A perfect little shop with affordable food and great service. I bring my team here all the time. We love it. Peruvian cuisine at is best too. Ordered from here again yesterday. They gave me old rice because random chunks were hard, dry and cold. The picante de carne's serving was very small compared to the previous times I've gotten it. The seafood saltado was just okay. The seafood was over cooked and chewy. Disappointing because I really like this restaurant, but hopefully it was an off day. Okay so I've driven past this place only about a billion times never knew it existed until the order day! Every thing was so fucking good I went back 2 days later with my family. We were in the area and decided to grab food. Of course we used yelp and it led us here! The restaurant is in a strip mall that looks pretty sketch from the outside. We decided to go due to the yelp reviews and once I walked in the door I felt comfortable. The place looked clean with a family style fast food setting. The lady that helped us was very friendly and joked with us for a bit. She offered suggestions of her personal favorites as well as popular items but I stuck to what I know best...the lomo saltado! I gotta say the plate was pretty on point. The fries were nice and crispy and never got soggy. The food is perfectly flavored. The green sauce isn't as flavorful as other places but was still good! I ordered Vainitas Saltada. My boyfriend ordered Aji de Gallina. We shared the Platano Frito. It was ddeeeeliciooouss! I've never had Peruvian food and from watching Andrew Zimmern, I was kind of intimidated. I just wasn't ready to eat my furry little friend guinea pig. Well, I didn't have to. Trustfully, I don't even think guinea pig was on the menu. The menu is super English-only friendly as it had Spanish names, but English descriptions under. I wanted something healthy, but good and satisfying. Vainitas Saltada was perfect for it. There were no pictures of it on Yelp, nor much written about it. I was definitely apprehensive, but was greatly rewarded for my bravery in flavor. I'm a big fan of the green sauce and slathered it all over my food. There were plenty of green beans, good portion of meat, and some rice. If you're trying to cut down on carbs--this is it! Very good and much recommended! I only had a forkful of Aji de Gallina, so I can't go too into detail, but it was good as well. As for the Platano Frito...my goodness! It was sweet, but not too sweet. The outside was fried crispy, but not burnt. This place is cooking it up perfectly. It's precise flavoring. Its got it in all the right places. We actually love this place more than El Pollo Inka because it's never as crowded and the green sauce is tastier! I love dining in because you can have as much of the green sauce as you want versus having a limit with takeout! Lol! Our go-tos are the Chaufa de pollo, Lomo Saltado, and the Tallarin de Pollo.....and if we are feeling extra hungry, a whole chicken as well! The worst in flavorful, bad quality, taste like nothing Peruvian food i've ever eaten in my 30+ years!!! I ordered Lomo Saltado, choros, and huancaina. The meat was chewy, bad quality for $16 a plate and had no juice or flavor, it was a waste of food. The huancaina sauce was yellow but for the life of me, I could not figure out how they made it since it tasted like a watery nothing, no cheese flavor, no spice flavor, no taste or flavor at all even after i added salt which is did not help. The choros were cooked but oddly enough they were so over spicy that one bite and your mouth was overcome by heat so it was an all or nothing experience. Whomever is cooking today 10/9/22 should not be in the kitchen and they really need to rethink their recipes because i can honestly say this was a true waste of my time and money, and i'm very sad since i remain hungry for some delicious Peruvian Food!! read more

Very unpleased with the customer service and cashier on 10/23/19. Very rude guy as the cashier tonight at 8:40pm. I placed a pickup order through grubhub for (2) saltado de pollo. The meal comes with soups and bread. When i came to pickup my order they only gave me 1 soup and told me they ran out. I said thats fine but I would like something else to replace my soup that is missing. He told me that they can not give me anything because the soup is given with the meal and i did not pay for it separately. I told him I am paying for my meal and I should have something to replace my missing soup! Why would you give a customer an INCOMPLETE MEAL?! He said "heres some bread" i told him "I come here all the time, this bread is already included in the meal." I again told him that I paid for this meal and it should be complete(As any paying customer should). He then FINALLY gave me that canned drink. I wish I shouldnt have tipped this restaurant BEFORE PICKUP. That TIP paid for that canned drink anyways. As a regular of this place I was very upset at the service I received today. Tasty food at a great price. There aren't many Peruvian restaurants around compared to other cuisines(Mexican, Japanese, etc.) so it's always nice to change it up, especially if the food is worth it. My only issue is that parking can be a drag since the plaza is usually busy. I always order the pollo asado and it always hits the spot. The chicken breast portion *was* dry one time but I just dipped it in the aji sauce AKA green crack and VOILA! Fire. The meal comes with cilantro chicken soup and a bread roll to start, a side salad and fries. A lot of food, to say the least. I oftentimes only eat half the chicken and take the rest to go. Best Peruvian place I've been to . Excellent service!! Got the 1/4 chicken with white rice and beans , both amazing. My husband ordered the same with a side of platanos fritos, he is very picky and said they were the best platanos Fritos he's had. The green sauce is amazing! I love the touch of spice it has , really takes it over the top. The cook came out and asked us how the food was and if there is anything else we needed, wow ! never had the cook come out and ask. This place is amazing, I was in Lima for 3 months and the food is on par, we had the chaufa de camarones, the picante de carne and a half rotisserie chicken with yuca and plaintains. The food is so fresh I'm def coming back w my parents even though we live 15 miles away. We even got a yucca on the house bcuz it took us so long to arrive and they wanted us to have as fresh food as possible. Food not so good , i was very excited to know there was another Peruvian restaurant open and they got Peruvian rostiserie chicken i was not impressed at all , the flavor of the chicken was not Peruvian at all and not only that couple of other plates we ordered they got alot of pepper and no flavor and some people in my fam got sick . This used to be one of my favorite food spots for their lobo saltado. But, the last two times I've ordered from here the food has been dry, unseasoned, and they give you less food now. The man who took my order over the phone got some things wrong, and they only gave us one green sauce for a pretty big meal. First, let me make it clear that this "one star" review is NOT based on the food experience- it is because of their poor customer service I just experienced. I really like Peruvian food and theirs is quite good actually. I placed a pretty large order Saturday through the yelp app partner, which i have done before with no problem. This time, as I started to untie all the bags to check is the order was filled correctly, the cashier tells me "oh it's all there." I trust him and stop and head for the door and as I proceed to walk out of the restaurant, that same clerk yells "HEY!! HEY!!" which catches my attention and he calls me back and tells me they forgot something. I wait and they bag up another item THAT THEY FORGOT AFTER ASSURING ME IT WAS ALL THERE (like i said, it was a large order which is likely why he didn't want me creating an obstruction by opening all the bags at the counter to verify my order). I take the bag and leave. The next day, I get a phone call from the restaurant saying my order is ready for pickup and I say I picked it up yesterday. The guy in the phone, "Luis", says that he got a new order placed and I tell him I have to check my account to see the charges and I see a pending charge for today and I read him the price and say I already paid that yesterday, but I see a charge coming through for today and I ask him is that a new charge and he says he got the order again as new. I tell him that since I do not to be charged for food I never received, and thinking it is easier to just pick up the food on the double order and double charge as opposed to the tedious task of disputing or cancelling the charge, I tell him I will then pick it up. I was quite busy but I figured I'll stop what I'm doing to just drive all the way there to pick it up and when I get there, the lady at the counter tell me something contradictory to what Louis told me and she says I need to pay for this order and I explain to her the conversation I had with Louis and how I'm upset because Louis lead me to think I was gonna he charged again since it came in as a new order. I got no apology for all of my troubles, no explanation when I asked for clarification other than being told if you want this you must pay again. They accepted no fault for their problem that they don't know how to clear their orders or that they don't know how to work their Yelp/Grubhub app, and never gave the least bit of comfort for a troubled customer who has a history of placing multiple family sized orders. I was made to feel like I was a bother to them and that i should be treated as the place for them to take out their anger and frustrations about their own misunderstanding of the app THAT THEY AGREE TO USE! This hurt my feelings and insulted me and was very disrespectful. If you want customer retention, have better customer service. Your business either flourishes or fails based on how happy you keep your customers. read more
