. When I got home, I shared the Pupusas with my girls. We made a brunch of it. I figured the girls would opt for the cheese pupusas, as this was something totally new for us, and sure enough, that's exactly what they did. I went for the Chicharron and cheese pupusa. We tasted from each other's plates to sample the different flavors. They didn't care for mine but loved their cheese pupusa. That was fine because that meant more for me. I was very happy with all the pupusas. They tasted very good. After the initial tasting, we dressed it up with sauce and some of that coleslaw and hot sauce. These reminded me of the sui beng my mom used to make with peanut butter filling, only pupusas are more of a savory treat and fried, not baked. We really enjoyed eating the pupusas, and are definitely going back to try some of their other types of pupusas. One observation I made was that pupusas are very dense, hence quite filling.

Desayuno "Típico" delicioso.

Great customer service. The breakfast was delicious. As a Salvadoran I approved this food.

Stopped by here on the way home from work, it is in a convenience store. They have dollar pupusas, so I came by to get some to go for dinner. Pretty good deal for pupusas, they are normally over 2 dollars. The pupusas are a little bit oily, but pretty good. There are 5 choices to choose from, I got the spinach, zucchini, and cheese pupusas. Great deal, and great service with a smile. I would suggest ordering on the phone, since it takes 10-15 minutes if you order in person.

The "Chicken" I got with my sopa de gallina.

So my wife was ill and wanted some soup. She loves dope the gallina. We have had it before at a restaurant in LA. We found this place on yelp. So I ordered 2 sopas de gallina and 2 pupusas. The guy at the register was very friendly and offered some samples of their aguas frescas. They are all actually really good. I placed my order to go. When I got home I opened the pupusas and they are fairly small but for $1 you can't complain. The flavors are really good. Will def try them again When it came to the sopa de gallina. I opened that and was soooo disappointed. They gave me a a pice of chicken with nothing on it. No meat no anything. I don't know what I was supposed to eat. Like I said before I've had this before and the chicken I get is huge pices of chicken. I'm hoping this was a one time deal. I will def try them again and see how it

The food was great and service was friendly. The restaurant is located inside a supermarket so seating is limited.

I like to get their loroco and cheese, beans and cheese, spinach and cheese, and zucchini and cheese. The pupusas are great in size and very flavorful. I love their salsa and their curtido always tastes fresh. Other items that I've had that are also delicious is their avocado toast, french toast, and eggs. The inside has several tables to sit down and enjoy your meal. It's decorated so nicely and welcoming. I love all the butterflies in the restaurant. Overall, the staff is friendly and food is delicious.

I could be speaking from absolute hanger but my plate was absolutely delicious. I'm not sure what it is called, but the menu is small so it won't be hard to find. They served a side a bread and we had to ask for butter which is no big deal. Unfortunately the staff doesn't really speak a lot of English but pointing at what we wanted worked really well. One thing I am not too happy about was the use of plastic utensils. Now I'm not one to judge bc it could be maybe they do not have enough staff and it is completely understandable, but I mean I'm cutting into a steak so maybe a plastic knife isn't the way to go? Overall it was great place and it was nice and cool inside.
