This was the jackpot! We both ordered the 3 taco plate special. It comes with savory Spanish rice and beans...LOVED every bite. The tacos are the small tortilla type with onion, cilantro, your choice of meat and an amazing salsa is placed on the table for you to drizzle all over your tacos and everything else!!! Came in to try some of their food and the first thing I noticed is there were no prices on the menu. Oh well. Then I see a customer, freely entering and exiting the kitchen area to get what he needs. "Maybe, he's an employee on break?" I thought to myself. The place is dingy and dirty, with clumps of dust hanging off some things and overall, it doesn't give you a healthy welcoming vibe. I went with the fish tacos (three of them). When I was asked if I wanted cheese on them, I was instantly disappointed (I've NEVER had a fish taco with cheese on it, that tasted delicious. Give me the Baja style, every time). I reluctantly said, "yes" because I like to try things the way the cook intended (unless I've got some type of allergy or something). Anyway, these fish tacos, even with cheese, were terrible. The fish was a tiny strip, not fully battered, and fried to an unrecognizable crisp! I added some lime and salt to them, to give them a little taste, but it didn't help much. Also, they double up their full size tortillas here, which really fills you up, but not with anything tasty. I'll come again when in the area and try some other type of tacos, cuz maybe, fish tacos aren't their thing? Hopefully, I can bump up the rating. read more

Their menudo is good, this is coming from a person that never has finished a bowl of menudo in his life. It is a small humble place that really does create something worth the visit. Also I heard their Chile Relleno (in Mexican cuisine) a stuffed chili pepper, typically battered and deep-fried, is another specialty of the house. I hate to do this to restaurants that are family owned owned and have great reviews for others. This was my 1st time trying these tacos I seen the good reviews so I decided to give them a try. When I walk into a restaurant the 1st thing I see is their cleanliness and this place is beyond dirty I would never come back just because of that I feel that if they had different measures in place this place would be much better And although it was kind of nasty and dirty I still ate the tacos and the flavor was great and so was the pri e. 2 dollars each taco. His mother recently passed and it reminded him so much of his momma's cooking. An older Hispanic man and his wife have been running it for as long as I can remember, and they are extremely sweet. Came here because of the high reviews only to be disappointed. I thought I found my hole in the wall with great food. The tacos are okay but have lots of fat on the meat. The tortillas are not hand made as another poster mentioned. Seems like the meat is from superior grocers hard and dry. And price is a bit on the higher side considering the quality of the food. The owner mans the kitchen and usually has a fantastic especial del dia aside from the usual suspects (tacos, burritos, tortas). The hubs is a tried and true type so he always get the burrito de carne asada but I love to mix it up - I've tried the enchiladas and the pipian and I've heard tell that they sell chile verde (pork) on occasion as well. Do you like freshly made pipian, costias in chile verde? If you do Coco the owner and her husband Gabriel make the best that I've tasted in a long long time!!! I've found the new "IT" place for homemade and not from a can or warmed in microwave food! You need to get there before the daily special is gone. This place is pretty decent. As soon as I walked in I noticed it was a small business and felt very 'mom and pop'. I ordered cheese enchiladas and they made them to order. They have a big open window which lets you see into the kitchen which is kinda cool because you can see the cook make your food. The employees were very friendly and very accommodating to my requests. They will pretty much cook you anything as long as they have the ingredients! The reason I gave them three stars is because the food just wasn't anything special. The taste and quality was average, and the service was great. Came here on a Friday night looking for some good Mexican food. What I found was far from it. The place is a tiny little shop that is so easy to miss. The light on the sign was out so I passed it twice looking for it. But finally I found it and found a way into the parking lot. Inside, I found 5 tables, a tiny order window, an even smaller kitchen and a TV in the corner showing a boxing match. I was hoping this would mean the food was gonna be outstanding since it is the type of place I remember going to as a kid. They have a 6.50 special which is 3 tacos, rice, beans and a small drink. I got asada, pollo, carnitas and a horchata. They brought the food out pretty quickly which was a promising sign. I first tried the horchata. Basically a watered down drink. Wasn't a big deal since I don't like it sweet. Next I tried the beans. Extremely dry and almost tasted canned. The rice was the same. I again didn't think much of it since the meats is really what's important. I first tried the pollo. It too was dry. I added some salsa to try to salvage it but I barely helped. The carnitas were better but not by much. I won't comment on the asada except not what I expected. At all. I guess this is why the sign is off and it's hard to find. Not really worth it. read more
