The Ambiance was also great. Overall pleasant with the exception of how this so called server conducted herself which might I add never even tried to help but stood by the door the entire time like a lump on a log and then tried to act as if she would have been asked she would have help. Really sweetie you did the total opposite and even ignored us when we tried flagging her down.

Our server, Miles, was genuinely friendly and warm, with great suggestions to match. He struck that ideal balance of attentive without hovering, and he made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. We opted for lighter lunches, a few salads and tacos, and everything was excellent. The ingredients are clearly high quality, and you can tell real thought went into building the menu. It's the kind of food that proves "light lunch" doesn't have to mean settling. The atmosphere deserves its own mention. The Southern aesthetic is done beautifully: country music in the background, thoughtful decor, and an easy, inviting energy. Everyone working was friendly, and it showed in the overall experience. Whether you're local or just passing through, this one is worth the stop. Highly recommend.

We finally got to try this Dallas staple and let me just say, we will be back!…read more After a long day of errands, my boyfriend and I were very much hangry and while we were driving around the uptown area, we passed by Hook Line and Sinker, as we always do! Crazy part is, we had never thought to go in until this day! So we pulled into the parking lot and finally got to see the inside! It was not what we were expecting! We loved that you simply go up to order and they bring the food to the table of your choosing! When we were ordering we noticed they also have a pretty good happy hour! It's mainly wine and beer based, but they have discounted food on the menu also! Which is also a plus! We ended up order a burger and 2pc catfish and shrimp basket! Enough for both of us to share! It was perfect The food came out in a timely manner and it came out hot! The fish was battered and seasoned with salt and pepper along with shrimp, both of which were great! They even had all the sauces you can think of to have when eating fried seafood! My boyfriends burger was a good size, too! I also ended up ordering a peach bellini and omg! I believe they used homemade peach puree! SO GOOD! and it was on happy hour! Overall, the vibes paired with the food and drinks were great and made for the perfect last minute date night dinner! We highly recommend and will definately be back!

We ate the calamari and oysters. They were very good. It was happy hour and we could of just eaten that. Crab legs were very and the fried oysters as well. Hush puppies were very good as well. Unfortunately the catfish was not very good. The breading didn't have much flavor and it was dry. I had to keep soaking it an tartar sauce. I saw many other meals and they looked really good.

Our server, John, was friendly and offered to answer any questions we had. He offered honest reviews and suggestions which were very helpful. We went in search of oysters and they did not disappoint. Very fresh, with a nice variety. The main course entrees were very good as well. The atmosphere was upbeat/lively. The place was clean and had a classy vibe. We each had a cocktail, along with a couple pours of tequila and whiskey. We also had the key lime bar for dessert. We spent exactly $400 with tip.

Paloma had fresh grapefruit and martini was shaken to the point of chipped ice and just the right amount of flavor profile. Started with the crab & artichoke dip with fresh chips. Chips were fresh and crispy. The dip was good, but was expecting a bit more flavor and/or crab/artichokes. Moved on to the mains. We asked for a wine to be paired and our server paired a nice red for each of us. We had the redfish, which came with creamed potatoes and asparagus. All was very tasty. Also had the seared tuna with fries. The fries with thin and hot. Ask for the spicy aoli for the fries. The seared tuna was very nicely done. Service was great. This is a happening place, so be sure to get a reservation. They do have a bar, but it was always full during the time we were there.
