Listen, I usually keep my "hidden gems" locked in the vault because once the brunch crowd finds…read moreout, it's game over. But my spirit was led to share. I swung by Season on a Thursday late morning - trying to beat the weekend warriors - and let me tell you, the ancestors were smiling on me because I got sat immediately. The space is that perfect small-to-medium sweet spot. It's cozy but doesn't feel like you're sitting in the next person's lap. They've got indoor and outdoor seating, and while I could see a line forming fast on a Saturday, the flow was smooth. It's got that "if you know, you know" energy that I appreciate. I started with a freshly squeezed OJ. Simple, right? Wrong. This wasn't that watered-down carton stuff; it was crisp, vibrant, and felt like a hug for my immune system. For the main event, I went with the Tamale Huevos Rancheros. These were two handmade chicken tamales topped with eggs - I requested mine fried hard, because runny yolks are a bridge too far for me - along with house-made salsa, crema, avocado, and bacon. The flavor profile was elite. The tamales were authentic and seasoned to perfection, with a soulfulness that reminded me why I love a well-executed fusion dish. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! I couldn't just stop there, so I added a Maduro buttermilk pancake and the cheddar grits to the order. Let's talk about these grits for a second. These are hands down some of the best I've ever had. No exaggeration. They were creamy, sharp, and seasoned like the chef actually likes the people they're cooking for. Even the pancake was a revelation - it was very unique and stood out from the standard "flat and sugary" situation you get at most spots. If you're looking for a spot that actually delivers on the hype without the pretentious atmosphere, this is it. It's the kind of meal that makes you want to go home and take a nap, but also call your parents and tell them you're eating well. I'll be back, just please don't take my seat when I do.

There is a small parking lot (gravel and grass area adjacent to the restaurant. Restaurant is tiny and they have a nice outside seating with umbrella's. They were busy. Hours are not long for standard brunch restaurants. There was a wait list. We were seating outside. Food was AMAZING!!!!!! Had the duck and pork belly biscuit! Yum. So sweet and delicious. Definitely will be back. We also tried the Matcha flight. I enjoyed the matcha lemonade and the other 3 options were just "ok". Overall food was amazing and very flavorful. You need to check it out.

The drive-thru was full as was the parking lot, but I saw patrons leaving the dining room and attempted to wait for their spot. My efforts were thwarted as a SUV came from behind and cut in front of me to steal spot. I saw another patron leaving and was able to use their spot without conflict. During my visit I continued to hear honking from angry drivers in this crowded and tiny parking lot. The interior was equally crowded, but the lines were not long. The tables were dirty and no employee was working to clean them until about the time I exited. A seat came free at the central communal table seating and I was able to dine inside although there is also a covered patio with additional seating. Despite placing a "for here" my order was served in a bagged to-go container. It had been served quickly and the chicken appeared fresh. The crinkle fries weren't crispy but were decent enough. The chicken fingers were plump and quality, but the coating was pedestrian and not crispy. A 2 or 3 ounce cup of coleslaw was nicely flavored. The Texas toast was adequately toasted and buttered on one side, but a bit stodgy and was the least fresh item in the meal. The sauce and seasonings used were ordinary and could easily be found at a competitor's. Thus the mystery remained unsolved about this establishment's popularity, and I won't be braving the hostile parking lot again for very ordinary food and service.

Portions are very generous!!! Seriously, I cannot finish most of the dishes. The mule basket feeds both of us! Service is very prompt and friendly. The restaurant always seems very busy yet we have always been able to easily find a table and parking. (Some kind of weird voodoo going on with that!) Despite the crowd the dining room feels comfortable not overly cramped. You stand in line, place your order, find a table, fetch your coffee and shortly your food arrives. The staff are ridiculously good and offer smiles all morning. Overall every time we eat here it is a wonderful experience. We leave with happy full bellies and smiles all around. I love it here.

Unfortunately, this poor first impression was only the beginning of a substandard experience. I ordered the Double Swiss and Mushroom Burger with no-salt crinkle fries. When my meal arrived, I was extremely disappointed to find that: * Both beef patties were cold * The Swiss cheese had not melted, indicating the burger had not been properly prepared * The mushroom portion was significantly smaller than advertised and expected While attempting to eat my meal, two employees began cleaning tables adjacent to mine, wiping and slinging crumbs in my direction. Shortly thereafter, a female employee returned and began sweeping the floor directly beside my table. When I politely asked her to stop sweeping so close to where I was eating, she complied, but the disruption had already significantly impacted my dining experience. Before leaving, I visited the restroom again to wash my hands, only to find that the strong urine odor persisted. I reported these concerns to a supervisor on duty. As a longtime customer who appreciates Culver's reputation for quality food and clean establishments, I was extremely disappointed by this experience. The combination of cold, poorly prepared food, unsanitary restroom conditions, and disruptive cleaning practices during peak dining hours falls far below the standards I have come to expect from your brand.
