The best soup Ive ever had hands down. Adriana is the best the cook ever. Everything she makes has never been a disappointment. Love that the food is made to order.

I finally got to try this restaurant just in time for heritage month! The restaurant is located in a small plaza. There's also street parking. Make sure you read the signs. I believe Monday is when hours are restricted. The restaurant is on the smaller side with 7 booths and tables. It's family owned and operated. The restaurant was very busy but nonetheless the service was great! I believe the granddaughter was taking care of my friend and I. We ordered 2 shrimp empanadas with cheese, a tostada mixta, a taco gobernador, a taco de camaron, and a side of rice & beans. While the food was getting prepared, she brought out chips and salsa to snack on. The chips were warm, and the salsa was bold and spicy. The empanadas came out first. They were delicious! They're about palm-sized stuffed with cheese and shrimp. The masa itself is tasty. I think they add a sauce to it. I poked small holes in my empanadas to let the steam out. Their ceviche is made Estilo Nayarit with shredded carrots, fish chopped as fine as possible, and shrimp made in two styles: half cooked in lime and half cooked in salted water. A yummy must-try! The taco gobernador has the option to be ordered with medium spice or spicy. I went with medium spice, which tasted more on the mild side to me. Great flavor! The taco de camaron is made with fried shrimp and topped with onion, cilantro, repollo, y aguacate. The tacos were made with tortilla a mano which were thick and fluffy. Both tacos were good. I think the salsa on the gobernador taco elevated the taco more, so I enjoyed that one more. Overall, I had a great experience! I will be back to try other dishes. Definitely give this restaurant a try if you love mariscos!

This is a Mexican seafood place. They have tacos, empanadas, tostadas, soups all available in seafood only. The food is tasty I had the shrimp tacos which were good. I also ordered the shrimp empanadas, they were okay. although I took some home for my brother and he said his were breaded for the taco, mine were not. The beans here are fantastic. I told my mom they were betters than hers and we both laughed. No really they were very good! Its a small place with music that was being played was way too loud. I could hardly hear my mom talking. Music was good but loud. Oh and only cash!

Hole on the wall restaurant was one of the Best mariscos ever!! I have never thought mariscos can taste as good as this place. Must try food that we tried: shrimp Empanada was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, Sarandeado style grilled fish wowed me, never tried anything like this before, it was so delicious and perfectly cooked. Langostino te Acordaras, fried then braised prawns, spicy but really good sauce. Shrimp ceviche tostada had a really nice and different flavor. We really enjoyed everything including the Michelada. We can't wait to go back and try other stuff on the menu!!

Service was great we were seated as soon as we got in. The owner was playing classic Spanish music making a nice atmosphere. The food is delicious A++++ everything was fresh. The sauce with the longostinos was amazing. The empanada was delicious. The sarendeado was cooked to perfection with a nopal under it with good rice and beans. Lastly, tried the michelada which was perfect with for a hot afternoon in the summertime. Definitely will be back.

I ordered the tostada mixta de Camaron. The service took a bit but it's because it's made to order so you're getting the food made as soon as you order. Server was really friendly and would come around frequently to see if I needed anything. Overall a great experience and cozy atmosphere. Definitely coming back here again.

Driving around Old Town La Puente, you'll totally miss this AMAZING taco (Mexican food) spot! Don't make that mistake! If you do, you'll miss out on some of the absolute BEST fish tacos in the city! Seriously, I'm addicted. I ordered two, despite whatever else I may want to order. That complimentary side of langostino salsa elevates the fish tacos to heavenly status! Ugh, I want some NOW! I've had the gubanador tacos as well, and they are freaking delicious. Shrimp, caramelized onions, red sauce and soooo much cheese....that cheese!!!! Wow. Best part of dining here, you'd be supporting a small business trying to survive in an area that the city has begun to gentrify. Places like this, with food this good DESERVE to be here! The customer service is always top notch, too: friendly and accommodating. You know what? That's it, I'm stopping in for dinner.

You know those hole in the wall places that always end up having thee best food, this is one of those. Only downside is it's cash only so hot up the atm before. We ordered ceviche de camaron, a variety of tacos, and a mojarra frita. The standout for me was the ceviche de camaron, it was perfection, and I'm picky when it comes to ceviche. The service was fast and friendly, overall I wish I lived closer so I could frequent this place more.

My sister introduced me to Rincon De Guayabitos No. 2! I've never been to a seafood only Mexican restaurant and it was truly an amazing experience. It's family owned and the staff were so friendly - you feel so welcomed. Every single item that we ordered was delicious. I especially loved and still think about the shrimp empanadas. Yum! The shrimp taco was also delicious! They make all their salsa and tortilla in house and you'll get addicted. If you want the fresh fish (a must!), make sure to call ahead and they can save one for you! I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Get ready to leave happy! Also, it's cash only.

Wonderful service the manager Darla was so friendly and fast. She explained the menu and the owner allowed me to take pictures of her preparations. A beautiful and cozy reminder of the beaches of Mexico!

Wanted to start off by saying that the customer service was 10/10! Darla was suuuper sweet and made my first time at the restaurant the best! I tried about 4 different dishes and my absolute favorite things were the Langostinos (literally drooling thinking about them again) and the Empanadas de Camarón. Darla mentioned that her grandma cooks all the food (which is always made fresh right when you order) and woow you can taste it. The ambiance is super laid back and chill, they even serve some alcohols! The chips and salsa they give you are also delicious. It's a cash only place BUT they do accept zelle as well! I'm definitely coming back and am so happy I live close by!

Not too many local Vietnamese restaurants offer Bun Rieu, I'm surprised it offers this soup! Good portion and plenty of broth for both noodle soups. Tastes as expected. Pricing wise, a little more than I expected considering the local area, but I can't complain about the portion. Also keep in mind it does charge an 18% surcharge for party of 5 or more. I got the Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Wide Flat Noodle and in Medium Spicy. Everything was exactly to my tastes. Fantastic hand pulled noodles with great texture, delicious soup and their chili is actually spicy, numbing and very flavorful. They are heavy handed with the spice, I'd say their medium is a typical extra spicy. I typically order extra spicy elsewhere but was trying to cut down on the oil a bit so got medium here and was pleasantly surprised that the level of spice was just right for me. If you're not use to spice, definitely get mild or no spice. This is a dish I would get over and over again and never get tired of it!

What I liked, soup base clear, had hints of Sand Ginger, Umami Bone Broth, hints of cinnamon, heavy parsley/ cilantro, fennel, star anise, black cardamom, white peppercorns, mmmm, I can taste the broth even now, 2 days after that meal, very distinct, and when paired with their in-house chilli oil, not the one on the table, the actual spicy one they exclusively keep inside the kitchen, you can taste the additional layers to the chilli oil and it just brings the entire LanZhou Noodles to a whole another level. The lamb Rou Jia Mou was really filling. I liked the quantity, not overtly big, not too greasy, and had just the right amount of protein to keep the dish an appetizer, as you await the main course. Pickedled Sweet Kimchi Cabbage was also very enjoyable, although I prefer the in house ones made at Yumi Time in City of Industry better crispiness to the bite in their version and more balanced taste. A solid four, because I'm biased. Having worked with two extremely talented masters in Phoenix Arizona, I've tasted what could be the best LanZhou Noodles and Best Xiao Long Bao any seasoned restaurant staff could ask for. My former colleague Hand Pulled Noodle Master chef Shuai used to head the reknown LanZhou Noodles place in Gaithersburg Maryland serving up all those Ambassadors, Lobbyists, DC Politicians, and when we were in Phoenix Arizona, along with Pastry / Flour Dim Sum Master Chef Sister Ying, we concocted probably the best Xiao Long Bao / Rou Jia Mou and LanZhou Hand Pulled Noodles to ever grace the lands of Arizona and in my opinion, was far superior than any other place in Los Angeles. But again that's just me. I'm biased and I've been blessed to sit down, and have worked with some of the best small kitchen crews and experience great staff meals. And this leads to me to my conclusion: Yes, I'm putting this restaurant officially on my #2 for Chinese Noodle Soups in LA. This place will from now on be in my casual rotation. A no frills, real, down to Earth Noodle Shop. Why I like it? Just the overall setting doesn't try too much. On the surface it looks really plain, boring, not much to expect. But once you try it, it just suddenly makes sense, this can be your go-to Pho shop but for LanZhou Noodles and certain types of Cumin Lamb Chow Mein. #1 Corner Beef Noodle House in El Monte #2 Lan Noodle in West Covina

It offers a generous portion of tender, juicy meat and springy, fresh noodles. "DELICIOUS!!" I arrived at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) on Sunday (around 11AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found culinary magic at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights). The food is fresh, generously portioned, and well-prepared. I left full with a bright smile. If you enjoy spicy beef noodle soup, this is a must-try! 5 out of 5!! "GO!!"

Food is stellar and of value (6 XLB for $8!), portion sizes are good, and everything is piping hot! The soup dumplings have soo much soup IMO beating out Mama Lu's which is what I would consider to be their nearest competitor. The spicy shrimp wontons are also good, but I think the flavors don't quite hit as well - big pieces of shrimp are enclosed though! The Peppered Beef Udon was great the beef pieces were tender and juicy and great textured noodles. Onion pancakes are a staple along w/cucumber salad (not pictured) , and their pan fried pot stickers are my favorite along with the sauce it comes with. Sooo crispy. Pro tip: If you are a first timer/came from far and waited a while don't let them seat you at the bar the experience is not as nice by far (I saw someone say it's like paying to stare at a wall - I concur) Being seated at a booth or table will allow you the full experience but I do understand there's only a limited amount of room in the bustling place.
